Hey y'all! Been a long time since I stuck my head in here. Been replaying Berwick recently (wanted to reread the story and mess around with some stuff), and I've come across quite possibly the most hilarious build I've ever done:

That's fair. Lythos is definitely the worst off. I swear, there are some things in Engage that are genuinely really cool, and then there's this. Also, that does raise the question of how much of Elusia got genocided, and how much is left for Ivy to rule over. Always kinda wondered what's up with that, since everywhere we go in Elusia post-ch18 has no humans except for the Four Hounds. Guess everyone who didn't get conscripted in life got conscripted by death?

The worldbuilding was one of my biggest issues with Engage. Felt like nobody lives in Brodia/Elusia/Lythos whatsoever, Firene and Solm have visible populations but it feels like there's almost no insight into Solm's people outside of Merrin's backstory. Firene gets nice establishing shots of its scenery, actual towns with people, and a general sense of the kind of people that live there. It's the only place in the game that feels even remotely alive imo

Tianna has a funny line if you don't use her at all by Ch12. You'll see, lol.

Oh. This is gonna be something else. Excited to see the absolute horror of Königswolf Derrick in a normal run (though I did see someone do it with a randomizer run that gave Derrick Deathmatch, that was hilarious)

Oh yeah, something to note I found out about yesterday. Endgame spoilers:

He does both, somehow! IIRC he was very close to promotion - HP and SPD were his first level, MAG soon after. With the HP potion he had 30HP, and could Phoenix Brace up to 32. With promotion, that's enough to tank through the 12-m ballistae. Ignore that I spent an hour trying to rig a defense level on him and never got it.

I started a Berwick run last fall but didn't finish it due to school stuff. I really should get back to it - I had crazy stuff like instapromo Czene, Tankcival, and +10 hit brace on Axel with the Battle Saw. I was all the way up to Impossible Dream, too. Now I've got 3 concurrent FE(ish) playthroughs considering Engage Maddening, Berwick, and my FE4 revisit (haven't played in a while and set it up on a homebrewed wii so I can play on my TV, so far so good. Planning on doing the same for FE5 and Path of Radiance before also replaying RD on original hardware).

Hey guys, 1AM Spara here with a mental breakdown. So, with Engage's OST, there are multiple versions of the main map themes, each with a bit more complexity than the previous. However, one thing I did not realize is that the game actually shifts music tracks midmaps sometimes - when you break down the door in Ch10 the music "upgrades" and adds the choir and some bass simultaneously to the soundtrack while it remains the same piece. I did not notice it the first time, but holy shit this is cool. It's kinda subtle but really cool in practice once you notice it. FE has done midmap soundtrack changes in the past, but nothing like this, and rarely are they permanent like this one!

Oh, my god. It's BEAUTIFUL. I started a Maddening run last night. Just finished Chapter 5, so far it's pretty fun. Clanne is an autobench though, deals like no damage to anyone that isn't an armor knight.

Yeah, me too. Gonna get back to Ch22 shortly, but this final arc is shaping up to be AMAZING. Also, Ch18 unit.

I just finished Chapter 21. Not gonna give a bunch of thoughts cuz it's late, but I think I agree with Ruben.

I've started using him. Currently thinkin about testing him with Byleth for Thyrsus, so he can have 40 crit on Elsurge while attacking at range. If so, oh man, this is gonna be FUN. Even with Elfire+2 he's really fun. If the Elsurge strat works out, he'll be able to push like 70% crit!

I haven't started using him, but him also having a Thoron only in his starting inventory means you don't get an accurate sense of his speed, either. Damn you, IS!

Hey y'all! I haven't posted on SF in a long time, but recently had the idea to make a community-based Top 5 Units for this game, since it seems to be pretty up in the air depending on who I'm talking to at a given moment. For this list, give me your ordered list of the 5 units you consider to be the best units in the game, and I'll post results in the future once I feel I have a good sample size (I'm also polling multiple Discord servers about this.)

Also, yeah, been a while since I've been in here. Haven't been playing FE much recently, though I did pick up that Hope's Trail fanhack. I thought it was fine until it suddenly heavily inflated enemy stats and spammed siege tomes everywhere in the sixth chapter. Been otherwise busy with school/ getting pounded in my attempt to beat Elden Ring at level 1. I see a new Serra image in your sig, btw. I've never even seen her get promoted before lol

I didn't believe it because of the whole "this game has been completely done for over a year" thing with the traditional super blurry screenshots and also the fact that the leak image was entirely in Traditional Chinese.

Just popping in to say: 1. I did not for a second believe those leaks were real. Some of those details sounded so hilariously fake. 2. Not a big fan of the art style, lots of samefaceyness happening. Beardman looks hype though. 3. The summoning heroes thing seems like a neat idea if done right, this is something I'm actually curious about wrt how it works. But hey if all the leaks were correct from that original post then FE4 remake when
