Listing how your forced units were doing is informative too. First playthrough: Micaiah (Thani) : 20/20/1, but teh suck Sanaki (Cymbeline) : Never fielded Sothe (whatever) : Never fielded Kurthnaga : Fielded, but never really used Ena: died, lolz Jill (Gentlemonglr) : Best all-around unit. I left Urvan with Nolan and didn't bring him along, lols Haar (Hax Axe) : Died in 4-F-4 (shitty resistance?) Pretty useful otherwise. Elincia (Amiti) : Wonderful healer Nephenee (Wishblade) : Best unit of them all. srsly Mia (Vague Katti) : Came in 1st. Skills always one-rounded opponents. Shinon (Double bow) : Godly archer, as to be expected. Volke (Peshkatz (sp?)) : Somewhat useful, but pretty much filler. (units like Soren had died before) Tibarn, Caineghis and Nailah Leanne (the others had been incapacitated) Second playthrough: Micaiah (Purge) : Never bothered leveling, but more useful than last time around. Sanaki (Meteor) : Same as Micaiah. Sothe : Same as before. Kurthnaga : Leveled him up, more useful than last time Ena: Killed off in 4-F-1, haha Haar (Urvan) : Died in 4-F-4...AGAIN. Jill proved more useful, actually. Soren (Rexcalibur) : Actually not very useful. Killed him off in 4-F-5 to prove Ike doesn't care. Pelleas (Balberith) : Useful in anything but 4-F-5 as he could never hit Ashera. Oliver (Rexaura) : Brought him along for the SS rank tome. His magic got screwed. Rhys (Matrona) : I thought staves could be blessed. Couldn't use Rexaura and I didn't stock up on arms scrolls. Shinon (Double bow) : Same as before. Yay Shinon. Nephenee and Mia : Same as before. Except Mia was underleveled. Caineghis and Tibarn (couldn't imagine doing this without them) Rafiel (the others had been incapacitated) Also, has anyone else gotten Tibarn on their MVP list by letting him punch people in the face during 4-2 and 4-5? She was fairly useful. Kurthnaga: He was fairly decent but I did not manage to level him up to level 40. Haar (Urvan): Awesome unit! Volko (baselard): Another good unit Elincia (Amiti): Very good healer, always there when I needed her. Ilyana (Rexbolt) : she capped everything 0_0 Awesome unit! Edward (Vague Katti): Another useful unit. Leonardo (Double bow): first time I managed to level him up properly. He was just as good as Shinon. Laura (Nosferatu): She was alright...good healer :) Naesala: One of my best units. Crap units Sothe: never fielded...I bored of leveling him up. Sanaki (Cymbelin): one of the worst units I had in the entire game. Her speed sucks >_> Ena: I never used her once. Great! Great! Great! Tibarn: He's good. Shadowknight Posted October 26, 2008 Share Posted October 26, 2008 Lets see, here's my regulars: Micaiaih - used her in all playthroughs since she maxes stats so well, and nukes generals with Thani. she'll lvl up FAST if you leave her with a bunch of mages/priests since she does tiny damage but gets loads of exp. Edward- had a bias against him *cough*, but for the first playthrough: he's good, but not epic win. a pain to train. Zihark- used him on all playthroughs, and he's the best. <3 He's capped ALL STATS MANY TIMES. Oscar was the only other one to do that, and he had Blossom. >.> Volug: only used him this once, and he's epic win. It's true that he's as good as Naliah, and the support with another earth-person just makes him that much more win. SO going to use him more. He's even win with wildheart in the later chapters! <3 Him and Zihark absolutely owned the river-crossing map. Jilll- meh, low str is bad. Ditched her after 2 playthroughs. Sothe- much like Jill; I didn't use him at all this playthrough. Naliah- epic epic win; my favorite laguz other than Tibarn. Nolan - I don't get why everyone likes him; he's okay, but has some major issues with Str and speed. (I value speed very highly.) Don't use him that often. Marcia - Just tried her, and she's actually really good. Has better defence than I thought (just keep her away from crossbows, those are LETHAL to her.) Haar- Probably one of the top 3 beorc charries; he's really awesome for mowing down anything and everything. I always use him since most of the Pt 2 people fail. Ike - duh, he's win. end of. (Though his res is TERRIBLE.) >.> Three mages will kill him. Boyd- hm, he's pretty good. Shinon - I've always used him, very reliable. Silencer is love. Oscar - just used him; he's actually pretty good. Not epic like Titania, but really good. Titania - she's kinda fragile before you promote her, but afterwards; AWESOME. Soren - Meh. Good mage, but not good fighter. Tibarn- He's always in, since he can consistantly put some major hurt on Ashera. And Dheg. Ena - never used her Kurthanuga - he's awesome when you train him, but that's after I make sure all of my others are 20/20/20. Pelleas - oddly enough, he's really good. Comes a bit late though. CGV Posted October 26, 2008 Share Posted October 26, 2008 (edited) Micaiah-forced, so I use her Sothe-forced to endgame so I use him, plus I just like Sothe Sanaki-forced to endgame, so I use her Ike-duh Edward-SM fan and he's pretty good Jill-Flier with axes an and she's hot Ilyana-The sole user of Rexbolt and most playtime Soren-I like Soren, plus I'd rather use him than Bastian Pelleas-Dark magic kicks ass Mia-Mia is awesome and hot Zihark-He kicks major ass and helps the DB Haar-This guy is one step short of a god Nephenee-This girl is one step short of a goddess Aran-Major tank for the DB Astrid-Bow on a horse and comes with Paragon Marcia-Another great flier Rolf-Amazing strength growth Shinon-Comes at a good level with decent stats honorable mention: Boyd-Strong and lots of health = very good Leonardo-Not too big a fan of his bad speed growth, but still good Kieran-Pretty good axe wielder Elincia-Flying healer with an unlimited weapon... not bad Mist-She gets a pony upon promotion! Micaiah (Rexaura) - Pretty good, if I do say so myself. Her best's role is as a healer though. Her stats all capped and she wasn't even at level 20/20/20. More like 20/20/18. Sothe (Silver Knife) - Just mainly used him for stealing. Not for fighting. Sanaki (Rexflame) - She could use some help using heavy tomes, but she has what it takes. Ena - Pretty average. But if you're lucky, she could do as much damage as Ike can. Kurth - If raised properly, he can become an asset. He has a little trouble in skill though. Ike (Ragnell) - He owns. Period. And as far as I can remember, he isn't limited to using Ragnell after Part IV Endgame - part III. (Last time I checked, he was able to equip Alondite and Urvan as well. But Alondite and Urvan are better left in someone else's hands since he has Ragnell.) Eddie (Alondite) - Maxed everything. He was pretty good. Mia (Vague Katti) - See Eddie, with the only difference being "she" instead of "he". Nolan (Urvan) - Maxed everything except for health. Simply put, a grade A powerhouse. Jill (Forged Silver Axe) - Maxed everything except for two stats. Soren (Rexcalibur) - Maxed everything except for defense. He was very helpful. Especially as a secondary healer. Tibarn - No explanation necessary. Caineghis - No explanation necessary. Shinon (Double Bow) - Again, no explanation necessary. Gatrie (Wishblade) - Excellent, especially for a Marshal. Volke - Very good unit. Sephiran - If the requirements to recruit him are fulfilled, he's one of your biggest contenders. Last time around, I gave him the Rexaura tome (which Micaiah had, the very same one that was blessed), and gave Micaiah the Ashera Staff. Too bad he's only around in the final leg of the endgame. Micaiah (Thani) - Forced in, so I stuck her on Stave duty :D A support with Sothe was quite handy Sothe (Peshkatz) - Forced in, Used as Micaiah's bodyguard. Sanaki (Bolganone) - Her speed is horrible, but she softens them up, at leat. Kurthnaga - Completely spammed on Endgame 3, level 40 FTW! Ena - I used her as little as I possibly could. She's horrible. Ike (Ragnell) - Obliterated the BK before I could get Wishblade >( Tibarn - He makes it too easy, but still... Volke - Stilletto = Win. Naesala - The weakest starter of the Laguz Royals, but still awesome. (HOW DOES HE HAVE TEAR ON LEVEL 28!?) Nephenee (Silver Greatlance) - Nothing could hurt her. Seriously. Elincia (Amiti) - Owned everything except Generals. Rhys - Got killed in Endgame 5 >( Stefan (Vague Katti) - Mia was RNG screwed and Eddie was still a Swordmaster :( Rolf (Double Bow) - Better than Shinon in every respect. And breaking the laws of the game is awesome. On topic, I try to take Pelleas whenever possible, but he always tends to be innacurate, so I'm leaning away from him at the moment...
