I just go with Assassin since I don't wanna marry Chrom. Great Lord isn't that fantastic as a class, it's just there for people to be canon.

Vantage. I find PavGis to be useless because you'd have to get hit for it to be useful and when you don't, it's a waste of two skill slots.

It's kinda like how most games before, people valued stats over everything. In FE7, Marcus was considered the worst unit for many years for his poor growths and inability to cap his stats. Now in the present, people now claim he's the best unit in the game for the sole fact that someone looked at the enemy stats and realized how easy Marcus has it for a big portion of the game. Awakening kinda stretches the cap modifiers a bit too much. It's not really proven how "+1 or 2 Spd" actually makes too much of a difference in the long run once people start capping out. And because little was known about Apotheosis, people had the habit to having as high stats as possible, until the fact came that Apotheosis enemies are pretty easy to kill with Dual Brave weapons and Luna. In all, I guess the only thing I really care about in pairing units now would be to have little class overlap, because otherwise it'll bug me.

Laurent does get overlooked by everyone, but Noire? She's a girl in a fan-service like game, so it's hard to ignore her.

Oh, boy. I've got a ton of unpopular pairings I like. Chrom x Olivia- It feels like an actual pairing that can happen and Chrom really tries to get involved with her. Frederick x Miriel- I'm sad this isn't mentioned at all. Miriel being so jealous at the end made it so likable. Frederick x Nowi- Both are fairly mature and love to help one another. Sully x Donnel- Their bonding was pretty spot-on and Sully was treating Donnel as her equal without too much trouble. Maribelle x Stahl- Very touching that Stahl devotes his whole life to her dream. Vaike x Cordelia- Honestly, one of the few supports I actually like with Cordelia. Plus, Vaike tries his hardest to win her over. Virion x Tharja- Both show a very good side of one another. Shows a bit of Tharja's touching side as well. Lucina x Laurent- Lucina x Gerome done right. That's pretty much the only reason. Owain x Kjelle- Owain actually felt like he was in love and just didn't have a tacked on S support. Laurent x Morgan- Morgan tries her hardest for him and it's very good romance-wise.

I think most people only voted for Chrom x Olivia purely because for the fact that it made good children out of Lucina and Inigo, which is true. Shame since I actually like Chrom x Olivia the most out of his potential lover supports.

I honestly like Inigo a lot more. Owain really only got all the attention because of his random yelling of game titles and everyone always bashed on Inigo for being too flirty. From gameplay, it really depends since both of them are bad, but at least Owain is salvageable in no-grind. Postgame, Inigo easily wins out for his good default class set.

That's actually underrated in terms of fanbase(I still haven't found one person that loves this pairing). For me, it's... Chrom x Avatar- Everyone does it and defends this to death. It's everything wrong in a relationship. Frederick x Lissa- I don't think many people ship it, but I just can't see them together. Sully x Stahl- Too obvious and bland. Sumia x Frederick- Can't see them together and Frederick deserves more professional women in a marriage to be honest. Maribelle x Ricken- Very cliche and predictable. Cordelia x Lon'qu- Wow, they do menial tasks for one another and suddenly they're in love. Cordelia x Stahl- Wow, they play harps together and suddenly they're in love. Gaius x Nowi- Purely from gameplay stance, although the support isn't that good either. Nowi x Donnel- Really only done since both are youth-like. Support-wise... it could be better. Henry x Tharja- Purely a comedy support. To actually ship it is crazy. Olivia x Lon'qu- Disappointment support-wise. All that's riding on this is that they work for the same guy. Lucina x Gerome- Terribly dull and shallow. Pretty much any of their other lover supports are infinitely better. Owain x Noire- Wow, just replace "pie" with "cake" and suddenly it's a lot better! Noire x Laurent- Nobody liked it until S rank, and then that's purely for comedy. Love is another thing. Noire x Inigo- Another comedy support, not actual romance support. The yandere bit was pushing it too far.

Donnel is the way to go. +1 mods don't make too much of a difference when you can kill anyone regardless with forged Brave weapons.

Lon'qu x Olivia is one of those pairings you think would be good, but it's just about cutting a jug. It's pretty wasted potential and Inigo gets nothing useful from his father. It's really disappointing people would think this is canon because "We serve the same guy, so we must be a couple!" I really don't like these type of pairings.

Chrom is really the most optimal choice. It also helps when I like Chrom x Olivia and Inigo being the Exalt's son.

Many people have been over-hyping Donnel as a whole, both new players and old-timers alike. I think he's a bigger noob trap than Frederick, even though he's suppose to be the traditional noob trap.

I'm pretty close to wrapping up Future Past conversations, but is someone willing to contribute Lon'qu > Kjelle and Ricken > Yarne?

Lucina getting Galeforce is completely unrealistic with anyone, even Sumia.

Why have a pretty good, but not 100% chance to live when I can avoid the chance of dying altogether? Miracle is one of those skills I just slap on if there's room. Generally, I find it unreliable, even if it's a high percent because the risk of dying is too great compared to the risk of not ORKOing. I've used Chrom!Inigo before. He wasn't that fun to use, but he was alright.

Olivia's better when factoring in postgame and parentage of Lucina. Sumia's only better when it's a no-grind run for obvious reasons. Pavise+Aegis are some of the most overrated skill sets in this game and it wastes giving Luna to another child.

Low movement, low speed, limited output. Pavise is not very reliable as you can't depend on it to live all the time. The only potential Generals that can realistically be used are Kellam and Kjelle, both who prefer to be a Great Knight and reclassed Frederick and Sumia, both who have more mobile and better classes to be built up in. Anyone else has E Lances, which is terrible. High durability is actually nulled because Generals normally get doubled a lot unless you play on Normal mode.

Generals really are the weaker classes in all of Fire Emblem. They have some niche usage(Oswin, FE10 Gatrie, reclassed Catria or Luke), but using them full-time is pretty bad.

I agree with this immensely. PPP is one of the many overrated lines in this game.

Well, I just watched Free!(needed to balance all the girly stuff coming out) and honestly, it isn't as gay as people make it out to be.

Women get in because fan pandering. A lot of other previous characters didn't get in, so it's hardly worth whining about.
