  1. Dear Naga... That power... I love that too, but it makes my indecisiveness go outta of whack. As Azama would say, "What to do with you?" Waiting for the days when Bow Knight Selena, Pegasus Knight Severa, mage Severa/Selena, and why not, an axe-wielding Great Knight, Hero, Wyvern Lord, whatever Selena are added. Twintail tsundere terror team! :p Would it even be legal for Selena to keep her stats as a mounted archer? Faye has 154 BST while the others have 147 to 148, but this was before the arena update and mounted mages have 144 to 145 BST while cavaliers range from 150 to 155 BST except for poor ol' Jagen with 148 BST. They would probably deduct 2-3 points from defense to match Bow Knights having lower defense caps than Heroes and maybe drop her speed down to 30-ish putting her around 150 BST -- have no idea where the other 5 will come from. Main thing is her attack would still be low, but then again, Horse Emblem can probably help her ignore that.
  2. Letting him take damage to use his health pool for Reprisal seems neat, though. Still risky.
  3. So, question, of these 3 choices which would you pick: keep and get Zephiel's Life & Death 3, give him Attack 3, or Fury 3? Just checking defense wins, noticed I managed a second one with my ragtag team, and the leader was a 5* Zephiel with Eckesachs, Attack +3, Wary Fighter 3, and Threaten Attack 1. Swap and Bonfire are listed as unlearned skills. Retribution is learned, Reprisal is unlearned, and Life & Death is completely ignored. Someone was not happy with Zephiel's Life & Death. I get what they're trying to do, but Fury 3 might have been a better option and with the x1.5 cost of inherited skills, they might have been better off getting at least L&D1, Swap, and Threaten Attack 3 if possible rather than Attack 3. Something also makes me think this was a 4* Zephiel and not a 3* since they could have amassed enough SP going from 3* to 5* to get more than the skills they got. Lv. 35 Zephiel, though... I've a feeling either M!Corrin or Oboro killed him. And then there's Selena with Armorslayer and F!Robin being a mage. Yeah...
  4. I meant that because Gordin's slower, magic is even scarier for him compared to the other archers who are faster or have high resistance in Faye's case. Anyway, got curious when I realized that Faye's BST is the highest out of the archers now at 154 compared to Gordin, Klein, Rebecca, and Takumi having 148 BST. So, I wondered about how she'd work as a mage counter considering her higher attack and slightly lower resistance compared to Niles. Faye and Niles with Killer Bow+, Iceberg, Fury 3, and Quick Riposte vs. everyone with Fury 3. Details in spoiler. Edit: I wait for the day when a bow knight version of Selena is made available. She would be the overall tankiest mounted archer ever at the cost of probably having the lowest attack -- tied or even lower than Niles. Cavalry buffs, though. :p
  5. Huh, that works. Only problem would be mages. I find it hilarious that Gordin and Virion basically want to swap bows.
  6. Got curious, but should Gordin continue to run his default Brave Bow set or is there a different, hopefully better build for him? I ask since if you give Virion a Brave Bow, he is always 3-4 wins ahead of Gordin. Brave weapons being a player phase thing, Virion's higher base speed can let him double units that Gordin can't to finish off the job and prevent him from getting doubled. Yes, it's more expensive for an ideal build, but it seems that if you want a simple Brave Bow user and you don't have Klein, a 3* to 4* Virion with a Brave Bow might be better than a 3* to 4* Gordin. I tried having Gordin run a physical version of Niles the Mage Killer, so, Killer Bow, Bonfire, Fury 3, and Quick Riposte. Kind of works, but the other archers, mages, thieves, and certain units with Distant Counter can probably do that too with their own builds to counter-kill.
  7. 50% of 32 vs. 50% of 23. That's not that difficult... Whatever... It's like that Klein that inherited 10 to 20-some skills for some reason that I saw during the previous gauntlet. Some of the skills made no sense at all like equipping Glowing Ember. Same cooldown as Glacies, but using Klein's lower defense and 50% of it instead of 80%. And then there was the images of a Hector with Quick Riposte and another with Pass. Pass should be illegal on knights even in the most situational of cases like, hey, if you Smite the knight with Pass, they'll fly behind the enemy which you could have just used Lunge to emulate that -- I don't even know if that Smite and Pass thing even works. Still, that's a bad idea and Iceberg could have gone to their other unit with high resistance over Marth who has average resistance. Or, they could have just waited. Eh, whatever.
  8. Y'know, I'm really curious as to why people give units Bonfire or Iceberg when the opposite stat is the higher one. Are people that bad at math or something? Even in a situation where they lack the skill to give them, giving skills just to fill in slots is a pretty bad idea since once you get the skill you need, well, time to grind more SP I suppose. This is coming from checking my defense win and seeing a +Def, -HP Marth with Iceberg. Yeah, that additional 11 damage is great compared to 16 from Bonfire. Also, I have no idea how my defense team is even winning anything.
  9. Would Distant Counter be good on Sharena? A friend just spent 40 bucks trying to get another Hector to give her that which made me question that. He didn't get another Hector if anyone is wondering. Going through @eclipse's 4 qualities to look for on a C/D Counter user: https://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?/topic/70033-skill-inheritance-discussion/&do=findComment&comment=4767164, and I'm not so sure. Also, for me, Vantage on Sharena? Or would I be better off giving her some other skill like Lance- or Swordbreaker? Man, 5* Sharena has 29 def while 4* has 26... Meh.
  10. If only I had Henry, Julia, Leo, or Tharja... If Merric had his stupid hat, then I might join him for kicks and F!Robin can't be part of this for obvious reasons. Meanwhile, Odin. Now that I think of it, I've only joined 2 teams where I had them in my army: Cherche and Sharena. Didn't join Alfonse, Beruka, Lucina or Subaki's team.
  11. Update, I guess. 10 at the moment; had 11. Additions would be Ephraim (+Res, -Def), Jaffar (+Spd, -Atk), and Titania (+Res, -Atk) who was summoned during the World of Radiance banner. Also, the shortest-lived 5*, a Cecilia (+Res, -Def) who promptly was used to pass down Gronnraven+ to F!Robin so I could destroy the blue mage for Lunatic Zephiel. 22k feathers was totally worth it to watch that happen. :p
  12. That's weird, would the stat differences between a 3* Navarre and a 4* Navarre really change that? Have you tried downgrading him to Desperation 1 and Threaten Speed 2? Also, Blazing Wind to Rising Wind? Maybe the units are worried that if he can drop their speed by 5, then they can't double anyone else and that with Desperation 2, if they get him down to half health, he can double immediately which could be bad for the axe fighter unlike if they had to get him down to 25% health. Then again, I had a similar problem with the Lunatic 9-5 deathless quest where the only difference between my units and Iris, who helped me with the quest, was that Lucina had a different boon/bane than hers and Raven was a 5* instead of a 4* with +Res, -Def. That's it. If anything, I'd expected Xander and the sword unit to go towards Raven because of his lower than normal defense. Beat it after moving Ursula behind Olivia, but I don't know. Sometimes you can substitute a unit who is really different like a flyer for a cavalier and still have the same strategy work, or a 4* for a 5* and other times, you have the same units down to their boons and banes and the same positioning, but things change slightly ruining everything. Have you checked Mkv.'s video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2k6i86JQr7w, for ideas? nstyler also has one that was mentioned earlier in this thread: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6agaZ5qYXWE. Otherwise, you might want to post your units, so people can help you figure out a team and strategy.
  13. Oh, kind of had a feeling that you would have done that. Thanks, for that. Cool that she could do that, but QR is scarce at the moment and she has Guard which is kind of untested at the moment. Maybe it would better for her to keep her niche to see how it goes before changing everything which I would probably do if I ever summon another Titania with at least =Atk. Eh, maybe I shouldn't do this -- tagging people into random conversations, that is --, @Rezzy and @Chromatone, scroll up a bit above DehNutCase's response to my response and there's a section on Titania that may help you guys on what to do with Titania. Also, if I remember your posts in the pull thread, Rezzy, does that mean our Titania share the same boon/bane?
  14. If you're going for a tanking build for Subaki, then why are you getting rid of his default Quick Riposte and giving him Armored Blow which only works if he's attacking? You'd be better off giving him Attack +3 to make his hits stronger, Defense +3 to make him even tankier, or Fury to increase everything at the cost of damage after every battle which could drop him below Quick Riposte's range if you take too long. Subaki's Quick Riposte lets him counter any melee unit if they hit him regardless of they're faster than him or not. So, if they hit him twice, he hits back twice and if he's faster, then they hit once, he hits twice. Swordbreaker would be similar, except it would be limited to sword units and prevents them from following up. By default, Subaki's skills are already geared towards tanking. Yes, he's fast enough to double units naturally, but he can just be a passive wall, especially to sword units. All he really needs is a special like Bonfire that uses his high defense stat, perhaps Killer Lance if you want to activate Bonfire after every battle, and of course, a different A-skill, and a C-skill which depends on what you want him to support.
  15. Hmm, I could just give it to him and eventually get it whenever I promote him to a 5* which is going to be a long time since there's so many reds and other units in general I'd rather use and invest in than him. Yeah, it helps, but it kind of sucks for Anna that she's locked out of Vantage 3 until she's a 5*. Meanwhile, a 4* Lon'qu can take a bit of damage and Vantage 3 can dictate matches. Probably shouldn't go on a Brave weapon user who would want Desperation instead. Wasn't there something about Kagero wanting Vantage -- might be remembering wrong and it was just someone asking how Vantage would work for her. Similar case could be made for Gaius and Jaffar Of the units I have and can think of, Est if she weren't using Brave Lance, Fir -- Pass isn't really helpful on her --, a non-Brave Sword using Hana, Lucina if she weren't running a Life & Death and Desperation build, Navarre, but dude has Desperation already, and Sharena, but she might prefer having a -breaker skill. Could see Peri being a good user of Vantage. Y'know, this just made me realize that I have a lot of tanky units. Haven't used her yet since I was preoccupied with leveling and beating the GHB quests, but looking at her stats, I would have wanted to counter-kill similar to what Arthur can do against blues. Not confident with that since she's -Atk, so probably just gonna have her hard wall for now. I'll eventually get another Titania who I could just respec with different skills and merge this one and with every new unit, I try to commit to them just because I like seeing units get stronger and it's a pretty good way to have an arsenal of options. Welp, Glacies it is then. Wait, it's 1 orb? How the hell did I think it was 5 orbs? Man, I could have used the daily orbs to... Still, I'm sitting at 152 with 1 more, F!Robin, coming along because of the GHB quest and it would be just nicer to not have a ton of units who are just there. Edit: I think I was remembering castle upgrades which become increasingly expensive, but well worth it, and applying it to the cost of the barracks expansion.
  16. FINALLY! I beat Navarre vs. Navarre while F!Robin tags a long using Mkv's strategy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-Pu6ijtwIM. Finally part is more of having to train Donnel, Navarre, and Olivia. Was a bit worried that because Olivia and F!Robin were 4*, the AI would react differently, but nope, same thing happened except I used Olivia to KO the axe fighter -- she's level 39, so why not, more exp --, F!Robin did more damage on the axe fighter, and Navarre only finished off the cleric and himself. I did drop Olivia's Moonbow and reequipped her Silver Sword -- Ruby Sword plus Moonbow is pretty good on Olivia -- and as the strategy showed, had to drop her Hone Attack 3 so Donnel wouldn't accidentally kill Navarre and F!Robin had to drop back to Gronnwolf since Gronnraven+ probably would have made the colorless units go away from her which would have screwed everything over. Didn't have to promote Navarre or Donnel or fuss about the fact +Atk, -Res 4* Subaki would have killed Navarre if he had Hone Attack 3. That leaves the F!Robin quests of using Navarre. That should be easy... I hope. Just gotta make sure he kills F!Robin, doesn't die to the lance fighter, and nobody else dies. Random bit: F!Robin's "Naruhodo" is really cute.
  17. Would a 4* Alfonse be able to make good use of Brash Assault? I remember @DehNutCase talking about how Alfonse could be one of the better users of Brash Assault and Folkvangr's innate Defiant Attack 2 being very helpful. Don't really know what to do with the spare Bartres who can give a full set of Brash Assault other than give it to Lyn, but I don't have her, or give it to other slow, bulky units similar to the default users Bartre and Hinata. I guess some of the knights could work, but it's probably better if they run Quick Riposte instead as a knight low on health is probably going to be screwed if they can't reach their target. Another problem is that unlike the other units, you can't use a duplicate to grind stuff, so I've been holding off on inheriting anything for Alfonse, Anna, and Sharena. I could just give him the skills and not learn it... Also, 2 quick questions: ideal users of Vantage? Typical glass cannons, sure, and apparently, Ryoma, but can't really think of someone who'd really want it exactly. Great skill, but there's definitely ideal users out there. And Iceberg or Glacies for Titania? Iceberg is more practical, but my Titania got screwed with -Atk, +Res basically giving her attack under Caeda, Clair, and Fir, -- she caps at 24 attack while =Atk Caeda and Fir cap at 25 and Clair at 26 -- so Glacies could be a great boost to her attack. That 4* Fir is just chilling there while I'd have to spend 2k feathers to get either Niles or Shanna promoted. If and when I ever get another Titania with at least =Atk, I'm just going to dump this one onto her to get all the skills, so I could just replace Glacies with Iceberg. I really need to make space... Just trying to get rid of as many units as I can in a useful way other than bits and pieces of feathers.
  18. Give her Iceberg or Glacies. =Res Titania has 30 resistance. I'm thinking of her like Caeda, Clair, Fir, or Shanna. Especially the first three since I got screwed with a -Atk, +Res Titania... GAME!!! Brave Axe might not be ideal unless she's at least =Atk giving her 28 attack or better yet, +Atk giving her 31 attack, and while her defense is all right, it's not like Cherche or Frederick who can tank a hit if needed or even Camilla with her 28 neutral defense.
  19. I just hate -Atk. It is the worst! I still like the characters, but it's annoying as all hell when Barst, Cherche, Jaffar, Lon'qu, Ninian, Raven, Rebecca, M!Robin, Setsuna, Sophia, Subaki, and Titania all had -Atk on their first and, excluding Barst, Lon'qu, Raven, Sophia, and Subaki, only summon. I guess I'll make Titania into an axe horse Caeda... Iceberg or Glacies... Iceberg or Glacies... Glacies is easier since I don't have to promote a Niles or Shanna who have other skills I'd want like Desperation from Shanna.
  20. His page has his stat variations listed: http://feheroes.gamepedia.com/Ike. Seems to be +HP, -Res.
  21. 24 base attack on a -Atk Titania... Flashbacks of using 3* Subaki with -Atk. *shudders* +Res does not make up for the crap that is -Atk and it's been on 4 units I've wanted for 3 straight summons: Jaffar, Rebecca, Setsuna, and Titania. She could have had 28 base attack... Now she's basically a mounted Fir, but without a special. Should definitely give her Iceberg, but I can't really spare Niles or Shanna while that spare 4* Fir's been sitting there for ages -- pretty sure that Fir has -Atk making it even worse for her. Please be a 4* in the future, please be a 4*. She won't, Mist and Soren will be...
  22. I got who I wanted: Titania, and on the first green summon too. But the game screwed me over by giving her -Atk, +Res. Her neutral attack is 28; attack bane gives her 24 attack. The last time I used a gem weapon user with -Atk was a 3* Subaki and it was freaking horrible. -Atk 5* Subaki would have 23 base attack. Emerald Axe+ is going to do the bulk of the work now... Man, she has the same boon/bane as my only Cherche... I don't think I want to summon again because of space issues. Usually it's 2 per banner, but now I'm going with 1 per banner until I can get rid of 40-ish units.
  23. Cool. It's just weird that she just mysteriously disappeared after her banner. I feel like she should have been the one that was given a 4* summon rather than Reinhardt. Olwen's base speed is high enough that she would still be pretty good, but obviously not at her full potential, without Dire Thunder while Reinhardt seems crippled. Yes, he hits hard and he has decent defenses, but he isn't super bulky to defense or resistance like Frederick and he doesn't as hard as Sanaki. I feel like it's a Gordin situation where let's say Brave weapons were 5*-only. Well, Klein could function without a Brave Bow because his speed is pretty decent letting him double. On the other hand, Gordin gets screwed since his attack is the same as Klein's, but his speed is lower.
  24. They should put in Olwen instead so she'll have her chance to shine. :p Dear lord, Olwen's stat spread looks bad and she has Dire Thunder with... 26 neutral attack. Really? Couldn't she have at least 2 more points to her base attack? 28 would be fine. Just deduct some points from her defense and resistance. Oh, yeah, Lloyd's up next after Xander. RIP Lloyd, another victim of Reinhardt.
  25. You could just give her Blarblade from Odin -- Ursula's one of the best users of Blarblade because of cavalry buffs. With Fortify and Hone Cavalry, you're looking at +24 damage added after Ursula's Death Blow 2 (+4 attack) and +6 attack from Hone Cavalry. If I did the math right, then Ursula would be able to do 82 damage. 26 base attack + 9 Blarblade + 4 Death Blow + 6 Fortify Cavalry + 4 Goad Cavalry = 49 damage. 49 + (49 x 0.2) + 24 (Fortify and Hone Cavalry; Goad Cavalry does not count as it's a Spur buff) = 82 damage. Blarwolf would also do 82 damage with Fortify and Goad Cavalry, but only to red cavalry units. Against non-cavalry red units, you're looking at 55 damage which is still pretty respectable. We've yet to have a Lunatic GHB or enemy unit with 82 HP. The highest so far is Zephiel with 78 HP. Let's use it as the worst case scenario. If Xander had 78 HP, he'd need 5 resistance to survive. No playable unit has that low of a resistance unless they're low leveled -- Bartre, Ogma, and Virion with -Res still have 10 Res as 5* units and as 3* units they will have 8 Res if -Res -- and Xander's normal resistance is supposedly 17. Let's say his resistance was 19 for the Lunatic difficulty. He'd need 64 HP to survive. That is pretty reasonable and if there are any cavaliers on the map and they have either Fortify and/or Ward Cavalry, then yeah, don't try to one-shot Xander with Ursula, especially if he has Quick Riposte. I think 5* Reinhardt will have an easier time because of Dire Thunder. A -Atk 5* Reinhardt can do 33x2 with just Fortify Cavalry against a Xander with 19 resistance. That's 2 over the minimum to kill him if Xander has 64 HP. People run Death Blow on Reinhardt like other Brave weapon users and on a cavalry team, so it's probably easier to just cheese Xander with him than with Ursula.
