A long time ago, a very noble, stupid and foolish young man came to this place called Serenes. He made friends, met similar people, and had a pretty buckwild time. Until later on, that young man faced depression and some hardships, and Serenes was more of a toll on his psychological mind and thinking, and his outside life, than anything else. So after many days and weeks of debating, I, am leaving once and for all. But because I don't have a good mental track list of being able to keep to my promises, I wish for a moderator to ban me posthaste. If not else, this is what I wish for. I do not wish to belong on this site anymore, or desire to log back on. So I want someone to forcibly remove me from it. I would sincerely appreciate it. Once again, to those I've liked on this site, thank you. To those I disliked, I am sorry. But I don't wish to exist here any longer.

IT IS OFFICIALLY OGRE i just pressed SEND on the last email containing my last piece of undergraduate work i've been working on this motherfucker since march 2011 and this feels SO GOOD. my first graduate semester was officially paid for by SOMEBODY ELSE a few days ago too so that felt incredible. everything is amazing. magna cum laude, sluts. industrial & systems engineering, twin minors in mathematics and the german language and culture. now it's time for five years of grad school

cross-posting this from another forum i live on because i just don't even know anymore and some of you guys are smarter than me :( I've been having a pretty persistent issue with USB headsets disconnecting and then reconnecting extremely predictably for the last few months. Basically if I'm in any kind of vox call (Skype or Steam or whatever doesn't matter, the microphone just has to be live as far as I can tell) and I adjust the volume my speakers, the headset vanishes from Windows' devices and totally cuts off, then reconnects a half second later. Usually, that's the end of it and everything carries on; sometimes it pulses through that cycle once or twice more. More recently, if I exit any fullscreen program, the headset will go into a spiral of disconnect-reconnect-disconnect- for a totally random length. I've seen it do it three times, twenty times, and "i gave up and restarted the call after a minute, which fixed it." This was annoying but came to a head yesterday when my controller started doing the same nonsense when I was playing Rocket League. I'd hit any buttons, it would work fine, but then a few seconds later the controller would disconnect. Unlike the headset, it didn't reconnect immediately; it took between 5 seconds and, well, never to reconnect. Now, I don't have to be running anything - just hitting any buttons on the controller makes it disconnect and immediately reconnect. Until yesterday, this problem hadn't affected any of my other USB devices, and my speakers/mouse/keyboard remain totally unaffected regardless of the situation (fingers crossed). Things that have not fixed the problem: - Updating the softwares that seemed attached to the problem (Skype, etc) - Moving to a new hard drive with Windows 10 installed instead of Windows 7 - Different USB headsets - Different copies of the same USB headset (unrelated: the same headset works on my other machine) - Different USB ports - Disconnecting other USB devices - Connecting more USB devices - Flashing BIOS - Turning off selective suspend - Turning on selective suspend I'm at my wit's end here. It seems like a hardware problem (PSU, maybe?) at this point but the symptoms are entirely too specific and too replicable for me to go "oh yeah i got to drop money on this component and." All temperatures/power draw/etc specs are within tolerances according to CPU-Z, and none of this affects or is affected by computer performance - it'll happen identically running both EU4 and GW2 at the same time plus background processes, or when the only things I have open are Skype and Firefox. as happens every once in a while i guess so i'm taking an exam today, proctored by the ta, and the professor walks in, looks around, and walks over to me. that's a little alarming tbh, then he leans over and asks me "do you have any class after this one?" i give him the negatory. WOSSUP MY HOMIESt tablet posting from school so let's cut to it WHAT IS DUOLINGO? duolingo is a free online language learning program that owns shit and you should be a member of it. it's very eurocentric presently but they're slowly diversifying, the content is mostly (entirely?) user made so somebody needs to have a wild hair to start a program. the languages that exist include spanish, french, geman, danish, swedish, irish, portuguese, italian, and probably some i can't remember. turkish and polish and russian and others are en route! there's also an app on your preferred app/play store, but i recommend checking the site as well since there's a lot of explanatory text before each lesson that isn't included in the (at least apple) app for some reason. WHAT DO I DO? do a lesson a day, do ten lessons a day, hell who cares! plug away at one language or five! use the "english for native x speakers" programs if english isn't your native language! (note: cannot vouch for quality of these) they're just grammar/vocab lessons but if you get deeper you can start trying (badly) to translate wikipedia articles and shit, it's really cool! WHY THIS THREAD? three reasons: 1: we can all follow each other and keep each other motivated and laugh at integrity dipping his toes into everything! 2: there are native/fluent speakers of tons of languages on this site, let's make em work! taking the german course and something just doesn't make sense? post about it and i'll make ike-mike answer if i can't! 3: learning new languages fucking owns even if you only learn a bit and i think everybody should do it! nobody will be surprised to learn that i am RNIntegrity and that i would be happy to be anybody's support program or study buddy because learning languages is like the best thing ever.

I've actually been thinking a lot about cos- CROSS playing Alice. I don't see myself doing it any time soon- But...it's on my mind, definitely. I wonder how'll things go if I keep going to The GYM and stuff- It's almost counter-productive. ;u; I think the most annoying part will be facial hair.

So I have no idea why I'm talking about this on a Fire Emblem forum. Maybe I just wanna vent about random stuff who knows. As some of you knew I was in the Job Corps program. I technically still am but they support 2 paid for years of college. I use their dorms and they still pay me. They have dumb rules, but you know what it's worth it. Despite wanting better net for Smash Bros i'm relying on little places that have net and trying to find a job currently that can fit into the whole.. College schedule and Job Corps curfews. I'm applying at Gamestop and the Miccydees here in Moses Lake WA. I hope to get some part time work, maybe even get some solid internet for Smash 4 both 3DS and Wii U. I'll be going back to Arizona on December 18th to the 4th of Jan to spend time with my Mother and maybe some friends in the area (perhaps even Refa and Lord Raven). But yeah I just felt like explaining why I've been a bit less active and maybe more snappy and I'm sorry if I have snapped at you in the past few months. I also still want to make an FE hack but I dno if I'll get the freaking means or time haha.
