Shuuda
Pokemon Volt White Nuzlocke Last year, I survived having my bollocks ripped off by Sacred Gold. Now I'm back, and one generation better. This time, I'm taking on Volt White, Drayano's hack of Pokemon White. Just like Sacred Gold, this hack allows you to catch every Pokemon that existed up to the generation, and boosts the challenge across the board. Will (Zekroms') lightning strike twice? Will I go down on fire? Tune in for what I hope will be another successful nuzlocke, with far less grinding than the last. [spoiler=Rule] - Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead, and must be released.- The player may only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else. If the first Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances.- Must nickname every Pokémon.- A black out/white out is considered to be "game over", even if there are Pokémon left in the PC.- Species/Dupes Clause: Adjusting the first encounter rule to prevent the player from having to catch multiple of the same Pokémon, for the sake of variety. Generally this means that the trainer can keep fighting Pokémon in the area until one is encountered that has not been caught yet, which then immediately counts as the first encounter.- If the player runs into a Shiny Pokémon, the player may still catch it, regardless of whether or not itis the first encounter in the area.- No legendary captures. In this hack, it's possible to encounter them in the grass. If that happens, I'll run and re-encounter.- Due to the supposed difficulty of the hack. All gift Pokemon will be accepted. This rule may change if people disagree with it - Outside and Inside areas will be consider separate from each other in regards to encounters (So I can get encounters inside and outside of Pinwheel Forest). - If I get an encounter in dark grass (wild doubles), I get to choose which I catch. Prologue [spoiler=Prologue] Half black, half white. The ultimate MJ fan! I know this is Pokemon White, but I wasn't expecting to heil Hitler so soon. Oh, Drayano's a woman now. I've seen this before, all Pokemon... new challenges, Have fun. Can I have a Skill Link Minccino please? You know, Black and White have one of the best female trainers, but I'll not undergo the change just yet. No originality. Here's a squad of adorable ragamuffins, except Cheren. You know, I don't think I've ever played in any season other than Autumn or Winter. Yes! And then, we'll be free of this go nowhere hamlet. I hope I get a Garchomp. Well, I'll take yours if you don't want it. I need all the fodder I can get my hands on. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! I know the drill. I'll be needing them though. Well, I asked you lot which starter I should take. The winner was... fucking memes. Aren't memes just so funny!? Haha! Memes! Okay. Snivy it is. Seriously? Someone likes Tepig? Fortunately, the Nuzlocke doesn't start until I get my balls. So I don't need to worry about using... except my pride. First battle! I think Snivy must have missed, and hit her instead. Fine work. On the contrary. An easy victory. Yeah, I'm not going be using this room anymore. Cheren awakens his psychic powers! Cheren won't fall for Snivys trickery. Dang! His actually pretty good. Time to cool off, Cheren. Now we're talking. And those are the first battles. We almost got thrash there. And yet the Wii survived. You know, getting the bike like this makes more sense than in the actual game. Ah! The sun! It's blinding me! Thanks. Where at NASA do you work? And now I've stepped into a soap opera. Those aren't her real parents, and it's the mum who dun it. Why. We've already got our Pokemon. I don't need anything else. Well, Lady Dray, it's in the rules. You're best off leaving that to Bianca. Now, let's see our first companion, who I suspect won't last as long as Verdante did. Oh yeah! Hail to the chief! On the other hand, he won't be getting Leaf Storm for a long, long time. One day, you'll read about me in the news: Boy Found Mauled in Ditch. Next time, I'll get my Patrat, Lilipup, or Rattata. How thrilling! Which one will it be!? MRDRHAWK
i thought there were more encounters on the next route than those three though... anyways, this looks like some good fun, considering how your other Nuzlocke was. looking forward to seeing more! Shuuda
Maybe for you. Episode One: First Encounter Adventure! Last time, I got things going to a slow start. That pace won't be changing anytime soon, because I don't want to have to do massive uploads each time. So, here's Route 1, in all it's glory! I get my first encounter, and the first nuzlocke battle. Gripping. [spoiler=Episode One: Part One] No, Lady Drayano! I know how to catch Pokemon. I thought we established this in Sacred Gold. I'm not going to both screenshotting any of this. Seriously can't be arsed, Nuzlocke Begins! Rigged! Rigged, I say! Who will it be!? A little Rattata? Or maybe a Pidgey. This hack has all the Route 1 fodder! Could even be a Bidoof! ... A friggin' Starly! The best first route 'mon! Seriously though, this is probably the best I could get here. AI not understand Contrary. Success! I've got just the name for you. Good nature. She evens comes with free Yache Berry. I believe that blocks Ice Weakness. But should she run into a Skuntank! That one sucked. Fuck Petrel, now £1.00 a litre. Anyway... Gotta train up before hitting the next town. This better not be Mountain Dew... you barge-arse American. Nuzlockes for everyone! Is it me, or does everyone have a weird salute in this game? I think it's got like four buildings. Try growing faster. Seriously, Lady Drayano, I don't need tutorials. Probably the best Pokemon Centre. Nice and roomy. Nothing could possibly happen here. This isn't even a one horse town. It's a street preacher! "... and also the ginger masterrace." They're ready to take over, and make Unova great again! So fast in fact, that I didn't cap his intro. [spoiler=Episode One: Vs N] N for Nazi (probably)! We all saw that intro movie. Bring it on! First nuzlocke battle is on! You know, Nincada would be a great Pokemon to catch. It's evolution is a two for one, though I can't see teh Shedinja lasting long... or the Ninjask. Two shit Pokemon for one. Again... my Pokemon must be aiming for the wrong targets. I hope this Spitfire is with me longer than the last one. She pretty rad. These are some odd choices for the first battle. I mean, Mankey? This animations are faster than Gen IV. I need to practice my timing. AI not understand Contrary. Thanks for the buff, mate. I know I'm overlevelled, but I've got some bad memories from Sacred Gold. I know what sort of evil awaits. Now he's going to log into serebii and look up Contrary. Then do yourself a favour, and don't read this nuzlocke. Yeah, this is gonna be slow. But hopefully, those who read my Sacred Gold playthrough are well trained.
Shuuda
Episode Two: Cherenator The nuzlocke is dragging along nicely now, but things are about to get exciting. I've got a new encounter, and two more rival battles up now. [spoiler=Episode Two: Part One] I don't get that hair. Well, she was about a thirty second walk away. But enough of you! I've got another encounter on my hands. Oh, that's what I wanted. A worse looking Rattata. Beggers can't be choosers I guess. That name is too cool for the likes of you. I'll blitz these trainers to get some easy experience. I think I would've prefered that Wurmple over Ruby-eye if I'm honest. Is that really the name of the first lass? It's a bit... unusual. More Pokemon I would've prefered Ohhhhhhhh! Shit! [spoiler=Episode Two: Vs Bianca] Oh sure. Kaiser could do with an extra level. Even she got something more interesting! Plus it has Fake Out. Jeez, this is harder than I was expecting, even for a Drayano hack. Fine work, Ruby-eye. Thankfully, this can't go wrong. I like to imagine Kaiser glove slapping that little twit. You should've gone for Tepig. This universe will perish if that ever happens. Good luck, though. Finally, the first gym is in sight! But we won't be battling them for a long time. Gifts from bald men in alleyways. This is totally safe, kids. These tough battles are coming in thick and fast. Bring it on, four eyes! [spoiler=Episode Two: Vs Cheren] Cheren's in his element. NERD! Oh god! Oh god! Oh god! Why doesn't he just bring out a knife and cut me? Ruby-eye picking up the slack, but he can't survive another attack. "Moves that can attack first..." Good idea, Cherenator. That's assuming Spitfire can live. Bless you, Quick Attack. Please don't be holding a Life Orb. I always feel dirty having to use items, but I can't bring Kaiser in now. Yeah, Cheren would otherwise be winning right now. He pretty much thrashing me. One crit, and this locke would've been over. Not 'til you get your eyes lasered you won't. I got slashed. And that's all for today. Next time, I'll be getting another predictable new member.
Shuuda
Episode Three: Memes! Well, after almost losing the lock last time, I think I ought to take this advice and train, since I know every gym leader in this game has a six shot revolver of Pokemon. So sadly that means no gym this time around. [spoiler=Episode Three] ... ... A daunting prophesy. Hey, I'm a nuzlocke winner! Don't you patronise me! These Lass names still bug me for some reason. At least she's got plenty of fodder for training. Okay, I could do without another Starly so soon. All you're doing is wasting time. Though I'm getting a good image of Game Freak's evil politics. Oh come on! Kaiser just can't catch a break today. Pah ha ha! Get it! References to things that aren't funny! Isn't that funny!? I guess that's how all Americans understand humour. I was expecting something a bit stronger. No thanks. We'll be closing the door on you right away. Woo! A free Pokemon. I'll be needing it. That's pretty awesome. What's also awesome, is that just like in Sacred Gold, Cut is a better move now. And a little trick I learnt for this hack, is that you don't need the first badge to use it. That means I can get my Dreamyard encounter now. A shame no one on my team can learn them. No more normal types please. I'll take him! I think Drowzee's kinda cool. I look forwards to that always missing whenever I use it. These defence lowering natures are worrying me. Regardless, he's a good catch. And at last, the team is starting to come together. Next time, I take on the first gym leader, in a no doubt terrible match. [spoiler=Team]
Shuuda
Episode Four: Ring of Fire The time has finally come for the first gym battle. I'll stop putting it off right now. Just like in Sacred Gold, the leader will have six Pokemon, so my team needs to be in top form into order to tangle with them. In Sacred Gold, my battle against Falkner was marked by two deaths. Will history repeat itself? [spoiler=Episode Four: Part One] Clyde's such a bro with the free healing items. With him at our back, we can't lose. I love being patronised! Waiter! I order you to throw the fight! Three Pokemon that I'd really like to get. You just have to make this annoying, don't you? It's time! Spitfire! Transform! Oh god, the agony! I can see her bones ripping part. And now she's better. And suddenly I'm in weeb land. I swapped Kaiser in, but I'm scared to Vine Whip because of Sap Sipper again. Finally, we can get down to business. Spikey haired twat. Emo bastard. I don't even have a name for you. Well, it's better than a triple battle at least. Still not happy about it. [spoiler=Episode Four: Vs Chili] When I'm done here, there won't be enough of your Pokemon to fill a match box! Yep, six Pokemon. Aww, how cute! I get to kill all the starters. Dang, I was hoping Spitfire could handle more of this battle, but that Flame Burst was a bit much. One down, five to go. Yeah, Tidaloss reached level 14 and learnt Water Pulse. I guess I might as well just handle this battle the easy way. I shame Cheren's Tepig couldn't sod off so quickly. His ace has arrived. The good news is that I've got a plan for him. Compared to Falkner, this is pretty anti-climatic. Oh, his hat's on fire. Tweety's gonna suffer. Holy shit! Seriously? Dragon Dance!? Sorry, but we'll be shutting the door on you. Snuff that tail out. This is what I get for trying to be clever. Of course Hypnosis misses when I use it. And here comes your reward, Bernard. ... ... Lucky sod. I guess Bernard needed some motivation. And now to sweep the rest of this sad team. Not likely, mate. I've been wondering when I'd be getting some berries. And it is over! No Pokemon lost! (Though we came close to a death) Yeah yeah, fire puns are clever. You're a step about memes. Shit! You know, having the badges and item icons appear on screen is nice for screenshots. It's like Growth, but a little bit worse. And I bet they don't do stupid gimmick rotation battles either. Now get out of my sight!
Shuuda
And now for something pointless. Episode Five: Plasma! With the first gym out of the way, I'm free to deal with this task that will literally amount to nothing... 'cause I'm on an emulator! [spoiler=Episode Five: Part One] Can you point me to the guy who can tell me what typing those Hidden Powers are going to be? Okay! Gotta get me some Munna shit. Back to the Dreamyard we go. No. I already got my encounter here. I even got a free gift. Nice flowers, but I prefer my chocolate Drowzee. Who are these two in the trendy outfits? Oh, the ginger masterrace... ... Yeah, not in a million years. Can't you just buy guns or something? We're in America after all. Capital idea. They'd be better off not being on a nuzlocke. [spoiler=Episode Five: Part Two] That Z is just really crap. I can see why he wants to nab my 'mons now. That level though! Dang. Oh boy, I love that Pokemon even more now. Ruby-eye might actually die here. This is already as hard as the gym battle. I'll just bring out the big guns and put this ginger down. Missed Zen Headbutt. The challenge just went downhill. That Ekans went down in one hit. That lonely nature's working for a living today. You know, Team Plasma would look kind of cool if they wore actual helmets. I like how Bianca's doing nothing. Seriously hope she keeps it up. First Toxic Spikes, now this shit. Couldn't you just Self Destruct? A lady Koffing! How cute. This woman's got much better Pokemon. Where can I fetch a Koffing or Grimer in this hack? This takes me back to Sacred Gold. Bugger! Growth! I should've just used Acrobatics instead os swapping out. AI not know Contrary! Stat boosts for everyone. She spent five turns just setting up. The AI still needs work. Fine work, Tidaloss. The Plasma ladies actually have a cool pose. Well, at least you made an effort at the start. That Ghetsis sure is hard working. I suspect they're used to that. Where were you when I was getting me encounter? Munna shit obtained... fucking finally. I'm on an emulator! EM-U-LA-TOR! I have no friends. That took far too many screenshots for so little of nothing. Next time, you'll get to enjoy even more ginger antics. At least I'll be fetching some encounters along the way. [spoiler=Team]
Darrman
How long will you go without a death? You're already running into close calls.
Shuuda
Progress at last. Episode Six: Time Wasting So I can finally get back on the road. Sadly, this route is going to take ages to get through. Luckly, there are some more encounters to keep me busy. [spoiler=Episode Six: Part One] For the sake of not having to post too many shots, I won't be posting too much of these battles. I do enjoy beating up kids. Oh shit! He's got Contrary figured out! Vee Gee See! Oh yeah. These are some elite moves by me. Now show me the Mega Khan! I wasn't looking forward to this after the last time. [spoiler=Episode Six: Vs Cheren] He's got even more Pokemon than I was expecting. So, we've both go the evolutions. It's on now! Bernard's keen to make up for his failings in the gym. Suddenly, I'm feeling more confident. A Geodude! This should be pretty quick. I get the feeling Sturdy's going to make this locke troublesome. I know I've said this before, but it's the Sacred Gold rival battles all over again. Even the Plasma grunt had a better move than that. Seriously, where do I find those berries? A shame it's so slow, otherwise it's Sturdy might have been useful. Beats me. I don't even think I'm overlevelled. Prepare for trouble... and such. The ginger bastards! We've got to go stop them. But first... Fair enough. But should she run into a Ludicolo. Remember Swift Swim! [spoiler=Episode Six: Vs Plasma] Right! Let's handle them! Bur first... Holy shit! I love the Aron line! I'm going to add her to my team right now. So perfect. They won't listen to us inferior non-gingers. Aww hell yes. I love you, Cobalt. This reminds me to keep an eye open for a fire type. A Houndour would be cool. Another Vee Gee See? Nice choice, Cheren. Bugger. I guess Cobalt will have to go away for now. There can only be one Staravia. Now to sweep the rest of this sorry team. Jesus, this battle just won't end. Finally! We could've saved a lot of time here if you'd just used guns. That was worth the walk around. I hope it was a Garchomp. Awesome. That means I can get another encounter in the city.
Shuuda
I should probably get a move on. Episode Seven: Static After all that exciting business with Team Plasma, we can finally get back to what matters; filler. Today, what stops me progress is not ginger people, but something no less sinister. [spoiler=Episode Seven: Part One] I love Slowpoke. These encounters just get better and better. Time for filler battles! (Can't believe we're still on this route) Double Kick! Fucking hell! This is how it's going to be for the entire locke. I taught Kaiser Hidden Power, and now I'm going to work out what type it is. It's neutral against electric. Do we really have to go through this shit. It's just a Mareep for god sake! Is every trainer going to bring big guns? There's not let up in this hack so far. Jesus Christ! This punk's running me into the ground. My team doesn't do well against electric types. About time. Maybe we can get through these battles quicker now. That'll not come in handy any time soon. Thanks Cheren. Maybe I should've waited to get my encounter on this route. Okay. Second lil' punk. Four 'mons. Earthquake begone! Not even Mud-Shot? Just Rollout then. Cobalt's picking up the pace at last. Punk, you should get yourself a Mareep. [spoiler=Episode Seven: Part Two] Can't I just push you off? So it's resisted by either water or ground. I actually used Hidden Power on this Lotad, and it was neutral to water and grass. It must be rock then. Might be handy to keep around. These battles are much easier when I can rest on my Staravia. I just hope we don't run into any more electric types. Ugh... You know, I consider electric to be my favourite type, but this is pissing me off. Nice of them to throw in some free levels at least. I don't think Ruby-eye and Bernard are dedicated to my cause here. Another free level. You know, there were so many better Pokemon I could've gotten on this route beside Tailow. Finally! For that Gloom, Cottonee, and Petlil I need to evolve! Next time... more filler, as I train for the next gym. Mostly filler at least. Shuuda
Episode Eight: The Return of N In this part, I get to fetch a new, much needed encounter, before running into an old friend. This time, he'll have dirty trick up his sleeve that'll me in terror. [spoiler=Episode Eight: Part One] A perfect spot to do some training before the next gym. Plus there's an encounter to be had. I hope I never have to use it. I desire to challenge the rock! Experience up the arse. 16 to 19 in one battle. Thank you, kind lady. Yes, I train by picking on kids. Nice move. Shame no one in my team can learn it. Who's it gonna be? Please be something to help in the next gym. Thank you, world. Okay though, a couple things. Firstly, no No Guard makes me sad. Secondly, Metronome? Seriously? Anyway. Ruby-eye's going to be taking a break. A fighting type just completes my team. Now to kick the shit out of slightly older kids. Now for some actual fights. Bring it on! All these fighting types are perfect for Spitfire and Bernard to level up on. What a delightful attack for you to learn. Zen Headbutt and Drain Punch. Physical Drowzee is overpowered. Which mean's they'll be really tired, right? I wonder if I could've gotten a Riolu around here. That would've been pretty sweet. Awesome. A new Pokemon, plenty of levels, and money in the bag. Nothing could go wrong today. [spoiler=Episode Eight: Vs N] I could pull down my fly if you want. No one else can see it from this angle. Fine! I need all the levels I can get. Five 'mons. This could be troublesome. A double battle. Just what I was looking for. This isn't annoying at all. That Bronzor must be precise to use Rollout. Since Bronzor's locked into Rollout, I can bring Bruno out and double team it. And that should keep Drilbur busy for a while. N's such a Vee Gee See pro! You think those puny claws can hurt Bruno!? ... ... Okay. I think Bruno needs a little rest now. Fortunately, the battle's winding down. Only two more of this rabble to dispose of. It's a bit of a waste to send a Zorua out last. Man, even when I train my team up, their levels just keep up. I hope the future can consist of you giving me that Vulpix. A fire type could round out my team even more. Yeah. You need to do some more grinding. Reshiram? Is that a curry? I could go for a curry right now. Next time, I'll be taking on the second gym. Something tells me that this won't be as easy as Chili. [spoiler=Team]
blah the Prussian
Damn, can't believe I missed this for so long. In any case, my wall of comments: First off, props for naming as ivy Kaiser without me having to tell you. You get a Gold Star! Second, Team Plasma are ginger Nazis? So, basically, Sinn Fien? Third, the next powerful Pokemon you catch you should name Kronprinz. Looking forwards to seeing the Kaiser retake his throne from N the IRA Nazi! Shuuda
Episode Nine: Retaliation Now it's time for something exciting. The second gym is upon us, and it's the biggest challenge of the game yet. I'd of made a Night at the Museum pun, but it's daytime. [spoiler=Episode Nine: Part One] Can I have it resurrected? A Dragonite would be the bees' knees. Thanks Clyde. I've got just the guy for this gym. Hand over your lunch money, you little twat! In gen six, this battle would be even easier. I seriously hope I can catch a Skill Link Minccino at some point. You'll certainly know what a Locomotive looks like, 'cause I'm about to run one into your face. That's really cute. Honestly. an Imposter Ditto would be sweet to have. I... don't know what to expect here... ... Sacred Fire! Aeroblast! That's kind of bullshit. Anyway. Cobalt managed to pull through either way. Man, she's really punishing me here. Also, I'd like a Porygon! Now that's a pointles subject. Enough of these games, child! Where is the gym leader! Aww c'mon! Right in the kisser! Are we going to be battling Dracula or something? Nope... just this independent black woman! [spoiler=Episode Nine: Vs Lenora] I forgot to screenshot her dialogue, so let's just get stuck in! A double Intimidate opening. Fortunately, Kaiser loves it. Sadly, he doesn't have any physical attacks anymore. The Herdier wastes it's time with Helping Hand. Meanwhile, we can make a start on take out the threats. A spot of luck thanks to Scald, but this battle isn't getting any easier. I need someone who can take a bit of punishment, and Cobalt's up for the task. One down at least. I'm almost certain that thing has Sap Sipper, so Kaiser's swapping out for some Intimidate support of our own. Rock Tomb eh? I guess Spitfire can swap right out again. No worries. I healed him while he was out. I've got to make some progress here at some point. Dang, Bouffalant is brutal. That doesn't help. Seriously, when do I get Sitrus Berries? Lightning strikes twice. Whoops! Fucked that one right up. RIP Bernard. First to go. That's only two of her Pokemon down. This is dragging out. Fucking hell! Furret gets Thunderbolt!? RIP Tidaloss. My pcychic and water types are gone... I wonder how I'll replace them. Right, Kaiser, you're going to have to tank a lot of hits here. Seriously, you can sod right off. Firstly, I think that Herdier needs to die after all. Secondly, dogs don't have hands, so how the fuck is it doing that? Thanks for having a water type. Mutly here can have a boot to the face. I was hoping to cut her down to just one Pokemon, but the struggle continues. It's just a shit Raticate. What can it possibly do? Here's an Intimidate, just to make sure! RIP Spitfire. You lasted longer than the Pidgey I caught in Sacred Gold... so good for you. Who would've thought these two Raticate knock offs would be putting me under pressure. Oh boy! Super Fang! That's a move I wanted to see right now. I guess it can't do much less to Cobalt, so I'll bring her in again. It can still do stuff to Kaiser though. Just one critical, and I won't even be able to rebuilt a six pack. Leaf Tornado doing the finest here. I ended up using Rock Smash in the end. I hope the move deleter isn't too far off. God damn it, Lenora! All this way with no deaths, and then you slap three on the plate! You can salute my arse! Oh look, it's shaped like a tombstone. How quaint! I ought to retaliate right now! [spoiler=Episode Nine: Aftermath] I don't even get time to bury the dead. Give these poor 'mons some peace! You know, Lenora probably could handle all these chumps herself. She's so sassy and independent! Aww hell no! One of them might resurrect a Dragonite. Then I'd be fucked. Yeah... but first I need to do some grinding. Jesus, that ain't right. Those were good Pokemon, you know. Even Spitfire! I had some serious hopes for her, but she didn't even get to be a Staraptor. They all went down like little punks in the end. At least they've gone to a better place. I think I can make this work. Next time, more ginger antics. Link to comment
blah the Prussian
It would appear that there has been a double post. In any case, I suppose that this makes Lenora the Hienkel HE 178, given that that was just about the only thing that could take the Spitfire. Shuuda
Episode Ten: No Birds Allowed After a brutal gym battle, I get to take out my frustrations out on some Team Plasma chumps. I even get a new encounter along the way. Will my team be able to hold it together after our losses? [spoiler=Episode Ten: Part One] You're the experienced gym leader, can't you take the hard way? Oh eff off. I'm already sick of double battles. This damn level curve. I'm probably going to have to grind some more for the next gym. You know. You could've run while I was battling up there. Lazy twat. Some easy experience from these Plasma Grunts. You had money, which is mine now. With that in mind, it's time to shove you down. Experience. I need experience. GIVE IT TO ME! Ugh. Crti Fake Out. Of course. Have better luck trying that crap on an Aron. You've got a point. You're already carrying a tonne of junk. Please don't be a grass type. I'm already well covered for that. That's pretty decent. Scolipede's a pretty cool 'mon. A shame it's not got Speed Boost. Ranger, we've got a situation here. Could you lend us a hand? That's scary, but it's quad weak to flying... so no problem. RIP Mikoyan. Not like I needed her for anything important. Ahoy! We've just found an empty slot for you, mate. [spoiler=Episode Ten: Part Two] Naw, your mate's gonna stand in the same place and wait for me, like a lil' bitch. You know, if Spitfire were here, I could repeat some history. Kinda hoping for Intimidate. No luck. Also, I discovered that's not rock Hidden Power. I've upgraded it to maybe fire. I'll step lively over your nod, you ginger prat. Well I made it this far, didn't I? Great. Golbat's aren't annoying to battle or anything. Here's a taste of your own medicine. Have fun with it. I swear the AI's critical hit rates are rigged as hell. Time for Super Potions. Jesus. Even the Grunts are giving me a run for my money now. It's not too late for you to bring out another Brick Break, or some other bullshit. Drill Run? Close Combat? Horn Drill even? Give Behemoth all the experience he can fetch. That bug/poison is going to be important now we've lost our bird. What a serene way to end this fight. Sweet! Now I can get my Dragonite. That made this totally worth it. Why is Emperor Gestahl here? Pansy. Yes. I'm really looking forwards to that now. It's gonna be a blast. Can't think of any Moon Stone evolvers I really want, but thanks anyway. That on the other hand, presents an interesting dilemma. Next time, it's Shuuda in the big city. Hopefully, I can fetch another encounter. My box has no more replacements, and my team isn't looking that sturdy for the next gym battle. In the meantime. A simple question for anyone to give input on. [spoiler=Question] Slowbro or Slowking? Which of these evolutions of Slowpoke should I take. Naturally, water/pychic is weak in the next gym, so I won't be using Snooze either way. Either I wait to get a Slowbro, or get a Slowking sooner. blah the Prussian
I prefer Slowking, for obvious reasons. Soon, this team will be going all Third Coalition on Team Plasma's ass!
Shuuda
Episode Eleven: Take Your Pokemon to Work Day Today, I'll be bumming around in Castelia City, doing some more training. There are a few surprises here and there, plus a good encounter. [spoiler=Episode Eleven: Part One] Why... why! Tidaloss... come back to me! I need some battles to take my mind off all those losses. We might even get new losses to weep over. Bring it on! Big business should give out big money. This fine lady offered up four water types for Kaiser to thrash. Snooze is still a Slowpoke. I'm undecided for the moment on which evolution I want. Oh kind. I might put that on Snooze. Even nicer, but I think I'll hold off on that for now. It's 'cause you're German. Wait... Abra has Metronome? And uses Bolt Strike!? Isn't that Zekrom's move? Fortunately, it doesn't actually do that much damage to Snooze. Ghost type Hidden Power! Fire type Hidden Power. I've got a lot of mileage out of that TM. This Spinda knows Psybeam. It also knows Copycat... which is used to get Low Sweep when I swapped to my normal type. This guy's clever. ... Come ... on... Snooze.... Use... you know... Brine. Awesome reward. I'll be putting that on Behemoth for those critical Poison Tails. [spoiler=Episode Eleven: Part Two] Next floor begin! Heh... the perfect counter! What's this! That's the meaning of this! I must've missplaced that King's Rock. Oh well. You're a Slowqueen now. Try laser eye surgery then. A Drifloon would be nice to find out in that desert. I really need another flying type. Is this bloke's sprite unique or something? Compared to the last episode, this battles are much easier. I hope that means I'm finally getting on top of things now. You might be able to snap my neck, but what about your Pokemon? I hope that Ghastly wasn't killed in a road accident, 'cause we're about to run you down! Though honestly, Pursuit isn't exactly strong. Mega Lopunny? We'll evolve you into a Machoke, and then tell you to keep it in your pants. You know, it never occured to me in this fight that Skiploom might have Acrobatics or something. Oh god, does that have Skill Link? Grand. I guess that plan came to a halt quickly. Fortunately, it's only attack was Tail Sweep, and it didn't even have Skill Link. Another nice rewards. This was actually worth the time. But now I have to get another encounter. Maybe one day, my recruits box will have more 'mons than the death box. Hello? Fossils just laying around? I might need to do some more rooting around later. But now I have to get an actual encounter. That's awesome. Never used a Hippowdon before. I won't be adding her to the team though. I'll be keeping her for the fourth gym. So next time, my adventures in the city will continue... but who knows, I might have a few new Pokemon here and there. Just a hunch.
blah the Prussian
Some people think that Route 4 is supposed to be Ground Zero. That theory is obviously bullshit, because last I checked ground zero didn't have fucking hippos.
Shuuda
Episode Twelve: Plasbad! This is a shorter episode, with me and the gang dealing with Team Plasma yet again. I did some rooting around the desert, and found some more fossils, so you'll be introduced to some new Pokemon. [spoiler=Episode Twelve] You've got the wrong nature there, buddy. You've got no nature... but you're pretty good. You've got a bad nature, but I need a flying type, so welcome aboard. That means I can get even more levels. Let's go find them! Those bastards! I never even got to thrash that Munna! That's lucky for us. Let's surround her and force molten gold down her gullet! Must be his spidey senses. I'm convinced. Let's look somewhere else. Sounds fine to me. Dang. I was hoping to have all the experience to myself. A male Combee... how sad. Not even they care really. Now we're talking! That negative speed nature is really gonna suck. But that attack stat is delightful. Aww sweet, a Shedinja! He's a cool fellow. And now he can rest in peace. Now he can keep it in his pants! I've always loved that line. Plus three. Old man Ghetsis and his stories. It's really kinda generic you know. And Ghetsis will be that hero! He's an eyepatch and everything. He's like a pirate hero or some shit. That makes it sound like you're givin' up on your plans, mate. Mission accomplished! Now I can kick the shit out of it. I hope this means you won't have any when I Ice Beam your Pokemon. You'll be waiting a while. I've still got some training to do. Next time, I take the third gym! [spoiler=Team]
Moblin Major General
Trust me when I say that you need to grind to 35 or 40, even with adequate Pokémon for the Gym.
