  1. Okay, just remembered something with Lloyd. He reminds me a bit of Nicolas in Gangsta. I really want to get Lloyd now just to see who the artist is. I wonder if Jaffar would make sense for Lloyd's banner. Eliwood, Jaffar, Hector, and Nino have battle conversations with him. Oh, and Legault who isn't in. Uncle Legault, when?
  2. So many units, Felicia, Lissa, Sakura, and young Tiki's makes me sad too. Michalis's is sadder for me when I associate it with Michalis trying to redeem himself by doing what he can for Maria after whatever happens in Shadow Dragon. On the other hand, Eldigan, Lon'qu, Raven, and all of Yamada Akihiro's critical health art, especially Gunter and Jagen's are my favorite. Eldigan's fang makes him look angry and like a cornered lion, Lon'qu looks calm despite facing death, Raven looks livid, and Yamada's all have this quality of defiance. And then there's Spring Lucina looking clueless like, "Did I get hit?" Yes, honey bun, you're almost dead, so please stay awa- dammit. Lloyd's art... I don't know what, but it reminds me of several things: DmC: Devil May Cry Dante, Persona 3, and something else. The style and coloring, especially when looking at his face, reminds me of peculiar art styles in certain games, comics, and manga. But Ephraim needs to rip and tear! RIP AND TEAR! DEATH TO ALL SWORD LORDS! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
  3. Welp, time to add Genny to the list of units who make me sad when I see their critical health art. Let's see, Fir, Gaius, Genny, and Linde. Er... Fae too I guess since she's like a kid... in a lot of pain. Yeah... I need Mae. She looks so... tsundere-ish. :p
  4. Huh, weird... I wonder why this is the case. Speaking of weird stuff, someone on team Julia gave a +Def, -Spd Lukas Desperation. I'm just going to give them the benefit of the doubt that they think Desperation works regardless if you could have doubled or not. And then the opposite happened with a +Spd, -Def Spring Chrom with Brash Assault. Y'know, it's really curious as to why-- Update data has been found? Edit: Oh, right, Path of Radiance banner ends tomorrow, so, maybe it's for the new banner? Anyway, curious as to why they gave their units those skills. Part of me feels snobbish criticizing them.
  5. Besides Caeda? No. Your current options of red fliers are a high speed, high resistance Caeda who can only be summoned as a 4* or 5* or a jack of all trades Palla whose default weapons makes her very specific against greens. Until Heroes get another sword flyer or a red mage flyer like Aversa, you're stuck with those two.
  6. Weird... Is Tharja's HP bugged? A friend just asked why a newly summoned Tharja's HP is showing up as green. Don't know if this was after merging new Tharja with old Tharja Apparently it happened to a couple other people if 2 results of gamefaqs are to be believed. Well, one has evidence. +10 merged units don't have any of their stats shown as green, so... maybe Tharja is broken? :p
  7. I was just emphasizing that Ephraim had everything to make Marth into a squishy meatbag for him to thrust his mighty Siegmund through. Still curious why he has both of those skills. I can understand why he has them i.e. Seal Def can help him duel against units and Threaten Def can help him and his allies deal more damage, but not why he has both of them. I owe a lot to Ephraim being able to tank stuff on the lower bottom part of defense map part 5 using the defense tiles. Gunter was my main concern, but I ended up being able to box him in after killing Klein with Lucina who with another turn from Olivia and on enemy phase, was able to kill Gunter. So, whatever, everyone else was manageable. Linde just nuked stuff that I needed nuked, especially if they were baited by Ephraim.
  8. There's that too, but hey, at least he isn't Lachesis and Lucius who needs a B-skill to be like the powerful light mages they were. Except attack ended up being stronger. The Ephraim I have being -Def explains part of this, but it still annoys me that because Ephraim and Oboro have average to slow speed, they can end up taking more damage from sword units, especially sword lords, because those units either hit hard or hit hard and fast. Pissed me off seeing a Marth in training tower do 14x2 to a level 38-39 Ephraim while Ephraim did like 22 damage to Marth. Sure as hell glad defense tiles are a thing now and that Ephraim has Seal Defense, Threaten Defense, and Moonbow to wreck Marth. Oboro on the other hand... When you're a blue and you lose to reds including the physical ones that you supposedly have high defense to make trivial, it's really sad and frustrating. 3* Oboro was miserable in that regard, especially -Atk, inherit skill stocker Oboro while 4* Oboro, especially with Bonfire, was much better. I can understand blues with really low defense having issues with physical reds, but come on, -Def Ephraim still has respectable defense. It only works in battle? Huh, guess I missed that part... Wait, that's weird, then it's a hybrid of a Defiant skill since those activate at <= 50% HP and a self-Spur... thing... I don't know what to call Binding Blade, Naga, and Tyrfing's in-battle self-buffing skills.
  9. I meant as in buffing someone else like you can't just give someone else +7 to a stat unless their stat was sfealed and you used Harsh Command. Speaking of Defiant skills, it's really weird how Seliph's Tyrfing only gives +4 to his defense rather than +5 like how Alfonse's Folksvangr gives +5 to attack. Most personal weapons excluding Hauteclere and Mystletainn -- technically Killer weapons with +5 to attack -- have a second level skill attached to them and some have a third level skill like Sol Katti and I guess all of the Distant Counter weapos, but Seliph's is a first and half level skill. 1 more defense might not be much, but it's weird that Tyrfing is the only one with a skill that's below the "usual".
  10. Wait... then is it only possible for someone to get +7 to a stat is through Seal *insert stat here* and using Harsh Command afterward? Great, well, what to do with Gaius's assist skill now... Maybe I should use another Matthew to give him Reciprocal Aid. And suddenly, Gaius became Matthew, but with much worse defenses and a Silver Dagger.
  11. Aww, that sucks. You can't have someone buff a unit's stats over 7 and have it cap at 7. Well, Gaius can only give people +4 speed now if I keep Hone Speed 3 on with Rally Speed which becomes a bit useless if people are around him when my turn starts. Otherwise, I could give someone +7 speed and people around him +3 speed with Hone Speed 2 and Rally Speed. Welp, guess I'll have to find a different assist for him or I should have given him something else like Fortify Def or Res instead of Hone Speed.
  12. Lyn with Desperation 3 and Ike, Ryoma, and Xander with Distant Counter, though. :p
  13. Some dude on team Julia gave Soren Pass. I'm not sure how good or bad Watersweep is, but really? Pass? The only effective use of Pass I've seen was on a cavalier in training room. Gunter with Pass laughs at units including sword units who can't muscle pass his defense letting him gallop on through to chop up some poor schmuck behind. One day, a GHB is going to have a cavalier unit with Pass you have to either kill immediately or isolate him. Otherwise, you'll risk him charging through and killing someone in the back. Brave Weapon+, Death Blow, and Pass. What a nightmare it could be. Pass on other units I don't see being useful outside of enemy-specific reasons like a mage with Pass slipping by and pelting someone with low resistance to death. Player-wise, cavaliers with their 3 movement are probably the most useful, but then again, there are other more versatile B-skills.
  14. Does she have Blarblade? If so, Moonbow if you really need her to activate it. If not and/or you don't need her to activate a special, Draconic Aura or Dragon Fang since they use her high attack. Iceberg and Glacies can work, but her resistance won't be in the 30's unless she gets a resistance boost or she's +Res which wouldn't matter of you're running Life and Death on her since it would drop her defense and resistance. If Linde consistently doubles everyone she's supposed to be fighting, then they're likely dead regardless of her special. Dragon Fang could allow her to go against greens and high resistance blues by giving her a larger damage boost than Dragonic Aura, but this comes at a cost of being a 4 cooldown. Edit: Forgot to ask: what is her boon/bane?
  15. Y'know, the only time I've double-posted here was when I clicked submit reply twice because it looked like it was taking way too long to load, so to reconfirm it again. I have no idea how people are double-posting so much. Ya'll must be impatient or something. :p
  16. What if they truly deserve it? Could you not hate someone who was written to be irredeemable and unsympathetic as possible?
  17. One last battle as I wait for Linde's defeat -- 24 minutes left and there's a 30 minute period between matches. None of my friends -- I think none of them -- joined Linde, so I was stuck with randoms and couldn't cheese matches with their units. Still cheesed them with a level 1 5* Linde. :p For some reason, I was matched up with someone twice who unequipped a 3* Jagen's Steel Lance. I swear it was the same one since he was +Atk, -Def. Someone on team Tharja must really hate their friends or Jagen. Probably going to join Julia if she wins since I like pretending Edea is in the game. If only I had her. I would be more useful for M!Robin since I have a M!Robin, but I like Julia (and F!Robin) more.
  18. But I don't have Caeda, Hinoka, or Minerva for their flyer skills. Everyone will be glass cannons with Goad Flyers... Well, except Michalis, Subaki, and kind of Catria.
  19. C-skills bother me since they're all useful and good and I don't really know what to give someone if they don't have one. It makes me really indecisive.
  20. Y'know, I'm starting to wonder if giving Gaius Hone Speed was a bad idea. Ugh... C-skills. So versatile, so many... Silver Dagger, though, was a great decision.
  21. @BANRYU, isn't Threaten Def Raven's default C-skill or are you planning on giving him Threaten Speed?
  22. 1. Can't see the knights using rallies much or the Shove and Smite skills, but I guess I could try to get both Pivot and Swap for them. 2. Yeah, that's the thing, but Eldigan and Xander seem better as offensive-defensive or defensive-offensive units, especially since Eldigan has a 16 MT Killing Edge and Xander has Siegfried's built-in Distant Counter and very high defense letting them be mean users of the Walls of Fire and Sharp Things. Stahl seems more like a defensive-defensive unit. Swordbreaker would be nice if I had a spare Abel or an Abel to begin with. I guess I could train up that 3* Sully for Swordbreaker 2, but then I'd have to use an Abel or a 5* Sully to get Swordbreaker 3... Meh. Personally, I want to use +Def Stahl since he'd have higher defense and a niche since I already have a Cain, well, 3 of them with one having +Atk, -Spd, so I already have a Brave Sword cavalier. +Def Stahl could function as a hard check to greens, but only physical ones since he'd still have not so great resistance. Maybe Guard will be a 4* giveable skill. Obstruct is still cool, though, given the fact defensive tiles exist now allowing Stahl to sit there and be fat. :p 3. I meant should I give Spur Def and Ward Armor to Zephiel since there's a spare 4* Draug sitting around or should I give him some other skill instead? I've seen someone mention Threaten Attack, but Ward Armor seems really useful if I ever make an all-armor team and knights generally stay close to other units, so he could always help someone out by boosting their defense in combat and if he were a 5*, lower the enemy's defense. I guess the slash might have made it confusing on what I meant. I don't even have Sheena. I hope a 3* to 4* summonable axe knight is added to the roster some day. Yes, Effie hits hard and can fight blues, but it'd be nice to have a green knight knowing they'd be effective against blues. And no worries about the late response. I did ask late at night and I've noticed activity here dies around midnight central time which is weird since there are international users on here. Nevertheless, thank you.
  23. Swimsuit banners? Hmm... Garon in a fundoshi with a wooden makeshift fishing spear would be as eye-pleasing as Heihachi in a fundoshi. *eyes start to bleed from imagining this*
  24. Same voice actress. She pretty much uses the same voice which I guess might be her normal voice like how Nolan North's normal voice is Deadpool, Desmond Miles, Nathan Drake, and a ton of other characters -- the ones where he is allowed to use his range, though, are amazing --, but with a different tone from the snippets I've heard of Julia talking. I want my Anna to be different. :p No, not really, but T-Adept could help her out against physical blues since her defense is... lacking. Couldn't find it, but I swear the post mentioning T-Adept was by Ice Dragon. Wait... I didn't search "anna, TA". Edit: Nope, can't find it. @Ice Dragon, did you ever make a post about Anna with T-Adept?
  25. Those fell out of favor. Seeing your avatar makes me wish I had Julia. Also, should probably finish Bravely Second. On another note, annoyed that I have so many freaking units and the ones I'd like to focus on or have a ton of SP either I have no idea what I want to do with them or don't have them or units with skills for them. Gee, I wonder what I should do with Virion's almost 1k SP? Man, I sure love it if I had a Brave Bow to give him. Hone Speed on Virion would be kind of stupid since default Seal Speed and all... Would it? Kind of don't want to since Setsuna inherited Hone Speed from a 4* Matthew, so maybe Virion should have Fortify Def or something. I need to get rid of units and there's another 4* Matthew just sitting there. ARGH!!! Oh, just remembered, something. T-Adept on Anna. I swear Ice Dragon mentioned it somewhere.
