Oh my, the vices... I still collect Pokemon cards, but only the old ones. I classify old as Neo Destiny and before. I have to get them online though, since there are few places save for collectors' stores--which scare the shit out of me-- that carry them. It's an expensive hobby, but my unhealthy devotion to collecting them impares my judgment substantially.

Every time I go to Wal Mart, I buy a Transformer. Nothing from that new animated series, though, since those are, uh, gross. Sometimes I'll peruse Ebay for oldies from the days of Beast Wars.

I pretty much only read Star Wars books, if I ever read.

Is this Nostalgia Monday or someting? I haven't read a Star Wars book in years, but when I stopped I had finished virtually everything that takes place after the movies, and a few other novels too. Damn...

Did you like the X-Wing Series? Thrawn trilogy? New Jedi Order?

I own, but haven't read, the X-Wing series, but I know the books are tremendously popular, so I probably should, eh? I've only read the Thrawn trilogy through once, but that was roughly a year ago, and I was thrilled with them. I'd love to read them again. The New Jedi Order? Was that the post-Thrawn trilogy series with Admiral Daala and the Sun Crusher? I read those, but Anderson is, if you don't mind me saying, a shit writer.

My favorite book from the Expanded Universe has to be Shadows of the Empire. It has numerous shortcomings, but I first read it when I was like, five, so it bears a certain nostalgia that I can't ignore. Plus, Xizor is amazing.

I don't remember Shadows of the Empire. :[

NJO was like a 20-book series about a huge, galaxy-wide, years-long war. I think it's the only series on that scale, unless there's something in all of those books after.

Oh, wait! You mean the Yuuzhon Vong War or whatever it (and subsequently, the race) was called? I've heard of those, but I haven't read a book from that series yet. I know a lot of fans aren't happy about the Borg-like nature of the Yuuzhon Vong, and I personally don't like how Star Wars books stopped being published by Bantam Spectra by the time Vector Prime came out. Seriously, I miss those awesome covers.

lmao I was so gonna do that

Well, I like playing Yu-GI-Oh still XD I don't own any cards

I still have a deck (I think) but it probably only has 38 cards on it since my bro took 2 and I haven't looked at the ban list for quite some time so I may have some banned cards in it. I wish they hadn't banned Chaos Sorcerer and the 2 Envoys (Black Luster Soldier and Chaos Emperor Dragon) =\

I'm a very big casual Magic the Gathering player. I won't deny it, but even among the thugs who play Yu-Gi-Oh, it's looked down on.

I'm not really into competitive, though I was slightly for a while (I don't think my Type One deck is considered Type One anymore, as that was two series ago..) The friends I've played with are either busy with college or had quit and the only time I really do play with someone is my cousin, who likes to collect as much as I do. Though we don't give a shit about Type One/Type Two and play vintage all day.

Yeah. If you decide to read them, Vector Prime is important, but otherwise the early ones aren't all that great, until maybe the Edge of Victory books. I thought pretty much everything from Enemy Lines onward was great. I don't honestly remember all that much, though.
