So how unnecessarily overkill would it be if Linde was +Speed, had Darting Blow, and could have Dire Thunder? Sadly she can't, but watching the carnage that would follow would be amazing to watch.

I'll just quickly get my two cents out of the way and may or may not disappear for a while. Haven't been on this forum in years haha. Anyways, this may or may not have been said before, but as there's a lot of pages and reading...I'll apologize in advance if it's redundant. So there's already a crossover game that features the Shadow Dragon and Awakening casts, minus Fates. I can understand the frustration that they're limiting the characters in this one to the same two games plus Fates this time. Thinking it over, yeah I'm a bit disappointed about that too, as I was looking forward to destroying swarms of enemies with light magic as Lucius which I'll still find ironic no matter how long light magic has been a thing xD or seeing what shenanigans we could pull off as the Laguz. And Lloyd, if that wasn't obvious. Is it disappointing? A bit, yeah. Did it kill hype? Some of it, but not a whole lot when I think about how there were still awesome characters in Archanea's and Fates' casts. Plus with DLC being possible it makes it a bit better, so here's hoping! Anyway, that aside...kind of interested to see how many original characters they put in, since I think there are around three or four now right?

Come to think of it, some of them remind me a lot of the style Sacred Stones and Rekka no Ken had for the character art...and I like it a lot. Thanks so much for translating this by the way. :D

Yeah, that would make a lot of sense. It definitely would be a struggle to write a story with...however many characters there are(I can't name it off the top of my head XD). But definitely, that does make more sense. I don't really mind that they added stuff from Awakening, since I loved that game to death, so the children don't bother me at all. But yeah, I agree about the over hyping too, but I guess it's what happens when they have a come back from Awakening. I'm looking forward to the game regardless. Damn time chamber confusion XD That's a good point, I assumed he wrote more than just the draft, but then again, it does make more sense when you put it that way.

So I haven't played Fates myself yet, but I've seen it everywhere that the story is very...lacking, especially on the Nohr side. I'm probably not going to notice how it's bad when the English version comes out(except for a few things I've seen about it), but it seems strange to me that IS wanted Fates's story to turn out better than Awakening's, but the opposite happened. Now I don't really know too much about how a story is made for a game, but I recall Kibayashi(forgive me if I spelled it wrong) making 300+ page drafts for Fates, but then it got heavily edited or something along those lines? Again, I don't really know what goes into story making, but...they were really excited to have Kibayashi write the story, they wanted to have a good story for Fates, but then it turns out very differently. So...does anyone understand(or at least guess) why they might've changed what Kibayashi wrote for them?

Anybody else hear Heather Hogan for Elise? She popped in my head the moment she said her line in the trailer. She's voiced Colette from Tales of Symphonia and Yonah from Nier if anyone's curious.

There SHOULD be two more for the males. I think there's one from the My Castle video, with a red haired avatar near the end of the video when they're talking about the My Castle fights. As for the second one...well, no idea, but I think it was said there was 12 hair options for both.

So...Anna's been in almost every game except Gaiden, being mostly in the tutorials, appearing as a resident in Rekka no Ken and then playable in Awakening. You think she'll go back to her job doing tutorials, be playable again, or maybe appear in some other form?

Somehow I get the feeling Takumi might kill one or two of the Nohr siblings...I can just see it happening. Right after a battle with one of the siblings, Kamui's trying to get them to reconsider or maybe even letting them escape from the fight or something around those lines, and then BAM, Takumi fires an arrow at them. It's just a feeling that's been there since finding out his personality.
