Why is it taking so long for the assassins to kill something

A peaceful night... very few of them existed now. Yet as the residents of New Novo did their headcount the next morning, they realised, nobody had died the previous night. Was it just chance? Had something gone wrong in the Assassins Guild, perhaps? Or maybe someone had been saved from the brink of death?

Either way, the people took the oppertunity to lynch another target.

It is now day phase. This day ends at 18:45 GMT on Sunday, then the following night will be extended indefinitely over Christmas.

Robin Turbyfill aka Snike finished his cigarette, then headed back into the back alley. There waiting was a man, his contact in the police force.

"Well?" he asked, hoping to be correct this time.

"We've checked. They're both assassins. Both Hemlock aka Suzie Stamas and BK-201 aka Rolland Flakne are." Robin gave a sigh of relief. He was free from his mission in the guild. "Here's your plane ticket. Get out of here, quickly, before the assassins find you."

And so he ran. The Spy, having worked out many of the assassins, fled, his mission complete.

I don't actually have a real role PM handy for Snike, but here's his victory condition:

You are allied with the town, although you have a different win condition: You must survive until at least day 6, at which point you may reply to this PM with the names of two assassins, EXCEPT the Revenge Seeker and Scimitar. If you get both correct, then they will be revealed to the town and you win the game. If you guess incorrectly, you may guess again the following day. Be aware that guessing incorrectly repeatedly may be bad for you. N.B. if all but 2 of the unknown assassins are killed, you must only name one assassin to win. If all assassins except the Revenge Seeker and Scimitar are killed, you will automatically win and be extracted.

Dear Snike,

I am Robin Tubyfill. I am an assassin. I kill for money and nothing else.

I don’t see any reason to detail my past, since it’s pretty boring. I wasn’t born here, but grew up on a farm in Kanari. Since I was six years old I’ve helped my dad and other brothers, working the land and caring for the animals. It was hard work, but it made me strong. At eighteen, some traders came along to buy ‘workers’. Or in other words, slaves. My dad gave me his knife and said ‘Hide this under your tunic. Once you’re in the open country, kill them all. They trade in human lives... take theirs’. And so I did. After that, dad decided it wasn’t safe for me to stay in the country, so I headed east to safety, claiming to be an asylum seeker (there were civil wars in nearby countries, and people who aren’t from Kanari or the nearby countries can’t tell us apart, so all I needed were a few lies). So I reached New Novo. In an unfamiliar city life was hard, but I got by doing odd jobs. But then someone found me, identifying herself as ‘The Master.’

She took me into her guild and trained me after noting my exceptional talent. She said she knew of my past although never told me how. Now she thinks I’m her most direct assassin. I don’t do any funny stuff, but nothing will stop me once I’m committed to killing someone. That should be obvious, though, if I’m paid to do it, I’ll do it.

You are known among the assassins as ‘Shamshir’. You are allied with the assassins, and win if the assassins kill all of the targets, even if you are killed before that point.

At this point, it should be easy enough to narrow down the list of players. I'm considering Ether and Weapons to be confirmed as town, because it's more likely than both of them being assassins, but obviously I don't know for sure.
