Even Titania looks annoyed at him for saying that. No, no they're not, Ike. Don't listen to your wannabe lover tactician. I've always wondered...are manaketes and dragon laguz the same? Or are manaketes a different variation of dragon/human hybrids? Much to the relief of everyone, I'd guess. Change of scene to the female member of Daein's Four Riders, Petrine, receiving news of the Greil Mercs' escape in the last chapter. Interestingly enough, Petrine is one of the most strongly anti-laguz Daeins in the Tellius arc, yet she holds a noteworthy respect for Ena. Thank you for pointing that out, FE Wiki. Everyone, Greil? The only one left is Ike. Or is your senility kicking in? Wishful thinking, Titania. Use Ike. Simple enough, no? So...Greil and Gatrie in one group, and Ike for the rest. Sounds good. This is Tellius. There are no ambush spawns! Oh, Gatrie...how wonderful it would be if you died disappeared. Ike's the only one left, man. If he died, it'd be game over anyway. That's a really good line. Having the injured woman supporting, eh Greil? Nice one. That do be the map. Don't worry Soren. You won't have to do anything, not that you could anyway. "We?" Ever the decisive one, Ike is. Aww, that's sweet...if terribly risky. And against the rules of this run. Sorry, Elincia. Could've said that a touch more gently, but he's right. Fleeing with everyone else, yes you will. How cute, Rolf. Following your father's example, I see. Having an injured woman protect other people. For shame. Everyone meaning you, Ike. Let's get started! Only one unit left, but he's a good unit. That def could use some work though. Let's see what the next few level ups have for him. First move is to try to draw the enemies over to Ike, but when that doesn't work, I go for a much more direct approach. And I kind of pay for that, since Ike takes hits from both of those soldiers. But Ike gets a good level up out of it, so it's not too bad. I really want to see that defense go up though. After taking those hits, I pull Ike back into the woods and give him a vulnerary to heal up. Ike's pretty fast already, but the woods gives him that extra avoid to make him nearly untouchable. I did say nearly untouchable, didn't I? Some misses and Ike finishes off the axe cavalier. 0 hit against him, haha. Still, that extra avoid comes in handy when Ike can dodge even myrms and magic. The enemy falls back to heal, and Ike goes to end that mage. And then he goes and lands a beautiful crit on that myrm. For once I was fast enough to screenshot a bit of the flash from it. I pull out the steel sword to ORKO this soldier, and then switch back to iron to kill that archer. I give Ike a vulnerary and scope out the right side of the bridge to see what I can expect as I advance. First soldier goes down, and the axe cav takes a beating. Ike gets another level up. Not too shabby. Speed and defense are always good, and HP is a nice bonus. Axe cav meets his end very quickly. Another lance soldier goes down, and Ike dodges a javelin thrown his way. Ike lands another beautiful crit and downs the armor knight in one go, and takes a single point of damage from an archer. Ike crit count: 3 And the cleric there heals his archer buddy that Ike failed to kill with an iron sword. A mage tries to go after Ike, but they might as well not have since Ike immediately destroys them afterwards. Ike uses the extra power of the steel sword to end the archer, but it isn't quite enough to down that lance soldier. Ike nabs another good level up and goes to kill that soldier in front of the cleric. Soldier goes down, and the cleric follows suit. Ngl, I always feel a bit bad for killing unarmed units, but eh...I want the EXP more. And it makes it even worse when they recoil so strongly from Ike's attacks. Anyway, Ike chugs another vulnerary before going to kill the boss and the remaining enemies. Make that two vulneraries. Just in case. And Ike's defense stat is good enough that he doesn't take any damage from iron bows now. Nice. Some more dodging, some more killing. Even more dodging, and even more hitting. Using the Regal Sword doesn't crit though, so the armor knight survives. Armor knight goes down and Ike gets a chance to clear out the rest of the pesky archers. genocIke.png HAHAHAHAHA! YOU THINK YOU CAN STOP ME?! HECK YEAH THAT'S AN AWESOME COMEBACK! One last level up for this chapter after Ike dodges that short spear. Nice. Some statboosters I find along the way will patch up that res and defense. I decide to pull out the Regal Sword again and hope for a crit, but no such luck. And down he goes! Nah, don't think so. The last soldier puts up a bit of a fight, but it's not enough. Stepping over the last body, Ike escapes, having committed yet another massacre so early in his young life. Indeed. I guess Ike is too modest to realize how great he is, or he's just that dense. It's always so cute when she calls him that. You should. I would feel pretty safe if I had a one man army with me all the time. Uh...is she gonna faint again? Napping while standing up is a very unique skill, one that Elincia appears to have mastered. And she's awake again, just like that. Parting ways once again, Ike goes to help his father out. And Gatrie as well, I guess. Apparently being that dense runs in the family. O kawaii koto. And that's it. Thanks for reading! See you next update!

If only he were willing to follow his own advice. Good point. That is the kinda level he really needed. Definitely. Ike is getting close to that 20 cap, soon he is going to be simply spinning his wheels until the end of 17-4 Which is why I'll be speeding through the chapters whenever possible on maps that aren't rout-fests. The update: Spoiler Chapter 7: Welcome to the next update for this LP! Thanks for keeping up with it. I really appreciate the replies. Ike and Soren just chatting in the woods about what to do next. Looks they've agreed to retreat and wait for Greil and Gatrie to return. Or not. So much for listening to your tactician, Ike. Cue "it's quiet, too quiet" comment. Surprise, surprise. Should've headed back home, Ike. Well at least we're not alone, right? Right? Yep, such is the way of solo runs. Fair warning, this map is a lot of camping and countering, so I'll be posting the highlights rather than posting every single fight. Hope that's okay. Can't imagine you all would want to read/watch through each encounter. Enter best Tellius swordgirl. The bane of enemies' existence in RD... I mean, Mia. Yeah, Mia. You getting a free iron sword, of course! And another body to add to the pile of corpses already there. You giving me your iron sword. That's what. Ayup. After a while of fighting, Ike gets his last level up for a good, long stretch of the game. Would've liked some more strength, but defense and everything isn't half bad either. There'll be some stat boosters in the coming chapters as well. All that bluster and Ike's only response is "who are you?" xD I swear. Ike's bluntness is comedy gold. Petrine was certainly never one to mince words either. She prefers to mince people instead. And Greil popping in with more great lines. Thanks for the affirmation, Dad. I'm so glad you'll be around for a long time, so we can continue on this path of being mercenaries together. Sees the man carrying an axe. Calls him a sellsword. Big brain Petrine. Greil the ladies man. Oh, I don't think so. So yeah, strategy for the rest of the chapter was to camp and down them one by one. killingeverylastoneofthem.png -------- Both Mia and Gatrie were added to the pile of bodies. F for swordgirl. Nobody cares about Gatrie. So after clearing out the place, Ike goes up against the boss of the map, a mage. A beautiful crit later, and the boss is dead. And after clearing out the last few enemies, the map is over. Looks like Greil and Petrine are duking it out. Don't worry, Ike. He's got the weapon triangle advantage. Looks like it. Or not. Indeed. Well-played, Petrine. If we're going down, we're going down together, Dad! The sound of your stomach rumbling? It has been a while since you last ate, Ike. That's a risk they're willing to take, apparently. I'd listen to them if I were you. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of their c h o m p c h o m p. Always watch out for the big guy in heavy armor carrying a beastly sword. Yes, yes. All is well since Ike was there to save the day. Oh, and Elincia still has the superglue on her hands, I see. Way to step on some toes, Ike. Nice save. A bit of story exposition. Would you say you're lost in thoughts, all alone, Elincia? I'll see myself out now. Rest of your men? laughs in almost everyone being dead Uh oh. Looks like Greil's senility is kicking back in. At the sound of food, Ike is already imagining what delicious meats he can down as fast as possible. she said with a faint blush, hoping to see her beloved lord once again... Little convo between father and son, with a sassy retort from Ike. And Greil suddenly moves the conversation to being about Elena. There's a lot more to unpack about Greil and Elena's relationship than just that, but that's for another game, no? After a brief separation following their conversation, Ike decides to tail his father into the woods, only to find him locked in battle with Zelg-I mean, the Black Knight. Yeah, the Black Knight. "I've got everything I need, right heeyah!" One anime-style battle later... That face you make when you know ya done screwed up. Looks like somebody forgot how the weapon triangle worked. That's gonna hurt in the morning. Without any blood, no less. *cue badly voice acted scream* FAAAAAAAAATHEEEEEEEERRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! Senility. That's what. That's some creative liberty the translators took with these lines. Especially the one about Mist. That wasn't even present in the Japanese version, at all. Ike angree. Unfortunately, I don't think you're in a position to put up any resistance, Greil. I don't know why you would. You're OP in both PoR and RD. Beam him up, Scotty! Probably one of the most memorable deaths in any FE game, for me at least. Greil was and is my favorite father in the series, despite him meeting the same fate that almost every other FE father has met. F for best dad. Yes. Yes you will. Single-handedly. And that's the end of the chapter. Thanks for reading! See you next time!

Also a lot of the mechanics of a comic hadn't developed. For instance, in the "Invisible Man Known as Dr. Gade", they hadn't thought of thought bubbles, and would simply put "(thinking)" or "(loud)" at the start of speech bubbles... which gave the comedic effect of a character who seemed to think that saying "thinking" prior to a statement meant no one could hear him monologue.
