Conquest DLC timing

Recently I started my play through of Conquest, and I was wondering after what chapter (and with what characters) would be the best time to finish the Before Awakening DLC. I just finished chapter 8 and I am in hard difficulty.

Ln normal, i compleated that DLC at around that point. If i were you, i'd fry it now and then retry it in a few chapters when you have more charachters if that does not work. I should probably remind you, that you only get the real reward if chrom, lisa, and fredrick finish the battle alive, and you can only earn said reward once.

Iirc that DLC map's difficulty is scaled depending on your level. I recall doing it for first time with my units at chapter 9 or so and they had a level. After I progressed and leveled and did the same dlc map the enemies were leveled up and all. Dunno if this applies to all dlc maps but do it now.

It's scaled based on the chapter you're at when you attempt the map.
