According to Bulbapedia (which in turn got its information from a Pokémon website, I'm sure), Rowlet can perform powerful kicks. I guess that could mean we'll be seeing some fighting type moves on it as well, and that it'll have a higher attack than special attack.

I'm thinking double kick is basically a shoe-in for it's moveset.

I love both Fire Cat and Grass Owl, but I'm going with Fire Cat because I can't say no to cats. I've never liked clowns, so the Clown Seal gets an automatic "meh" from me. The names are all dumb as hell, though.

I've been Team Moon since the games were announced because I've always loved the moon. There's a practically 100% chance my husband will go Sun because he likes to complete the Pokédex so he usually goes the opposite of me, plus I can definitely see him digging that badass lion legendary. The Moon legendary looks rather creepy and almost Lovecraftian to me, so I rather like that a lot.

There's a part of me that wishes I could cut of news from here and go into the games blind, but sadly that's not an option. :P Ah well, just a little over 6 months.

In French, Litten is litterally named Flameow, so....

When B2W2 came out, there was a fake scan with a Grass Owl, so I'm glad it's finally true.

The Legendary all looks inhuman to me. Not sure exactly why.

I'm not sure which version or which Starter I'd choose yet (but it's probably either Rowlet or Litten.)

It dépends of so much thing. Like the Final Evolution

If I find another really cool Fire/Grass/Water Mon, I won't take the corresponding Starter. It will also infuence which Version I get (because basing my choice ona Pokémon I'll never use is quite ridiculous.)

You know I'm pretty sure a certain subset of the Pokemon fandom will get Litten once this comes out. So much so they'd be stupid to not have an event for a shiny Litten March 20th 2017...I'm not sorry.

Rowlet reminds me of an overly excited door to door mormon, nottosaythatheisn'tbyfarthecuteststarterbecauseheis, but that was just my first impression of him. Even though he's the best starter (Fite me) I'm a little cautious to pick him after Chespin...

At the moment I think I'm going to go sun. The moon legendary just seems a bit over-designed. It's certainly not the worst I've seen, but compared to the sleeker design of sun I know which I choose. However the animation for its special attack is pretty cool looking.

But I believe there's a reason. I've noticed before.

When starters are first revealed, there always those who are very popular like Snivy and Fennekin.

But because of the popularity of some starters, it creates expectations for their evolutions, and when said evolutions are revealed, they never meet the fans's expectations.

So I expect a lot of people will not like Rowelt ans Litten's evolutions becuase of said expectations.

I like all the starters but I think my favorites are Litten and Pipplio! Not that there's anything wrong with Rowlet but I don't really care birds (there's something about Rowlet's eyes that freaks me out). I voted for Litten since it will be my first starter and well... I love cats and I've always wanted cat-like starter.

As for which version, I don't really know so I'll just wait until which version has the most Pokemon I like more. Although, I will say that I like Sun's legendary a bit more (I love lions) but I will wait for more info before choosing a version. Maybe I'll just buy both.

The region looks very nice so far, I've always loved Hawaii. I also like the designs for the human characters so far as well (other then the hat that the female player wears but I think we may be able to change our characters' outfit so it won't be a big deal).

Litten on the other hand won't be the most interesting thing in the world, but right now I don't see any elements that'll lead to an ugly evolution. Of course there is the problem I've been noticing more and more with starters.

Instead of evolutions looking like the natural progression of a pokemon they instead look like someone designed a cute 1st stage, another person designed a cool 3rd stage, and a poor third artist had to figure out how to connect the two. I really think that was the problem Chespin, and a few others too. It's lead to me and my friends calling the 2nd evolution the "Awkward Puberty" of a pokemon.

I'm 90% sure it's the same face as the one on the statues in that one scene in the trailer.

If anything, it's surprising that they would tease their next major project that far in advance.

Actually, I remember that when X and Y were first released, Ken Sugimori gave an interview and said that they were already working on Gen 7 back in 2013.

Well, I guess this finally shuts the door on any possibility that these games may have once been Plus and Minus. No grass/electric palm tree, no water/steel tear drop thing, no fire/fairy bike monster... no Slowking statue mimicking the Dahli Lama one.

Just because one reputable source says something doesn't make it true... at least it made me excited for 7th gen when 6th gen was barely out of the gate.
