Pass is way more useful than guard, which has never activated for me. Well that's not true. It activated for me once when I had Harr attack Micaiah in river crossing. 3. You can make Heather's str cap pretty easily. BEXP 4. Heather's promotion isn't restricted 5. Heather activates Bane more often for me. And when she does, it's her first attack. You may as well assign Sothe whatever useful skills you want, he has the capacity. Saying that she activated a crappy ability more often isn't an argument. They have the same chance of activating it.
