Well considering I married Asama to Felicia, my Mitama's hair color is pretty close to canon, though it's not quite that bright. I'm mostly mad at Grey's hair because it's not even close to possible without marrying Saizou to an orange-haired Kamui. None of the women have orange hair. NONE. (I guess the closest would be Sakura but that would still be pink.)

This is just a random thought, but since Mitama has starry eyes and Asama never opens his eyes, do you think Asama also has starry eyes? (We might never know for sure unless there's some offical art with his eyes open.)

I also think Hinoka's hair color is a bit to red. It's a really bright red that only looks good on some characters, like Matoi for example, but for most it doesn't seem to fit. It's interesting to see the hair color combinations for impossible pairings though.

I like the Hoshido siblings better in general so I love Sakura. I love Elise too, especially in the Hoshido storyline because of spoilers. She's my favorite of the Nohr siblings, but I still like Sakura better. She may be a bit shy at first, but she's also caring and brave and I love her. My precious imouto.

Quick translation question due to lack of kanji knowledge regarding My Castle battles. Image is in the spoiler tag. I know that the first two options are "Without Handicap" and "With Handicap" but what's the third option? When I go to it it doesn't seem any different from the "With Handicap" option, at least in this case.

Midoriko looks pretty good. Her hair has a slight green tint so she has a more teal shade in her hair.

I don't quite get the statue mechanics myself but you can only make one statue of each character and it takes a while for them to upgrade. (I don't think I have any Lv 3 statues yet and I just finished Ch 23. I barely have any Lv 2 statues either.)

I somehow managed to make pairings for every storyline, both male and female Kamuis, without any repeats, AND with little to no cousin marriage. It was rough, let me tell you. Touma was actually the easiest to figure out since I already decided I wanted pairings that were only possible in that route, and each unit has two possible cross-nation S-ranks. Some of the kids get screwed because of it, but there's way too many units to use anyway, so it doesn't matter if some of the kids suck. I don't know about how the females compare but when it comes to the sons, I'm sorry OP Son Morgan I have a new son and he's way more adorable than you. Morgan will always be ridiculously stronk but the way Kanna says "kaa-san" just melts my heart and I have way more maternal love for him than Morgan.

I actually married him to Orochi and their Grey makes a great Basara because his Strength and Magic are pretty similar so he can actually both of his weapons effectively, instead of my other Basaras that tend to stick to either Tomes or Spears.

That's exactly what I did in my Hoshido run. Sakura and Asama make better offensive units than healers, and flying healers are always useful.

Honestly, in my playthrough of Hoshido so far I've used versatile classes way more than specialists. It's mostly because I like their skills better, but also the specialists just seem more... boring? I don't know if that's the right word but I just find the more versatile classes to be more interesting, even if the units end up using primarily one weapon type anyway. (Like I made Shinonome a Basara for the skills but his magic stat is abysmal so he only uses lances.) Also I don't think any of my units has reached higher than a B rank in any of their weapons so the higher grade weapons don't matter as much to me.

She's pretty good. The best first-gen magic user in my opinion. I was expecting her to be good though so I didn't mention her in this thread. :P

I wouldn't say the Pegasus Knights are lackluster. They're just not the stand out units. Mine are pretty strong, they're just not the strongest. Also, any unit that I've upgraded/reclassed into Golden-kite Warrior has been a powerful asset. Aqua who was 100% support as a Dancer suddenly became a huge offensive threat as GKW.

To anyone who's started playing for themselves or watched other people play, did you have any units you underestimated/overestimated? Now this will definitely vary from run to run depending on various factors like RNG, playstyle, and how you build the characters, so this isn't to talk about characters as a whole, it's more about personal experiences. For me I'm currently doing a Hoshido playthrough, and one of the units I underestimated was Midoriko, because let's face it, she is the opposite of threatening. However, both her and her brother Shigure are EASILY the most powerful child units I have. I think currently she has the third highest strength stat out of all my units, after my unit and Ryouma, but I have no doubt she'll surpass him since I mostly use the child units now. She hasn't even gotten Extravagance yet, and with how much Easy Life triggers because of her personal skill, I know she'll be even more of a monster once she reaches Level 15. Also, both her and her brother are experts at unnecessary Lethalities. As for an underwhelming unit, I would have to say Rinkah. Even though I had high hopes for her, she was just not strong a powerful unit. I'm sure with time and better level ups she could have been great, but I ended up benching her because she was getting outclassed by almost everyone. Plus, she ended up being the odd woman out for mothering, which made her even less relevant. I'm sorry Rinkah... I still love her design and personality though.

I read through Felicia and Asama's supports and while I'm not good enough to translate it myself, here's the gist of it from what I can tell. My Japanese ability is pretty low so if someone wants to make a better summary/translation, go for it.

1. As long as you have a connection you can visit other people's castles, though if you want a specific person's castle you would likely have to use a code or attempt looking them up. I mostly visit castles that are under the recommended option. 2. You can only visit a specific castle once a day I'm guessing. If I try and go to a castle I've already been to it's grayed out and gives a message saying I can't. You can visit as many castles as you want in a row, though. The time only progresses in your own castle if you win a castle battle, so if you lose, it doesn't count as a movement in time. 3. You can only buy one item per visit, no duplicates. I don't know the other two answers. EDIT: You also get kicked out if you do the arena as well. So if you want to shop, fight, or do the arena, make sure you've collected the resources first.

Oh okay. I was confused at first because the way it looked made it seem like I had 14 out of 8 rice so I had more than enough, but after gaining one more from the arena it turns out I have 9/14. That explains it.

I recently managed to capture Dragee and when I try the first option in the Prison it gives me this message that I can't quite decipher due to my lack of kanji knowledge.

I tried reading through my Silas x Mozume supports by myself (I only have up to A-rank) and I can barely understand what Mozume is saying. If I posted pictures of their supports here, could somebody help translate them?

I recently got the game (playing Hoshido atm) and some of my planned supports don't have translations I know about! I'm looking for Mozume x Silas, Orochi x Saizou, Felicia x Asama (more Asama supports in general tbh), and Sakura x Tsukuyomi.

I'll mostly be playing as a girl but since the girl characters I want to romance most (Crimson and Yuugiri) are Mamui-sexual, it's not an issue for me.

I'm glad this thread exists as a place for reasonable people who like/are excited for the game. I should have never ventured away. I like both of the bigger build Kamuis better. I just think they look more appealing somehow. As for romance, my answer is the same as always: Jakob. Though I am pretty partial to Flannel and I think I would like to try romancing Suzukaze, Silas, and Asama. If I go M!Kamui, Yuugiri is my wife of choice, but she's only in Hoshido. I might go with Azura too, for the sake of story.
