Thank you. Just downloaded this game w/ patch yesterday. Playing this game on lunatic without the rainbow potion/reclass limits removed would have been quite painful. I don't think I'll be doing that till my second run though. Prob gonna play a female for first run through since knight is best for lunatic from what I remember. Most likely I'll pick a mage. I just wish you could play one of the older FE4 class types that could wield swords alongside magic/staves on a horse... actually make that on a wyvern. I'd totally play a mage wyvern. That would be like the ultimate class. Was also gonna ask which one was classic/casual. Thanks as well. Side question: Where can I find menu translations?

Replace Harken with Rebecca and focus on how Eliwood's early game is utter poo poo and that Rebecca sees more combat than he does since she at least fails at 2 range. Downplay Eliwood's rapier utility on chapter 15/16 because of his lack of durability/power/move when facing the enemy cav spam. You'd much rather use Hector, Marcus, and Oswin for that anyway. Follow it up with how his low level affects his mid and late game negatively. Watch Eliwood drop like a rock while sipping martini's on the beach. Life is good. Edit: If you wanna be a real rear end in a top hat bring up how Rebecca has a 20% higher speed growth at 60% and only loses to Eliwood by 1 point in base speed. Also bring up how similar they are in terms of bases/growths.

That's why I said probably. There always will be strategies like that. It just seems the more efficient strategy in general is when you get a draco shield for free on a chapter and you got some extra stuff to sell you might as well trade it in for a seraph robe.

We should probably also sell spirit dusts, draco shields, and talismans. I feel the only stat boosters we should be buying/keeping from an efficiency perspective are energy drinks, seraph robes, and speedwings. And energy drinks might be better off sold for forges/arena/whatever. The spirit dusts have the problem that sages can only hit 25 speed max so we probably shouldn't bother using them. I know you might want them for etzel after reading the argument last page so it's the tier players call. If I sell 2 dracoshields or talismans and buy a seraph robe with the money I'm actually better off than if I had used them since I get both a +3 larger boost and the boost applies not just to enemies who attack defense but enemies who attack res as well. Same cost better results.

Can you buy warpstaves in a shop on insanity at least? Cause that is bullshit if they removed them completely.

Why the heck is cav/peg My Unit not in top tier? And what's Fina doing above Catria? Fina is going to have a hard time keeping up with the top tiers on this mode due to lack of move/flight. Also weaker enemies means the tier player can be far more aggressive with his use of the top/high tiers. This should limit her utility. She will probably end up just using dance on Marth more often than not.

Yea I knew how strong the enemies were. I knew they had ridiculous speed stats and near cap stats along with +8 forges we get to fight. If your whole point was that saving the player a master seal isn't worth the money saved then sure I agree with you. I didn't know we would be getting that many. I was gonna argue with you on Minerva's position to be honest. Just a few moments ago though I went and checked the growth rates on the few guys directly below her in conjuncture with the bases so now I'm not so sure. A few of them could probably rise up and surpass her as Heroes/Swordmaster. Specifically Cain, Frey, Roger, Nabarl. Repost the original post before you edited it if you can. You made some good points.

I'm probably the most hardcore guy on the site if my love of Deadly Premonition and budget titles is any indication, yet I am looking forward to creating my own my unit. Guess that means I'm a closet casual! I don't really put any value on the terms hardcore or casual. Nerds just use them satisfy there feelings of rage/inadequacy whenever there games are threatened by anything in particular.

That's why she is below Paola. No one is saying she is better than Paola. She isn't even close to paola and she never will be. But the deal is, Paola/Katua/My Unit cannot solo whole chapters alone. They need support and Minerva can obviously provide it in many different ways thanks to her good weapon ranks all around on top of decent bases/supports.

Reclass. She has enough speed/durability to survive. Almost every Edit: GOOD character is getting 2 rounded so she is pulling even in durability. She has 21 base AS as a swordmaster and 34 hp/12 defense. Now as a swordmaster she has instant access to the wyrmslayer and the lady sword so lack of silvers doesn't hurt her to badly. Done.
