Raccoon844
I'm nearly at the halfway point of conquest (i'm at the cheve chapter) and i'm actually wondering who to use my great lord seal (either camilla or azura, leaning more towards azura since she needs some stats) and that actually got me thinking: What classes did you guys go for when reclassing characters? (Avatars, units, etc)
FranRedStar
for Conquest, i always have Odin as the Lodestar and Nyx as a Witch.
Shadow Mir
As for the Exalt's Brand, I'd say neither - and honestly, I fail to see the appeal of making Azura one, what with her being made of glass. SavageVolug
For avatars it depends, but usually it is one of the following: Hero, Berserker, Wyvern lord/Malig Knight, Vanguard or Paladin. For most other units honestly I prefer to keep them in their intended class (eg Silas as a Paladin/ or Great Knight), so while I may second seal Silas into Vanguard or Ninja I always put him back into cavalier as that is what he's supposed to be. I will say that Silas makes a very tanky Ninja and at the same time does not seem to have bad speed or resistance for a ninja either. Some DLC classes may be an exception such as Witch, Nyx is probably better as a Witch than a Sorceress however I have not tested this enough to say for sure. Ebony
Seriously depends on what I have and what route. Often times it's something like this: Dread Fighters: Kaze, Corrin, Rinkah, Mitama Dark Flier: Forrest, Shiro, Leo-honestly anyone who can use a spear and/or magic is fitting for this... Grandmaster: Leo, Hayato, Kana Lodestar: Laslow, Hisame, Hinata Great Lord: Oboro, Hinoka, Mozu, Mitama, Selena Vanguard: Ryoma, I think I made Percy one once... that was fun Ballistician: Just about anyone tbh? Takumi, Azama, maybe Kiragi? Witch: Nyx, Ophelia, Anna, Rhajat, Sakura, Elise
Megan
I used bow Knight on myself and everyone said it was really meh so I used the great lord seal. I like the great lord it's pretty fun. I made azura a witch to get warp. I gave laslow lodestar. Kaze and Azama are dread fighters. Leo is my dark flier. SavageVolug
I actually really like bow knight, it may not have the best skills in the game but I enjoy it a lot. It's an archer on horseback, who can switch to a sword when necessary they have great movement etc. I enjoy using them, I didn't like their design in awakening but the Fate's design has improved tremendously. Stat wise snipers may have better str or def I have not been able to compare the various bow promotions, however I tend to value the higher movement over a few points more of str or def. Besides I have not seen Niles or Shura lacking in str when I chose bow knight.

Sure it doesn't have amazing skills but that always be fixed with finding better ones for it.- Edited May 12, 2017 by Megan
SavageVolug
Exactly while I do go on a skills hunt for my units I focus more on what classes I enjoy using more vs X class has the better skills. For example swordmaster is probably the better promotion because of Astra, but I feel weapon master gives me more flexibility with what I can do with that unit. I also really like the berserker class and always have, and man can they clean up house! Pick classes that you enjoy using and will have fun with is how I look at it. People say general is better than great knight and they may be right but I've always like great knights better. Hey everything's better whey it rides on a horse! MeddlingMage
Its usually either Hero, Sorcerer, Diviner, or Swordmaster for me. Depending on who I marry.
Shoblongoo
varies somewhat playthrough-to-playthrough, but some things I pretty consistently do for optimal play-strats: -reclass mozu to dreadfighter -reclass Odin to dark flier on conquest; reclass orochi to dark flier on birthright -promote Arthur to Berserker and get [rally strength] before grabbing his S-Support, pass rally strength to Percy, then promote Percy to Wyvern Lord and grab Rally Defense. ...because +4/+4 to strength and defense on a rally from an 8-movement unit with flying is silliness. Shadow Mir
It varies from run to run, largely, but Corrin always ends up in the respective Noble class. That being said, Berserkers won't be on any of my teams, EVER. Edited May 18, 2017 by Levant Mir Celestia
Ertrick36
Of course it depends, but here are the following classes I remember making various characters: - Great Lord: Mozu, Oboro, Oboro!Caeldori (I wanted a bootleg Lucina) - Ballistacian: Avatar (fellow I named Jake shout out to those who get where I was going with this), Tacomeme, his son - Witch: Elise, Cowmill, Papa Orochi, Sakura from Naruto, Oboro (not great as one, but couldn't resist this aesthetic on her; plus, it was before I knew about getting warp as an item), Azura - Vanguard: Avatar and hopefully Oboro!Shiro someday for that bootleg Ike aesthetic - Grandmaster: Leonardo Di Caprio, Avatar the Last Airbender - Dread Fighter: Krazy Kaze, Mo-zoom, Wild and Crazy Oboro, Flora, Xander Root - Dark Flier: Lost Forrest, Hinoka Matata, Sakura Spirit, probably Selena Gomez - Lodestar: Odin Dark Knows No Fear (so that he could taste true royal power), Leon Scot Kennedy (blonde Marth literally became blonde Marth), Avatar - Off-brand classes: Ryoma and Xander crossed classes (also, Ryoma was a Great Knight at some point), Sakura and Elise crossed classes, Hinoka crossed to Wyvern Lord at some point, Oboro and Hayato have both been Oni Savages (I know Hayato has it as a Heart Seal class, but it's such a weird transformation that I think it counts), Oboro has also taken on Great Knight and Master of Arms, Forrest was a Great Master for a time, Flora I made into a hero a few times, and Avatar has taken on plenty of classes where they aren't using swords or dragonstones... 2 hours ago, Levant Mir Celestia said: That being said, Berserkers won't be on any of my teams, EVER. My next run of Revelation, I'm gonna have Oboro marry avatar and become a Fighter > Berserker. And I'm probably gonna use Charlotte in the same class. Gonna get a team of lady Berserkers going. But Arthur will be a Hero because honestly, could you see him being anything else?
Mackc2
My avatar either stays in his default class or is switched to any of the bow-weilding class
Interdimensional Observer
I've never really experimented with taking Corrin out of NP, particularly since I want Draconic Hex on CQ and I like the Dragonstone+. I should try it though on non CQ routes at least, because Hoshido Noble is bleh. Mono-attack stat units with mixed/contrary offense options like Beruka, Elise, Oboro, Orochi, and Nyx skip on the hybrid class unless I want their skills later. Falcoknights don't count for hybrid offense by the way- and it's the class which Subaki and Hinoka always go to. Odin is better trying to Nostank (Sorc) than have underwhelming hybridity (DK) too. Hana and Hinata always go SM, as MoA's extra weapon ranks both start at E and are thus useless. Selena and Laslow I prefer Hero for, but honestly they can't get Axe rank that much faster than they can Bow rank, and since they're really sword-locked either way, Bow Knight should be just as viable. Niles I like sending Bow Knight, but honestly he's one of the few cases where you really do have a choice. Silas and Peri also have a real choice, as does Effie (Benny has to wait until Wary Fighter to try GK). Ninjas always go Master Ninja instead of Mechanist, but I could see Kaze and Kagero going differently- but Saizo is too slow for not-MN. If I'm to use a DLC class, I wait until the unit reaches 20 unpromoted first, so they won't be too powerful the moment they class change. Experiment 626
I pretty much just ignore the DLC/specialist classes outside of the actual skill items for all the 'main' characters. However, I *love* using Niles/Orochi's special Capture ability, and thus, I'll use those re-classing items on my generic prisoners/named bosses to build some truly unique secondary characters! Currently on my Conquest!hard play through, I've got on the go; - Haitaka the Spearfighter boss of Ch9 w/rend heaven, heavy blade, vet intuition, strong repost, rally defense - Ariyoshi the Swordmaster, caught as a Samurai in Ch14 iirc, w/*Pass, astra, vet intuition, vantage, heavy blade - Kazunari the Basara, caught as a Diviner in Ch11 iirc, w/*Miracle, aether, vet intuition, tomefaire, heavy blade I also captured Kumagera on Ch14, but I'll likely just keep to skills from his class tree & the beginning ones he has like Certain Blow + Counter-Magic. I'm also just starting to work on grinding up a captured Sorcerer (Konrad) & Adventurer (Virgil) from the Shura chapter. Konrad came w/Inspiration, while Virgil w/Seal Strength. I'll probably try to give the Grandmaster class to the Sorc, while I'm up in the air with how I'll train the Adventurer. I'm also aiming for some later generics, such as a Pass/Bowbreaker Falcos & Kinshi's from Hinoka's chapter, and there's some fine looking Generals/'Zerkers from the Iago/Hans chapter I'd like to imprison!
