    The mountains are pretty bland, not a lot of variation in the peaks and there's a very obvious transition between darker and lighter mountains. The area around the lowest cave looks really weird because the mountain would be sloping upwards way more there than else where in the range.

  3. You need to make his jaw less of a circle, it's more than just making the face thinner. His jaw is very round right now, it should follow more of a linear path. His eyes and some of his other features can be moved up a lil bit to make more room for proper anglings. Right now his chin is super wide as well.
  4. The face is very round and the head is not entirely centered on the neck. The eyes are pretty wide too.

    These are pretty rough, but not a bad start. Greil's head is pretty misshapen, I don't think the elements of his face really line up correctly and Jeigan is putting his head pretty far forward. Shading and colors are less than stellar across the board. Keep practicing, I think I would tone back the custom parts.

    I'm not sure if thats supposed to be a sword, a pole arm, or just a stick. The animation is smooth, but the standing frame is pretty boring, whatever the weapon it seems way too big to just be standing there holding it with one hand like that.
  8. You need some better colors, its all very blobby at first look. Try some official palettes. His sword looks kinda like a bent pipe more than a sword and he is very flat towards the camera. If you want to be like the swordmaster, you should move the right (OPV) side of his body up a pixel. Think about your shading, I'm not really sure where the light is coming from looking at this. I would grab the hero sprite and others and maybe try and do a bit of splicing or draw over a base for practice.

  11. Nice work! The armor looks good. I might move the armor shoulder out a pixel or two more, its a pretty bulky piece of armor that seems like it might add a little more to his shoulders. One other small thing is his bare arm almost looks like its cutting into his cape, I think it just needs a bit more shading.

  15. I said her right. Point of view gets confusing because everything is mirrored so her right is our left. It's easily confusable. I consider forehead to include the bangs. Make her bangs taller sounds confusing? I don't really know how else you would say it. Make the top half of her head taller? Well whatever, the point is she needs more stuff above her eyes and most of it should be hair. There is actually a 4 pixel difference in the size of their heads, the tops of Lalita's eyes are 3 pixels below the tops on Nino's. I don't know how you check proportions, I usually check chin-to-nose, chin-to-eyes, and chin-top which keeps proportions pretty sound. It helps to have multiple reference mugs to, since proportions can vary slightly. Head size isn't too hard to fix, I'd move her nose and eyes up a pixel, her mouth to OUR left a pixel, the top of her head up at least 2 pixels, and maybe make her face 1 pixel wider. I'll leave that to your discretion. I can understand that, I'll try to be more clear.
  16. You changed the wrong shoulder lol. More forehead is like the top half of her head needs to be overall taller, it looks like you just added 1 pixel of skin color? Her hairline is a little high. You need to like move the top of her hair up a bit and fill in the space with hair. Depending on her age her whole head is a bit small. Lolita is a name made infamous by the book of the same name.
  17. That red background is harsh on the eyes e.e The hair doesn't look full enough, especially towards the front of the head. I don't know a lot about maps but they look pretty good!
  18. Like Lolita? I think she could use a bit more forehead, and she has a weird white line in the middle of her neck. Her right shoulder is a bit square, I would curve it just a little bit more. I feel like the shoulders should have their shading switched, make the left one darker and the right one lighter. I like her bow, it's nice. Ike's eyes look a bit better, but I still think the top should be outline or the gray skin color dark.

  20. The hair on Zero is better, still rough in places, but better. On closer inspection, it is definitely his face that is too low on his head. You need to move his eyes up a good 2 or 3 pixels and maybe the nose up a bit too. Henry's hair looks pretty good, his face and hand are definitely off though. How close did you ref the original mug?
  21. Ike's eyes are a little better. They're too faint on his face, like their edges aren't defined enough. If he supposed to be older, I might add some shading directly under his eyes in some of the darker skin tones. The far edge of his face might need to be moved in one pixel as well. I think his body has a little bit too much shoulder and not enough chest, his chest isn't very broad here. I think it could be fixed by moving the far side of the jacket out a bit and making the inward slope less pronounced. His hair and headband look pretty good, though the contrast of colors could be a little higher. Interesting goatee look for Ike, not a lot of facial hair in FE. For Elincia's hair, first things first I think it could use a little more contrast in the shades. Kinda hard to see the detail right now. The problem I have with the hair is I guess the waviness. Like yeah, Elincia has wavy hair but some of the curves you used don't seem right, like they're curving one way and then just start a new curve as opposed to transitioning slowly. I think her face should be moved 1 pixel to the right on her head. The collarbones and necklace are nice. The rest of the body is just generally lacking in shading, but not terrible. I've always thought Kael looked pretty sound and he still does. I feel like he might need a little bit more shoulder, especially on the far side, but he's still good.
  22. You claimed he started with small eyes, eyes weren't that small. None of the mugs you listed have eyes even close to those on your Ike. Like go take another look and compare them. Nothing alike.
  23. I would like you to find this mug you used for reference that doesn't use outline or dark skin tone for around the eyes and has 1 pixel of iris/pupil. His eyes aren't even that small in RD.
  24. His eyes can be small, but that's not how you make small eyes. He looks like he's stoned or something. Take a look at Perceval or the other older characters to learn how to do smaller eyes. Elincia's body and hair are both shaded extremely simply, her hair is kinda chunky and the hair outlines look especially bad.
