Kyoto is probably animating it now. They put up a site, a fake 404 error, and a bunch of stuff indicating that it would cover the events in the novel "The Dissapearance of Haruhi Suzumiya", as well as a couple Live Action trailers showing some of the events of "The Bamboo Rhapsody". There are some negative aspects about the series though, for one, it is very episodic and the character development is on the weak sided.
