  1. It would have been nice if there was a digital version of the complete manual and it was available within the Switch (ideally accessible from the new features 'X' menu). I'm going to have to print out the weapon stats and terrain data since I keep mixing up some details. QoL features aside, the port's been enjoyable thus far and I'm happy I waited on trying FE1 until this release.
  2. "These seas belong to Phoenicis and Kilvas, the kingdoms of the bird tribes. Both nations prey on human vessels for supplies and wealth, and their flying corsairs are feared across the seas." Both nations have pirates; it's just Phoenicis focused on Begnion for their role in the burning of Serenes Forest (along with other crimes against laguz like slavery). A pirate banner without pirate talk is no pirate banner to me. We just need someone to sing part of sea shanty to be complete. I like that IS is doing more non-yearly themed banners to not be constrained by the usual festivals/holidays. It adds a bit more variety and units that fit with the theme but may have been ignored otherwise. They'll also probably repeat this theme at some point. However, they need to stop giving the free units only skills already available in the summoning pool at 4*. They could have at minimum, given Darros something like Def/Res Bond 3 at 4* since Winter Jaffar has it at 5*.
  3. Yeah, that's probably it. Thanks for the testing input. I'll be looking out for people that can look at the points within the game with a save editor, and hopefully, soon we'll have all the info. Unfortunately for Byleth, it's best to raise supports with monastery activities and gifts since they grow very slowly in battle.
  4. Yeah, I'll have to do more testing, but from what I (and someone else) could check with Byleth and other characters already recruited, it is 1 point that is gained. 50 points is halfway to C, so there'd need to be other actions like fighting or other things like a meal to reach C. There is also the possibilities of differences between an Annette recruited or as a mission assistant.
  5. Oh, thanks a lot. I will be updating the list to adjust to what I can find. However, there are some claimed timelocks that I'm not finding (or people had confused) like claims that Ashe/Hapi C have a deadline and not just a starting line for Ashe/Hapi B after chapter 4. If around an hour after posting this, there are some missing, anyone should feel free to reply and tell me any I missed. Edit: Byleth supports should be done. Will work on adjusting the other ones in a few hours. There's a lot more supports that I imagined or was aware of, and I even think there are certain end locks missing from the page. This will take a while.
  6. Yeah, I mentioned it as an "incident" to not spoil too much. I'll remove that part once someone can mention specific deadlines for it on every path, although it may just be VW/SS (?). On Byleth x Hilda, I think I remember that one being locked too somewhere. Do you recall if you did Dividing the World (her and Cyril's paralogue) after the timeskip? Also thanks, I added it to the list.
  7. Edit: Added Byleth x Shamir C to pre-timeskip too. I had the B one for post-timeskip only. Also, I wonder if the Seteth/Catherine may have to do with it being Silver Snow, although the supports are generic enough. I'll try to pay attention when I play CF. Thanks, added it. I wonder if it's pre-chapter 11.
  8. Thanks. I added them with a question mark in case there's specifics. It's unfortunate Seteth has a time lock considering he's the last to join before the timeskip, but I do recall I got his C support early by just returning his lost items and giving him answers he liked.
  9. To avoid reviving an old thread missing quite a few supports, I'm making this new one so we can complete it. I will try to keep it in support log order (Byleth first, then lords, BE, BL, GD, others) and may format it differently later. Any help is welcome, such as missing supports or errors like the wrong chapter. There are a few question marks, and I hope someone can help mention any additional specifics, specially since I think some of the pre-timeskip-only ones may have specific deadlines. I also recall seeing some Ashen Wolves supports with timeskip locks, but could only find Ashe/Hapi. Legend: after means after the chapter starts or a pre-requesite is completed; until means until chapter mission; CF - Crimson Flower/Black Eagles Edelgard Route; AM - Azure Moon/Blue Lions; VW - Verdant Wind/Golden Deer; SS - Silver Snow/Black Eagles Church Route; (?) means information may be missing or conflicts with claims Byleth Supports: Here are other non-Byleth supports Crimson Flower only: Silver Snow only: Azure Moon only: Verdant Wind only: Multiple Paths: Ashen Wolves and non-Byleth characters (DLC-only): *Check if the glitch mentioned in the previous thread was fixed with an update: "On new Game Plus, if you access the holy tomb through the Amiibo Gazebo, it appears that the game cuts off some supports that can only be obtained early on (like Byleth x Dimitri C or Byleth x Rhea)"
  10. You may have seen a website that had assumed certification requirements from around the time the game released, but they've always been that. You may have also jumbled them up since Bow Knight requires both A bows and riding with C lances (A in main weapon/move type + C in secondary weapon). Dark Knight/Holy Knight probably have a lower skill level requirement in Reason/Faith, since until DLC wave 4's Valkyrie for female units, you couldn't raise both riding and magic in the same (pre-master) class, which meant more reliance on switching classes and lessons. Other classes with B+ requirements, like Great Knight, are to make up for not having classes that boosted all the required skill levels at the same time.
  11. 1. After certain chapters in the side story, the game will tell you which Ashen Wolves characters have become available for recruitment on part 1 main files (starting from chapter 2). It's up to you if you want to talk to them. They do not appear in part 2 if not recruited in part 1. 2. Yes, all units in the side story have fixed skill levels/class selections, and their stats will grow without effect on/from main game files. Nothing carries over. If you finish Cindered Shadows, you get 2 rewards you can check on the DLC supply box once per main game file. 3. It's not possible in a non-modding way, but all paid DLC features are optional as you mentioned. You can pick the ones you want to use per file or none at all. Online features are the ones that can be turned off.
  12. Along with some of the ones mentioned above, I like The Sleeping Sand Legend, Claude's paralogue. Making up for the lack of hidden items in the sand, the enemies already have the rare items, but there are two factions fighting each other which may result in missing out on some weapons if you don't hurry. If you want everything, you are almost forced to use Stride/Warp/Rescue and flying/magic users to reach the assassins, and you have to use Steal (which sees few uses in the game overall) to get stat boosters. The boss is noteworthy (although weak defensively) and the map is not repeated in any story battles. The map does become easy once you get the items, but you may have used a few gambits trying to get everything and there's wyvern lord reinforcements in Hard/Maddening that add either a bit of urgency (or training fodder). I don't like Lorenz's paralogue, Land of the Golden Deer, much. Little incentive to not just defeat the 2 enemies with drops and then the easy boss with warp/stride, and the Raphael/Ignatz paralogue in the same map at least has you split up, with monsters and a side objective of helping the villagers.
  13. I like a lot of these, but I'm going to rep Sothe here. I like how he has utility beyond fighting and is a free/forced deploy, specially with FE10-stealing and treasure finding, since he has multiple things to get each chapter, even if it's just an Arms Scroll and some coins. I like coins for forging him stronger knives. Joining with a Bronze Dagger is one of his best aspects since he can weaken without accidentally doing a critical hit. It's unfortunate Bane is forced on him by chapter 4, it would have been great as an early, weaker command skill like Flourish or SoV/3H Subdue. I want more early pre-promotes in the future to come with self-restraining arts/skills/weapons in the future, to help train others in the player phase and be competent in the enemy phase. Felicia would also be my second vote. I had low expectations, and she surprised me a bit as a character and as an unit. She's fun even in physical/hybrid classes thanks to the variety of magic weapons, and armories starting to sell them before ch14 (although there's random chance and visitor rank to get some earlier). Felicia's Plate is my favorite dagger for her, but props to the Fruit Knife and Stale Bread so she can slay foes with her food, and heal herself later.
  14. I have a silly reason to think they won't release LH Claude or Dimitri for a while: they don't have a timeskip version of Byleth, Dedue or Hilda to be their trailer pair-up partner. Blue Hair Byleth only makes sense for timeskip-Edelgard due to endgame spoiler reasons. However, they've paired heroes in the past with versions that are a bit further/back in the timeline and this is probably not a deterrent. Looking at the blessing calendar, it seems the next LH will be Earth (very unlikely they do back-to-back Fire). This exes out Claude who should be Wind. Dimitri could fit this, but considering he would likely be a High Lord with Areadbhar and Blue is full, I don't see it yet. He could be Water and October could be a good time for him. Will they ever finish the first columns and give out an Earth Res? Sigurd could fit that although he'd have liked the Duel effect for BST. Elincia with a new Amiti is a possibility around, but she doesn't feel like an Earth hero, more like Heaven=Wind (or Water). I haven't seen talk of a red dagger possibility, since we only have colorless dagger MH Eir, and they could change a sword user to a dagger user. Considering Sothe was in the 8-bit anniversary trailer, I wouldn't put it past them to have had him in mind because an LH was planned for this year. It's not deserved yet, but they may be thinking of spreading out the popular picks even further. I am going to imagine June's going to be Sigurd, and July is colorless tome Ashera.
  15. Does anyone have the full damage formula for Three Houses? I specifically want to confirm the Crest addition part. It seems Crest damage is added after whatever is shown in the preview window, before being reduced by any Barrier/other damage reducing ability (rounded down with decimals not remembered), and before Critical Hits. What prompted me to wonder:
  16. I found them in Medium. Here's the Seasons of Warfare calendar and the ending paintings. Can't find the medieval painting from Cindered Shadows in high quality however.
  17. You're right. I mixed it up since I haven't played FE6 in a long time, and I like to check back how much I got of something and access it for extra healing items. The Roy convoy and FE7 option both get rid of the 1-slot sacrifice, but the latter maintains the bait potential. I like the idea of him providing support bonuses, especially assuming he's mobile from the get-go. One of the issues with his FE7 supports was someone had to be left behind to benefit from them, and by the time he was on a horse, the maps start to get packed or rushed. A side story with the Hasha no Tsurugi characters would be nice. I was thinking they could do it post-game, but I would not mind a Cindered Shadows or Hector Mode take on it. If they do add them, I think around release, Heroes would have a banner with Al, Tiena, Gant and Guinevere, the latter probably becoming available in the main game after defeating Zephiel.
  18. Speaking of irony, that's one of Hubert's listed interests. Maybe the other ironic gameplay features he has like Paragon as an enemy and being the only unit to start out weaponless stem from someone wanting to express irony that way. I imagine a line similar to "you want to reach the archbishop, why not have the goddess instead?," but the irony is better left unsaid and implied. If Hubert were more of an art appreciator, I would think he held the icon as an art piece he liked. Considering the major ties between the Adestrian Empire and the Church, maybe he had the icon as a memento from a family member.
  19. I'll mention other things in PM, but on Heroes, I think it might be nice to bring the Localization Pages in the style of this to a forefront. It might be good to setup the table with every name not localized outside of a CYL setting, and then leave spaces to fill out around monthly as new heroes from the first 6 games and New Mystery get added or referenced. That way when the pages of those games get updated, there's an easy reference, and it's also info many people are interested in seeing. Something that could speed up the updating is putting the info already presented on news articles of new trailers into a table format. If the main info of Name, Type, Voice and Artist is placed on a row, it can then be copy/pasted into the Characters page to update it. The weapon and skill pages may be better left linking to the wiki in the way the Berwick Saga ones are. If those aren't updated yet, the readers can just go to the approved sources at the top to check the new stuff. Another suggestion is having a thread where the staff can ask for help on putting concepts/explanations into words, and repliers can chime in and offer to write the paragraphs that would be placed on the website. An example would be: a Grand Conquests page would need to be made, but the staff doesn't have time to write it, is behind on the updates and/or isn't aware of some intricacies. A request for someone to write the Grand Conquests page is placed on that thread, someone can then reply to offer to make it whole or a part of it, then when ready, they post it, it's revised/edited by the community and staff, and then gets added to its own page. During that process, there could also be some image requests with specifics of what the staff members want in the page (ex: the layouts of the starting menu, rankings, selection screen and a battle). Overall, it'd be something to take part of the load off from the content managers, and it'd involve the forum community directly and in one-time commitments. Guidelines would be there, and there could be a vetting process to assure certain quality, which could be an initial paragraph. I mention this since it might be better to reject before they've already written it all, or at least, if the problem is unfamiliarity/issues with English, also ask for someone to help them translate or fix it.
  20. Something I realized a while after making this thread is that most FE6 maps have a spot that could be saved for Merlinus and it would maintain the pattern or symmetry they were going for with the deployment slots, with a notable exception of the first one with battle preparations, chapter 6, but they could add/remove a deployment slot to maintain symmetry if they wanted. This makes me lean more into liking the FE7-like deployment slot option. Another thing I remembered is that in recent FEs, noticeably FE3H, characters cameo in supports that aren't theirs. Merlinus could get support inclusion this way, while not needing supports himself. He could be developed to offer more of his opinion and reactions to events that affect his position as a merchant, while giving the lines that are best left to a close aide/tactician to other characters.
  21. Adding to the train here with my love for the website and that I am willing to help out starting in a few weeks. I have some viewable information I've compiled in tables as well as spreadsheets I've downloaded from contributors across the web that would be nice to include or link in the main page with proper sourcing. With some fixing and placing into coding (html), some of the details Mekkah asked for can be added. Considering it's related to the request for 3H info, I'll mention I also posted a support points thread some months ago to ask for help in compiling all the supports points data with the intent of getting tables on the main site eventually. If anyone with the capacity to mod the game (with tools like these, specifically the support viewer) has some free hours of time coming up in a few weeks, and would like to volunteer for some testing, tell me to coordinate and get the support part down that way. Accurate info on support points is very important for 3H since an entire path, a sacred weapon and some paralogues are locked behind them, but to my knowledge, the complete info is missing from the searchable internet. Also Mekkah, although some of the suggestions in the page could make up a pitfalls video worth of examples, the contributors of the Neoseeker pages worked very hard and have a lot of good info you are asking for, such as chapter and paralogue info, and they have a lot of images including the calendar months. It's overall a good resource for chapter-by-chapter summaries, although it may get too spoilery at times. SF is particularly good because it offers most of the information objectively and orderly, with subjectivity mostly left to quick remarks and news, and in those cases, it's still done respectfully. All of the FE resources have their pros and cons, but I think SF stands above particularly because of the effort and care of the people managing and contributing to it. I reply to this thread to echo the support and desire for SF to continue to be a main FE resource. I understand the content managers are all very likely busy, but hopefully, more people can all add some part in getting the website up to date.
  22. Revisiting this thread now that Groom Rafiel is an infantry beast with the same transformation effect as the other infantry beasts. I no longer think they have intentions of releasing inheritable beast weapons, which opens up the possibility of dragons as armored beasts with dragon weakness inherent to their personal and only viable weapon (unless you want to weaken them with the basic 9 might Adult weapon).
  23. The remake base discussion got me thinking how Merlinus may be better off mostly replaced, and left to occasional info drops relevant to his travels or base conversations if they add those. He isn't a good foil to Roy as some of the tacticians like August to Leif and Soren to Ike are, who have more to add with their distinct personalities and morals. What they could do to salvage him is make him and another character be part of a commenting/quarreling duo like Gray/Tobin and Mae/Boey are in SoV. I would prefer if he were replaced with an upgrade of Lilina and Marcus as retreating characters that intervene more in the story. I also would like it if he was removed as a deployable unit and Roy obtained the Convoy option. That would remove the bait option he adds in some maps, but it would free up a slot in maps where you plan to buy a lot. The FE7-like slot is the option I think they'll go for even if they are overly faithful (I imagine it would still be the moving convoy in this case). I am including a fighting option which would be funny. He could be able to counter like staves/laguz in Radiant Dawn, maybe using a random low-use weapon from the convoy and throwing them like a dagger.
  24. If they return to an explorable base, they should do like the Pagan Altar in Abyss, where a sub-menu allows you to go directly in front of the vendor/other feature to reduce the waste of time in walking if you're tired of it already or want to get it over with quickly. I think there's potential, and they could do something like a moving caravan/base, where the layout is the same, but the background/weather changes. Tellius is specially good for this since they have a story-integrated merchant caravan, and the tents (specially the meeting room ones) are shown often. They'd already be designing the tents for story cutscenes. For FE9, the alternate base looks could be Begnion for that arc. For FE10, there'd have to be more looks or expansions for the Dawn Brigade's mechant caravan pre-Pelleas, a Crimean base, a Daein army one without the merchant caravan, and probably a change of look for the supply caravan as it goes from Dawn Brigade/Daein to Ike's army to then splitting into 3 (although they'd likely just reuse the layout and change the background). I'm surprised the Echoes: Path of Radiance typo is still up at the moment of writing this, but I think they'd rename the Path of Radiance subtitle to something else. For now, this will remain a rumor, and I'll say the main hint is still Binding Blade since that'd be the one the Echoes: Shadows of Valentia director would like and answered when asked in that interview 3 years ago. Like Mangs said, Ike is the most popular FE character and Tellius is very popular, and due to the inflated prices because they were the worst selling at time of release, they could be considered the most wanting of a remake, and Nintendo/IS will want to cash in on this. Hopefully not, but it will probably be true. An avatar in Tellius would be another Kris, and making them just another new Greil Mercenaries recruit would go against the story relevance expected from Avatars by now. The game where I feel they would best fit and help is a Binding Blade remake, replacing most of Merlinus's story interventions, alongside an upgrade of Lilina's story relevance (in exchange for making her a retreating character).
