  1. -Atk 3* Subaki is even more disgusting. And then there's -Atk Jaffar, Rebecca, and Setsuna... At least I got a different Setsuna... who's -Spd. Game, why... Still gonna level them up, so I can dump them into different versions. -Atk, +Res 5* Titania can at least be a blue wall who stops people from charging their special while she charges Glacies. Having access to Emerald Axe+ helps too.
  2. That art of Lute? I remember seeing it on Safebooru and it's listed as having been there for 3 months already and its source links to the artist's Twitter post: https://mobile.twitter.com/25mnts/status/828169280197840896. So, it's probably just fan art. That said, it's possible the developers would allow artists to subtly hint they are working on something. So, who knows, maybe someone made amazing fan art of Wallace and that ends up being revealed as his official art for Heroes.
  3. Okay, never mind then. Dude got all the skills for Lucina. That's a lot of SP grinding... I'm ~400 SP from getting Aether which for me is a lot when all that stamina could be used for the other untrained units. Anyway, I view Klein as the biggest threat followed by either Julia, Sanaki, and then Hector. That's just me since Trial 1 reminded me that I still don't have a reliable Takumi or archer counter. You could try having someone with a Brave weapon to damage him for someone else to finish off which is how Mkv got rid of Klein. Having Drag Back can help move him and your units if needed. Just make sure Klein can move with your unit. Itchybackside and yorotsruuu yorotsruuu baited Julia with Felicia allowing Palla to use Wings of Mercy to take out Julia and had Lloyd 2HKO Klein with Olivia's help. Itchybackside's video: https://youtu.be/S-mij1mi7QA?t=524. yorotsruuu yorotsruuu's: https://youtu.be/r-zvwJ_-Miw?t=407. Just saw nstyler's video. She had 4* Hana kill everything: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjMpIG4Kf_0, with 2 Olivias', one 3* and one 4*, help and 3* Matthew's Hone Speed 2. Neutral 4* Hana with L&D2 has 38 speed which is more than enough to double Julia (30), Klein (32), and Hector (28). She can't double Sanaki without having at least 40 speed which Hone Speed 2 puts her over at 41 speed.
  4. Y'know, I can never remember the AOE special names... Thanks for telling me that. Okay, so, Leo too. Hmm, yeah, maybe Kozaki never got those skills. Kind of hilarious to me that he got all of Lucina's skills or perhaps he skipped Luna and got Aether. Hector, though... Why?
  5. Okay, I just went through the wiki entries for the maps and Hector, Hinoka, and Lyn are the only units who don't have their full default skill loadout. Hector in particular, doesn't even have his default C-skill; he has Ward Armor instead of Goad Armor. Hinoka has Hone Spd 2 instead of Hone Flyers and Lyn has Spur Spd 2 instead of 3. Hector having Ward Armor is just weird, so, it's probably a mistake, but it wouldn't have made a difference since nobody else is a knight on Trial 5. Spur Atk or Def 2, however, would. The only reason I can think of for Lyn is that Kozaki never got Spur Speed 3 when the data was collected. Sure, everyone else on team could get 1 more speed from her, but I don't think it would have been a major problem if they did. Same dealio with Hinoka, but if she did have Hone Flyers, then Trial 3 would have been more difficult as she and Caeda could provide both Hone and Fortify Flyers to Camilla, Caeda could provide Fortify for Hinoka, and Hinoka could provide Hone for Caeda. Poor M!Robin, but 3/4's of a flying team on a map where flyers can take advantage of non-flyers, yeah, maybe that's not a good idea, especially since their stats get boosted on Hard.
  6. Okay, that somehow worked. I used Mkv's Kozaki-5 strategy, with some slight tweaks since I don't have a level 40 Felicia ready and I got curious if Est would work at all if she has Brave Lance and Drag Back since I figured that if she would drag stuff everywhere since she can be on any tile, then things would go awry. So, team of 3* Est (neutral), 4* Gaius (+HP, -Res), 4* Olivia (neutral), and 4* Selena (+Def, -HP). Selena is the only one with default skills, but she does have an Attack +1 Seal since I wanted to make sure Selena could ORKO Hector without needing buffs. Without it, she'd leave Hector alive with 1 HP which isn't much after another round of combat. Considering what I did, though, didn't need it. Anyway, Est has, as I said, Brave Lance and Drag Back, Gaius has a Silver Dagger and Hone Speed 3 which didn't really do anything, and Olivia has a Ruby Sword -- figured I wanted her to take less damage from Julia or Hector if needed and it unexpectedly worked out in my favor -- and Moonbow too which didn't do anything. If anyone's wondering, Gaius was just there for kicks -- just wanted to use him is all. Just noticed something while going through the strategy again. Hector has the wrong C-skill. By default, Hector's C-skill is Spur Atk 2 and Goad Armor. In this map, he has Ward Armor which he can only use if you give it to him from a 4* Draug. It wouldn't have helped him if he had his default Goad Armor since it looks like everyone has their default skills equipped or should, but it could have meant that had he had Spur Atk 2, so, he could have been much more dangerous giving Julia, Klein, and Sanaki attack buffs. Spur Def 2 could have helped too considering the others' low defense. If anyone is wondering exactly why Est? I don't have Cordelia or Hinoka. Never summoned them outside of maybe a re-roll where Cordelia may have shown up. Est's offensive stats are basically the same as Donnel's; she only has 1 more speed than him. So, why not. Gaius was there to fulfill the bring a colorless unit quest and I just wanted to use him. So, any of the other colorless units could have worked. 3* neutral Felicia does the bare minimum to kill Klein as 3* =Atk Donnel/Est with +4 to their attack leaves him at 6 HP. So, to do 6 damage, you only need 27 attack which 3* Felicia meets with her 20 neutral attack and 7 MT Silver Dagger. 3* and 4* Gaius exceeds that his default Rogue Dagger. Niles works too and probably would have worked better considering if 3* Donnel was used and Gaius or whoever with low resistance had to finish off Klein, then Julia would probably have killed them unlike Felicia, Niles, and maybe Faye. Est or whatever flyer being able to drag back like that pretty much meant Gaius would be out of range. Dumb ideas and unforeseen good consequences saved my butt. Anyway, Gaius is a low defense unit, so I figure Klein would have prioritized him unlike Jakob, Gordin, Saizo, Virion, etc. despite being able to kill practically any unit unless they have Bowbreaker, Wary Fighter, really high defense and/or defense buffs, or a -raven tome and T-Adept. Kagero still dies to him, but I was worried that Poison Dagger might have made him move elsewhere let alone Julia and Sanaki trying to steer clear of taking massive damage from her too.
  7. Aww, if only there was a Raigh member badge to complement your temporary Raigh time. On another note, wondering if I should make a spreadsheet of units I have that are 40... Kind of don't want too since I have 56-ish level 40 units -- might have miscounted and some are level 38 to 39, so, close enough.
  8. Chiming in to also say that these maps are available for 14 days which means that the next banner would probably up, so there might be units who can help out. 5 to 10 stamina per map, a 99 stamina cap, and 14 days worth of availability. There is no need to rush unlike GHBs which even then... Rushing just makes it worse when you're wasting stamina and beating your head against a wall. That stamina could be used for training other units or maps, Kozaki trials or whatever, you can try (or look up) and figure out you can clear. Kozaki-5 is the only one I haven't attempted after seeing what units are on there. I can hard counter Hector with Selena, Tiki, or whatever red I figure would work and Sanaki dies to 3* Donnel and Est with a Brave Lance let alone any blue with decent attack considering her low defense and having T-Adept. Julia and Klein, however...
  9. Gwendolyn is better for tanking reds and red mages because of her higher defense and resistance. Effie is better if you want to kill them while also being able to tank them with the right team set-up which is really just have 3 other knights give +12 to defense and resistance through Ward Armor as that stacks unlike Fortify Armor and knights tend to stay close to each other. +12 to both gives neutral Effie 45 defense and 36 resistance in combat on top of her 40 neutral attack. Neutral Gwendolyn would have 50 defense and 40 resistance, but she'd still have 30 attack + whatever weapon she's using. Gwendolyn would be a better wall which is good if that's what you need, but Effie would still be a good wall while also being a powerhouse to the point where she can fight greens if needed. There's also the other issue of Effie's default kit being probably better, especially for general use. Gwendolyn needs to inherit a different special since Escutcheon isn't that great when her defense is that high, an assist like Swap or Pivot for more general use, an A-skill with the ideal one being Distant Counter, Quick Riposte to replace Drag Back, and Ward Armor especially for an all-armor team. Effie really only needs to get a special, Swap or Pivot, and Ward Armor. Brave Lance can be gotten later and Distant Counter is a pipe dream unless you're a whale.
  10. @Tenzen12, Effie having the lowest overall defenses of the knights in the game doesn't really seem safe for her to deal with mages of all things. Of the knights, Sheena has the best overall defenses at 45 HP, 36 defense, and 33 resistance followed by Gwendolyn at 49 HP, 38 defense, and 28 resistance, Zephiel at 55 HP, 38 defense and 24 resistance, Draug at 50 HP, 39 defense and 18 resistance and Hector at 52 HP, 37 defense and 19 resistance; and then Effie at 50 HP, 33 defense, and 23 resistance. Effie's neutral defense being 33 is kind of low for a knight when you consider that there are units like Beruka, Camilla, Michalis, Selena, and Subaki match or exceed her defense. The main idea behind Effie is attack and kind of HP which is still pretty good compared to the other knights. That being said, Gwendolyn and Sheena having higher overall defenses does let them take less damage, so their lower HP might not matter. Having all of her stats dumped into attack and HP of course means her speed sucks and her defenses aren't as good as the others physically or magically. Of the knights, she has the highest attack -- highest attack in the game as well -- at 40 followed by Hector's 36 and Zephiel's 35. Everyone else has 30 neutral base attack. Giving her a Sapphire Lance in my opinion hurts her more than it helps. Effie's high attack lets her ignore weapon triangle disadvantage at times, especially if her Wary Fighter is still active so she doesn't get doubled. It also makes Brave Lance's lower MT negligible unlike for Draug whose 10 less base attack makes using his default Brave Sword a problem at times. If someone gets in her range and does not have someone to get them out like a dancer or someone with Draw Back or Reposition or if they don't weapon triangle advantage and high defense, they're going to die against Effie with a Brave Lance. If you really want someone to deal with mages, Gwendolyn and Sheena are better options. Otherwise, have everyone with Ward Armor so they take less damage in general. Ideally, if you have a ton of Hectors to give Distant Counter, then giving everyone that, Killer weapons for those who don't have legendary weapons except for Effie who might want Brave Lance more, Quick Riposte except for Hector who already has it with Armads and Effie and Zephiel who can keep Wary Fighter, Bonfire, Draconic Aura, or perhaps Noontime, and Ward Armor could work to make everyone a mage counter.
  11. The same reason a thief with Death Blow 2, Silver Dagger, and 33 speed showed up on the 4th or 5th stratum as I was training 3* Felicia, Hana, and Lloyd with Genny who was there to heal people a few days ago. It was on the chapter 10-5 map meaning this scumbag would not move unless you get in his range. Thankfully, he was in the upper-left corner of the map, so everyone was taken care of before I had to deal with him. Still, the fact he was there remained. If I remember correctly, he would have done about 16x2 on everyone which was more than enough to kill everyone at their level or because of their low defense in Genny's case. The irony that all the units have low defense, self-inflicted in Hana's case because of L&D1, did not help. Sorry, but sheep daughter had to take one for the team since everyone else got a level up or close to one from the other enemies.
  12. But that's one less sheep daughter to take care of. You could have had a herd of her! Actually, that would be terrible. Child support and all...
  13. Aww, but it's funnier imagining a little girl chasing and pelting a grown man in heavy armor with magic. Happy to let you know your sheep daughter is almost level 40; she's level 35. Oh, tiny one, why must you make your father's heart ache so? Kind of curious what the chances of getting Genny are considering the other colorless units and math stuff.
  14. Now I'm imagining Zephiel saying "How amusing!" as Nino does this. And then she cracks his Wary Fighter 3. *cue Virion-like pained grunt* Alternatively, Armor Emblem, therefore, Zephiel with Distant Counter and three stacks of Ward Armor: "Hmmmph!" RIP cinnamon roll. Too pure for this world.
  15. Yandere tend to be desperate... Life & Death or Fury and Desperation. Yep. I wonder if that should be called the yandere build now? :p
  16. Still hoping Nino comes home one day. Be hilarious if I still don't get her by the time Brendan, Canas, Hugh, Legault, Linus, Lugh, Niime, and Sonia are added. The whole (messed up) family is here, except for little Nino. Also, the -blade tomes, especially Blarblade, reminds me of Vergil's Summoned Swords. I don't think they were anywhere overpowered in the home games, especially DMC3: Special Edition since they were fired slowly compared to DmC and DMC4: Special Edition, but I think they were pretty good in UMvC3. Then again, Vergil himself was really good in UMvC3, so there's that too...
  17. Cherche's "Snack time, Minerva!", Felicia's "You're just a stain!", Odin's "OVERDOING IT -- as usual", Selena's "LOSER!", Setsuna's "Look, a butterfly", and Shanna's "Fine, fine, everything's fine!" come to mind. I can't decide which of Oboro's special quotes I like the best... They're all so well delivered. Same with Zephiel's. Also, you can't hear them normally, but Serra's special lines are gold.
  18. Desperation locked as B-slot. Totally optimal. It's an Emerald Axe. Emeralds are expensive. Anna clearly wants to profit from selling it. :P Anyway, as much as I'd like to get Azura or even Hinata for Ruby Sword+, not summoning. Down to 47 orbs and I need a different red mage more than I need anything else. That and with my luck, I'd summon my third Titania on my first green orb, so, no. Also, kind of a weird and random banner. No quests or anything that says yep, this banner should be here.
  19. Poor wording; I wanted to say that even before Titania, green cavaliers still had Cecilia even if she's the only green mounted mage while reds were all guys, physical and magical.
  20. Y'know, what they say: clothes make the man. So, if you wanna look big, ya gotta dress big. For example, Amelia is totally piloting a magical robot suit when she's a knight. :p Elincia, Isadora, and Tanith too. We need more than 2 sword flyers and having the red cavalry not be a sausage fest would be welcome. Seriously, even before Titania was in, red cavalry was and still continues to be nothing but dudes. Not a single dudette was in sight. At least greens had Cecilia and blues had Peri, Sully, and Ursula. Also, a mounted healer dude too. Ashnard possibly being a future GHB or some other dude works for sword wyvern, so that too.
  21. Oh, okay -- can't stop being reminded of how Lilina says that in the squeakiest of voices... I need to pick up a copy of Shadow Dragon one day. I just looked up Hardin. How on Archanea did he go from looking like he came out of Aladdin or a story from One Thousand and One Nights in the original New Mystery to looking like a lion of a man in the remake?
  22. Cain also can give Brave Sword and Escutcheon. Or Brave Sword+ and Escutcheon if you have someone else to give a Brave Sword. *cough*Draug*cough* I swear if Sain has Gentilhomme. It would make sense with him being a womanizer. All the (single) ladies get protected! And the urge to cringe as they're reminded they're on a battlefield filled with death and violence. :p
  23. Well, there is strategy to it. Where to position my units to get all the buffs and general other strategies. Problem is that it becomes the same thing over and over because it just destroys everything. That and cookie cutter builds. Kind of why although Brave weapons really well on units like Cherche and Setsuna, I kind of don't want to do them just because. It's fun having Cain charge in hacking stuff to pieces, but at a certain point if a ton of other units do it, it's kind of boring. For Frederick, at least there isn't a default Brave Axe cavalier, so it's fine, but still. I'm not even sure a Silver Axe on Cherche even works well and Setsuna doesn't do anything well outside of Brave Bow and Firesweep Bow because all her stats were dumped into speed and nothing else. Thieves don't really have an option when Kagero outclasses the others so much. 6 point lead in attack leaves Gaius as the second-best thief in damage output potential, but probably the worst at everything else which at that point, Felicia, Matthew, and Saizo become much more useful being utility tanks, Jakob as a utility unit, and then there's Jaffar with his Poison Strike shenanigans. I could totally see Matthew and Saizo running that Felicia build posted a while back, but of course, for physical ranged units. @JSND, Olwen's also rare as hell. Why Reinhardt as a 4* summonable unit? It would make more sense for the unit you could actually recruit to be a 4* summonable unit like you recruited her in her home game and now you're leveling and training her compared to getting a boss unit of all things. Yes, yes, GHB units and getting boss units and boss and NPC units being playable in other games, but still. I mean as a unit in general, Cain just seems to be not mentioned a lot. Might just be the whole there are so many reds thing and similar units in or outside of specific teams can do similar things as him. That or it's because he's not Camus, Eldigan, Eliwood, Xander, etc. He's just a dude in your army compared to being a main character and correct me if I'm wrong, but Shadow Dragon including its remake didn't have supports or had really expansive supports, right? Also, you could keep Escutcheon on Cain since it synergies so well with Brave weapons.
  24. But what if you have a 3 -blade horses and 1 Brave horse? All-out offense! Defense? What's that? (Yes, I know, you can have 4 -blade horses, but still.) :p Y'know, I'm starting to become annoyed at -blade tomes. It just does everything. -blade tome this, -blade tome there, -blade tome here... Meh... No offense or ill feelings if you like using them, I'm just concerned that -blade tomes basically destroy everything. I don't check the general discussion here a lot, so I wouldn't see you mentioning stuff about Cain. It's just that I don't see Cain mentioned much compared to the other cavalry units. Cain's like in Olwen, Peri, and Stahl's group of we're here, we exist, we're kind of good. Cain has 32 attack and speed, Abel has 33 attack and 32 speed, and Peri has 33 attack and speed. Peri takes more investment, but if you never summoned an Abel and have a Brave Lance lying about, you could slap it onto her and watch her murder stuff. Peri having crappier defense doesn't really matter if she's just there to kill stuff. For some reason, I thought Camus would have stats similar to the slower, bulkier cavaliers. I think I remembered his defense and speed wrong; Camus on 9-1 has 32 speed and 29 defense. Guess I just flipped it around as 29 speed and 32 defense.
