Anyone tried a No Ike run?

The solo Ike run is actually one of the easiest ways to beat the game. But has anyone tried a run where you try to avoid using Ike as much as possible? That's probably hard.

With the exception of Seizing spots and possibly talking to units to recruit them, Ike cannot do anything. He cannot get any kills except in the Prologue, where he is forced to be used.

Some issues that would add to the difficulty:

-No uber Ike to help in battle, and he has to be guarded a lot, or possibly stay rescued for most of a battle. This ceases to be an issue once you get Savior, of course.

-No Nasir, since there's no way Ike could defeat the Black Knight without many of his stats capped.

-No using Ragnell to attack the final boss, leaving only Ena and the uber laguz to fight him. On Hard, you HAVE to make Ena good or there's no way you will win the final battle, since the uber laguz don't show until after Ashnard goes bonkers.

Anyone up for this nightmarish challenge?

Both difficulties. I've done "no lord" runs on most games. Besides it's actually worse on you if you end up training Ike a lot on the first few chapters, he ends up so RNG screwed that he's not worth using and every1 else would have less EXP then than on a "no ike run".

I wouldn't bother with Wrath since that requires you to hold on the the Wrath scroll for several chapter that you could be making use of it instead. But Resolve, yeah.

Nihil isn't needed. Ashnard has no skills that you need to worry about.

This would just make the game a lot more complicated. Because you need to use Ike every mission, you must use him for the Black Knight fight too. Another thing is who wouldn't want to use the Ragnell.

You don't NEED him for the BK; Nasir is overrated. And while Ragnell is very useful, there's plenty other weapons (forged silvers, anyone?) that can do the job just as easily. Other than the Ashnaard fight, it'll probably be pretty easy.

I'm actually doing a Ike/Zihark runthrough right now. :3 They're amazing.

Seriously, how can it possibly be tough? Instead of, for example, 11 great characters + Ike you use 12 great characters. I don't see how not using Ike makes the game significantly harder. Perhaps 17-3 and 17-4 are slightly harder because Ike dies easily, but that's really everything.
