Ariel had gotten herself a position as a guard in a quiet town, which allowed her to fulfil her obligation to serve in the military from her parents but not have to fight actively. This is ruined by a bar fight that spills out onto the streets and becomes a riot that the heroes get caught up in and decide to stop. She ends up joining them after being fired for failing to prevent the riot she couldn't have stopped and forces herself to join the heroes for a place in a military force. She proceeds to be annoyed at everyone and only do the minimum to stay in. Later on she has the chance to meet up with her father, who congratulates her on her position and gives her a set of fine javelins for her to use, a gift which she actually takes pretty thankfully.

A big towering boss man who intimidates everyone with his mere presence, booming voice, and viscous commentary. This amuses him greatly, as he is actually a big goofball who laughs at how scared people are of him. He gets drunk way too often, and his wyvern is his designated driver.

Grew up in a poor family and his parents were thieves who stole to survive. Once they stole a wyvern egg from a breeder who bred wyverns for the air force, and it hatched into his faithful companion and mount. He rose to his position by strength and intimidation.

If you post a name, post two characters that have already been posted.

If you post a class, look at the two named characters in the previous post, and then create a reason why they could be related.

If you post a personality, take a look at the two character's relationship and then write a basic idea of how a C-B-A support would go, roughly.

If you post a background, write a paired ending for the two characters.

Hey why didn't we do this. This was a neat idea. OP should update OP.

I mean, I know I didn't do it but I didn't want to toss out someone's name submission or anything.

She is a powerful creature from a time long lost. Although she looks to be in her late teens, she constantly speaks of events from thousands of years in the past. She lives in constant fear of history repeating itself, and tries to stay out of conflict, until she is recruited and decides that your army is a lesser of two evils. Although she does fight alongside you, she isn't exactly happy about it. In the endgame, she is found to be deeply tied to the events of the final villain, as she was involved in the sealing away of the big bad several centuries ago.

Long ago, there was a great war between various tribes of dragons. A Mage Dragon used terrible and primordial powers to become a terrible Dark Dragon, and lead the Mage Dragon tribe against the other tribes. Being so terribly powerful as to seem impossible to slay, the Dark Dragon achieved unfortunate success, and slew most of Nyra's tribe. This quickly thrust her into the position of her tribe's chieftain, and while not a full blooded royal, she was able to seal away the Dark Dragon. This was a temporary solution, to be kept in place until weapons strong enough to permanently end the Dark Dragon's threat could be developed. Unfortunately, once these weapons had been developed, they were used to exact bloody revenge against the Mage Dragon tribes and those who had sided with them. A horrified Nyra then joined with a human king to steal these weapons and hide them away / render them unusable, but the king then attempted to have everyone who knew the locations of these weapons killed. Nyra, disgusted with all sides, hid herself away and hoped that never would a battle of such scale come about to reveal the worst in everyone.

Her grandfather is the main villain. Thankfully, he tutor showed her the way of not being a total jerk, and instead being a regular jerk who stands up to one's evil grandfather for the sake of peace, happiness and justice. Was her instructor not so principled and intelligent and respectable and all that, she might have followed the path of evil. Possesses incredible magic potential due to her bloodline, but it was locked away for safety purposes and the barriers must be removed before she can achieve her maximum potential.

I went and counted the classes so far suggested, if anyone cares. Actual class balance doesn't matter here because there's no game, but I wrote it out anyway.

Spoiler

4 Archers with at least as many promotion options between them.

3 Shamans

3 Mages, one of whom can become a Druid

2 Pegasus Knights with 1 pre-promoted Falcon Knight

2 potential Berserkers, a Pirate and a Brigand

2 Soldiers

2 Wyvern Riders

2 Mercenaries

1 Fighter

1 Hero

1 Troubadour

1 Valkyrie

1 Knight

1 Cavalier

1 Priest

1 Monk

1 Bard

1 Dancer #BringOnTheBardTrain

1 Ninja, 1 Thief, and 1 Pre-promoted Assassin

It is unsurprising to see that everyone's favorite classes are Shaman and Archer.

Having made the above chart, I now render it obsolete.

The leader of a bandit group, she spends most of her time terrorising villages and is an early game boss. She allies with the main group due to both your army and her being threatened by an encroaching empire. She then never leaves, due to the army's pay being sufficient for her.

A veteran mage who takes up the spellbook again after events in his nearby village lead to him striking out at enemy soldiers. Tends to stand back from people or situations except when he sees potential... what that is tends to vary. He is often a good acquaintance to everyone he meets but doesn't really bond with others as seen by his small lonesome home and his tendency to blow others off when they try to get closer to him.

Once a suave and licentious student with a thing for older women, Jason's life change drastically when his mistress was legally murdered for infidelity. He fled town and the wrath of Othello, dropping his formal education and becoming a mercenary mage. Later, he settled down in a far away village. While his charms remain in tact, his traumatic loss has left him with his current hesitance to become close with others.

A hedge knight who swears himself to the lords's bastard son, he's often the first person to charge into the situation whether it's combat or a heated discussion. Despite this he's willing to talk people down from combat and calm a situation, a trait which caused him to be fired by his liege. Is also easily convinced on noble ideals, which is how a bastard with little to his name got a hedge knight to follow him.

The son of an accomplished and noble knight. He was too eager to live up to his father's legacy to actually put in the work to reach that point. Still, he inherited his father's liege as his own. Now, this liege wanted something which some peasant had, but that peasant being alive made getting that thing kind of hard. So, he dug up some tax evasion the peasant had committed, and sent a detachment of knights to kill him as an example and also so he could have that thing which he wanted. Duncan ended up resolving the situation diplomatically and got the guy to just pay his taxes, and so his liege did not get the thing, and he fired Duncan for it.
