  1. Maybe I should just wait for offensive versions of the healers which by that time, maybe light magic animations are made or alternatively, since some of the healers can use different weapons, there could be stuff like Great Master Azama -- why do I feel like this could be a FE version of Great Teacher Onizuka? -- and axe-wielding War Cleric Lissa while someone like Libra could have a healer version.
  2. Now I'm starting to wonder what if Assault used the normal damage calculation -- its MT might need to drop a bit or it could be made into a 4* skill that costs 200 SP instead of 50 SP -- and how that would work out. The other, primarily debuff spells like Panic and Pain should stick with current staff damage calculation. Edit: Maybe Absorb could have that change as well. Edit 2: Eh... It could make the other spells pointless since raw damage might be favored over low damage and debuffs which compared to the thieves having decent to high damage and debuffing would really suck.
  3. Eh, same difference. They're still smiting people with divine light. :P
  4. You never know. Est is using a Heavy Lance despite starting out with Armorslayer, Faye is an archer despite not having access to the class in Echoes, Florina has a Heavy Lance of all things and isn't fast, Palla is using a sword when she starts out with a Silver Lance if I recall correctly on her wiki page, Raven is an axe fighter, and then there are the sins known as healer Lachesis and Lucius. Edit: I feel like I understand why I hate Azama's character so much now... Couldn't light mages use Lightning tomes? I swear they could have used them in Blazing Sword. That still works and we could have had light mages use Thunder or rename and Lucius be the Thoron+ blue mage and it would have been fine.
  5. I'm more on the whole I had a terrible time having little to no blues, especially blue mages, and having no other archer other than Virion at the beginning of playing Heroes. So, having more archers and blues and the chance of getting them would be nice.
  6. Add in Artur, Elincia, Guinivere, Libra, Micaiah, and more who will get to join the demoted to healers crew! Please, no. I need more blues. ;_; Anyway, found it; the Awkward Zombie comic that sums up Zephiel's GHB: http://www.awkwardzombie.com/index.php?page=0&comic=050415. Image in spoiler for those of you too lazy to click a link.
  7. Yeah, one of them since none of the characters say more than one of their special lines for entering battles. They'll say one and the usual map pick lines like "Let's go" or something. Seems like a waste for 3 lines to go unused... Healers are sad creatures, especially if they shouldn't have been one in the first place.
  8. I was going to edit this in, but you replied so quickly. On Azama's page on the wiki: http://feheroes.gamepedia.com/Azama/Quotes, these lines are listed as his special lines: “I won’t lose!”“ "Rest in peace.” “Death comes for everyone.” “Here comes your final reward.” He only says the death one for map starts. Otherwise, if he activates his healing specials, he says one of two lines: “Do be careful.” “What to do with you?” Both of which you can hear if you poke him on his character page.
  9. You get their "assist" ones like Serra's "Adore me!" which are basically part of their poke quotes. I don't remember, but I doubt you'd hear Azama scream, "Death comes for everyone!", as he heals you. Seriously, if he did that, I think everyone would just stop, look at him, and slowly back away.
  10. Huh, I just realized this, but since healers cannot inherit any special except for Balms and Miracle, then their special voice lines are completely useless data. You'll only hear Azama say, "Death comes for everyone!", when you start a map and that's it. Maybe in the Training Tower, you can hear them, but still... Maybe we'll get offensive versions of them like a sage Lissa or something...
  11. Hmm, I barely remember his cameo in Blazing Sword, but yeah, worst of conditions to be born in turning what should have been a normal dude into a messed up dude. If and when Guinivere becomes playable, she better be a freaking blue mage or I swear... Man, Lachesis and Lucius could have been awesome units.
  12. Hearing Zephiel talk is both sad and disturbing. He's voiced by Jamieson Price who is credited as Taylor Henry. That means he shares the same voice actor as Hawkeye and Virion and from other games, Lu Bu and Nier. Nier and Drakengard having depressingly messed up settings and stories, I'm reminded of Nier with Zephiel. Sort of a like a broken down Nier who is maddened and disillusioned by everything. Zephiel seems like someone who could have been a good person, but he was born in the worst circumstances. Not sure about Narcian since I don't have him and never played Binding Blade, F!Robin is self-explantory, Ursula's this evil perfectionist, and then there's Michalis who is a dick through and through. I'll poke you as I please. *pointy stick snaps in half by Hauteclare* :p Edit: Heh: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_RSvcUog68. We'll all push you, Michalis.
  13. Oh, duh, the knights have Fortify Res 3. That's why Ursula couldn't ORKO the red mage on the first turn because the red mage is right next to the blue knight unlike the blue mage aka "I'm stupid, so hit me with green magic maybe". Ursula would have needed a minimum of 2 more attack buff, 3 more to whatever non-attack buff, had she been a 5*, or had Blarraven+ as a 4*, she would have been able to ORKO the red mage. I had Selena for Reposition, but she didn't do much other than finish off the axe knight for kicks. Eirika would definitely have given Ursula more than enough buffs to decimate the red mage. Anyway, yeah, pretty easy map. Kind of wished I could have done it without skill inheritance since all 3 Lunatic GHBs I've done required inherited skills; Michalis needed Cherche to have Lancebreaker, Navarre needed Tiki to have Reciprocal Aid and Quick Riposte, and with Zephiel, I had F!Robin inherit Gronnraven+ (and Rally Resistance just because; couldn't afford it, though) and Ursula inherit Blarblade and R Tomebreaker 2. That said, I did intend to get those skills for F!Robin and Ursula anyway and the others were for crucial parts of the strategy; I needed someone to bait and ORKO the lance flyer or I needed to bait and damage the Rogue Dagger thief. Here, I had several units who more or less hard countered or could hard counter with some help against almost all of the units. I say almost, since the red mage was the one that worried me the most. Didn't know who could actually take out the red mage or at least bait and do something that makes red magic less threatening to all of my units. So, strategy-wise, I intended to take out both mages on the first actual turn, the turn before fumbling around positioning everyone even with the help of pre-battle positioning which is awesome, but should have been in the game from the beginning. I didn't know the knights had Fortify Res 3, so that changed things a bit. Since Selena wasn't that useful, I think had I brought in Eirika or someone else, it would have worked and by the second turn, only the knights would have remained which is pretty awesome. Process in spoiler. There is no way I did this in 7 turns. No way. I'm pretty sure I'm missing a few steps since Ursula would have needed to attack 3 more times after the first enemy phase to get Growing Thunder to activate on Zephiel and with the turns I listed and tried to remember, she would have killed Zephiel before that happened. Maybe I hit either the axe or lance knight with both F!Robin and Ursula. I don't remember. That said, this could have been at least 1 turn less if Ursula was able to ORKO the red mage on the first enemy phase for reasons described before. TL;DR: Basically, have a blue and green mage at least ORKO one of the mages and then troll the living hell out of the knights. Speaking of trolling, that second strategy of Mkv. where she brought in a level 1, 3* Zephiel was just stupid. Edit: How the hell did Selena... I swear she took 0 damage from the axe knight. None of other units have Fortify Def, Seal Attack, Threaten Attack, or whatever else that could have... Whatever. If it did happen, then it happened and if it didn't, then it didn't.
  14. It worked, but either I entered the numbers wrong or still don't completely understand how -blade tomes work since Ursula was able to leave the red mage with ~6 HP. She wasn't able to completely trivialize the red mage like F!Robin with Gronnraven+, Hone Attack 3 or any +4 Atk buff, and an Attack Seal was to the blue mage. Selena was able to trivialize the axe knight. It was hilarious. I love my twintailed, redheaded tsundere. About to have dinner, so I'll go through a play-by-play just to think about stuff. Team was lv. 32, 4* Olivia (neutral) with default skills except for an unequipped Knockback, lv. 40, 4* F!Robin with the above mentioned skills and seal, lv. 40, 4* Selena (+Def, -HP) with default skills, and lv. 40, 4* Ursula with Blarblade and R Tomebreaker 2.
  15. Wow, a 4* Ursula with Blarblade, R Tomebreaker, and Hone Attack 3 and its bonus destroys the red mage if the calculator is right -- created a custom character with the red mage's stats and skills. Will need to double-check later. Heh, I can trivialize both mages with F!Robin and Ursula and Zephiel with Oboro. Just gonna cost 22k feathers, a Cecilia, and an Odin...
  16. Cool, hmm, now to figure out the minimum amount I need to ORKO the red mage. And who else I should bring on my team. Olivia should be there. Not sure if I want F!Corrin, Eirika, Oboro, Selena, or Tiki. Maybe Eliwood or Gunter for cavalry buffs.
  17. In a rush, so I should be looking this up somewhere else when I have time, but how exactly is damage added with -blade tomes? I'm fumbling with the idea of giving my 4* Ursula Blarblade and R Tomebreaker 2 to deal with the red mage. F!Robin with Gronnraven+ and an Attack Seal and Olivia or even F!Corrin's Hone Attack 3 should decimate the blue mage. After that, running around trolling the knights.
  18. Oh yeah, Seals are a thing... Welp, I'll need to promote a Cecilia. 22k feathers... ;_; Fair enough, but I'd rather have a tanky anti-armor unit just in case.
  19. Ursula did 7 damage against the red mage and then Sophia got doubled and died. Oh, and 4* F!Robin with Gronnraven+ and Hone Attack 3 leaves the stupid blue mage alive with 1 HP. Guess I'll think about this tomorrow. Also, Hana? Really? The glass cannon against knights? I can understand why the others are part of the banner, but Hana? Freaking Roy isn't even part of the banner and he would have made sense at least plot-wise.
  20. I have a lv. 40, 4* Selena. If she can trivialize Hector, then she could trivialize the axe knight. The mages on the other hand... Yeah... F!Robin could take out the blue mage and blue knight. Ursula with R Tomebreaker might be able to wreck the red mage. Maybe Felicia or that stupid Niles the Mage Hard Counter build could work. Would need to get Quick Riposte on him, though...
  21. I only have a lv. 36, -Atk, +Def, 4* M!Robin and a lv. 40, 4* Ursula. Also, Odin, but yeah... Otherwise, a lv. 40, 4* neutral F!Corrin and a lv. 37 -Atk, +HP Ninian for ghetto blue mages. Aside from Oboro, I have a +Res, -Def Ephraim and quest Est -- Qu'Est? -- as alternative Heavy Lance units. Both are under-leveled and I doubt they would do well against Zephiel because of their (gimped) defense. Ephraim still being slow and still having meh resistance will probably get wrecked by the mages. Oboro, please be the bestest girl you can be for this map. ;_; My other choice is doing a wacky LordFrigid strategy! Somehow, Tiki is going to cheese this map. :P
  22. Hmm... Any lancer with 41 attack and a Heavy Lance can 2HKO Zephiel assuming he is naked and alone -- the knights and mages probably have buffs for him and additional debuffs for us. So, =Atk 5* Abel or +Atk 4* Abel, +Atk Azura, +Atk 5* Catria, =Atk Cordelia, =Atk 4* Donnel, Effie, =Atk Ephraim, =Atk 4* Est, +Atk 5* Gwendolyn, =Atk Hinoka, =Atk Lukas, +Atk 4* Oboro, =Atk 5* or +Atk 4* Peri, and +Atk 5* Shanna all meet this without any buffs as their base attack would be at least 33 and Heavy Lance fulfills the remaining 8 needed. Does not guarantee any of them will actually live fighting against or even make it to Zephiel. Abel with a Heavy Lance could probably cheese Zephiel since he has Swordbreaker which cancels out sword-wielding Zephiel's Wary Fighter and even with -Spd as a +Atk, -Spd 4* Abel, he's still fast enough to double Zephiel. Also, of those units, only Ephraim, Est, and Oboro have Heavy Lance as a default weapon. The safest route would probably be Ephraim since he is bulky and would be a 5* regardless, but keep him away from the axe knight and the mages. Also, you'd be sacrificing his Siegmund's +3 Atk to adjacent allies for this and with Siegmund, he'd only be able to do 27 damage on Zephiel. 3HKO where Ephraim assuming =Def, Ephraim will take 14 damage for the first time before taking 18 damage after each battle he's near Zephiel because of Ekesach's -4 Def effect which a vanilla Ephraim would inflict as well because of Seal Defense and Threaten Defense -- why does he have both again? Assuming =HP, Ephraim will be at 13 HP after two rounds with Zephiel. Plan it out right and at least by the third round, Ephraim will come out winning. If you didn't, RIP. If you have T-Adept 3, the lancer only needs 36 attack with a Heavy Lance which is fairly doable; anyone with at least a base attack of 28. If you only have T-Adept 2 or 1, then 37 attack with a Heavy Lance. T-Adept also lowers the damage Zephiel inflicts making it much safer. Man, I really should stop procrastinating... Also, I hope I did the calculations right, because if I didn't, then I would be spreading misinformation.
  23. @BANRYU, okay and understandable. For me, Est was the first flyer I got alongside Subaki on my first file. Est was pretty good all things considered while Subaki was just there. My first flyer on this file, -Atk, +Spd Subaki, will forever be a sin, though. I've been burnt on Barst, Frederick -- +Res, -HP sucked --, M!Robin, Roy -- previous file, possibly -Def --, Sophia, and Subaki. Also, Alfonse, but I pretend he doesn't exist, so whatever. Of those units, only Frederick and Subaki shifted from, "I know you got screwed in bane/boon, but I still don't like you", to "Pretty good." I'm ambivalent about Barst. I like his art and design, but as a unit, I feel like I can get more mileage from Raven. Still unfair since the redeeming Barst is a 3*, the crap Barst was a 4*, and I have 4* and 5* Ravens. Basically, I'm at a point where if I know a unit doesn't have that great of skills or is screwed by -Atk or whatever crappy bane, I know that skill inheritance can improve them or in the case of stats, a future one can at least be neutral and be a better unit. Skill inheritance is the biggest player since you can ignore all the skills you don't want for a unit and grab the ones you want. At the very least, you can load them up with SP, plan out a build, and inherit planned skills as much as possible. Also, Florina should have whatever niche she can have instead of Est taking up a similar role. Clair probably should be the Sapphire Lance mage killer, Florina the Silver Lance one or Sapphire Lance too, Est the Brave Lance one, and Shanna the obligatory Killer Lance one. Quite curious as what a good build for Florina would be. And to @DehNutCase, I feel like Est should be more of a magic resistant Brave Lance flyer who can do similar things as Cordelia and Hinoka, but trades physical durability to also be able to bait mages more safely. That's a decent niche even if the main thing people see is Est as a poor man's Cordelia. So, yeah, Est should go the route of Cordelia and Hinoka, but she still has a strength the others don't. Now we wait for a similar blue flyer who has 33-ish defense, 20-ish resistance and pretty much the same stats as the others. Cormag? His stat growths are the same as Raven's in their home games and Raven was made into this kind of glass cannon Brave Axe user. Cormag being a wyvern rider would have obligatory decent to high defense and low resistance, so I guess that works... Heh, maybe he could have 38 base attack. Anyway, I digress. Also, whoa, that Niles build. -Spd doesn't really hurt him if all he's doing is countering people with Quick Riposte. But great, more units who want Quick Riposte. Come on, man, I only have 2 Subakis left. At least Fury 3 is plentiful. Hmm, if there was a Killer Dagger, I wonder if Felicia could pull off a similar build. Probably not since her base attack is lower and a Killer Dagger would have crap MT to begin with. And I checked since I was curious; Rebecca can pull off the same build if she's +Atk and nobody fighting her has Fury. Against everyone with Fury 3, she adds F!Robin as a draw and Linde as a loss if Rebecca has -Spd. Problem is that's encroaching on someone else's niche, relegates her to being an inferior Niles, and is expensive since you'd have to get 2 skills Niles has by default. Still neat.
  24. Lunge moves your unit forward and puts the enemy in your unit's previous position. I think Thany is talking about a unit using an assist on an ally. Specifically, the red mage hits a unit and the blue knight Repositions the red mage behind him. Draw Back can work too, but then both units would move back with the red mage in front and the blue knight behind which would trap the blue knight in a corner which would suck for him.
