  1. But I don't have a Ryoma or Xander up to 5*. ;_; Figured Nino could do that and Julia with G Tomebreaker can avoid getting doubled and dying... +Spd 4* Nino has enough speed to double Veronica, but she won't ORKO as a 4* with =Atk. Also, Nino would barely live with 5 HP. Yay, Lunatic Veronica... Uh... what happened to sheep daughter? She's slower, but she's a sheep daughter. Yeah, but doesn't she not marry anyone else because he died?
  2. I just train healers and kind of leave them at that, but yeah, seen a lot of people recommend HP +5 for healers, so I'll keep that in mind. Kind of wanted to spend the SP Lissa racked up a while back, but now I kind of don't want to. I could dump Fortify Res or something onto one of the healers, but whatever. Also, ya wanna hear the worst part? I didn't want bride Lyn. No offense to those who like bride Lyn and want her, but I'd rather have regular Lyn -- be one way to get rid of a spare Bartre by dumping Brash Assault onto her -- and of the brides, it would have been Cordelia, Caeda and Charlotte, and then Lyn as units I wanted. Which is kind of the same with Celica's banner; Mae because I like her, Celica for practicality and sanity's sake, and then Boey and Genny -- I'd rather have Genny then Boey, though. So, someone's wife just got lost into my army and I'll probably have to deal with accusations of bride kidnapping. Er... bridenapping? Ditto with Soren. Yes, Soren is a bride. I don't even have a Boey, but one of Mae's poke quotes is about Boey. So, yeah... Reminds me of Clair mentioning Alm and of course, Faye talking about Alm. Anyway, geezus, you have to do 69 damage to Veronica to physically 2HKO. Or if you can double her which only a couple of units can, Lucina and Ryoma can do it safely if Lucina activates Aether or Luna and Ryoma activates Astra. Lucina has more flexibility in how she can get 37 speed and with Luna's lower cooldown while Ryoma can counter hit at range. Maybe Cain with cavalry buffs and Hana can do this too. Otherwise, 2 to 3HKO from the other high attack swords. Red mages don't have it as easy either; 62 damage to 2HKO her. Sanaki's the safest way, but will still eat 18 damage from Veronica's Quickened Pulse Bonfire. Ugh... I don't know if I should continue to attempt the 5 battles Lunatic one or do the 5 battles Hard one knowing I have an easier shot at completing it deathless. Linde, Lucina, Titania, and either F!Robin or Olivia have been my most consistent team followed by Ursula destroys everything, but only a 3* Frederick, 4* Gunter, and 5* Titania having Fortify or Hone Cavalry is not a great thing, especially since Frederick is the only one with Fortify Cavalry.
  3. Y'know, I remember when I said "I hope I get a Mae some day" last night. THIS DOES NOT MEAN TODAY, GAME!!! Two more summons from the Bridal Blessings since I wanted to try and get bride Cordelia. Three 5* summons, all new, and none of them were red mages. Cool, right? There were 3 total red orbs and all of them were in the first summon and 0 in the second summon. They were: Hinata, Laslow, and wait for it... another Sophia. GAAAAAAAAME!!! *goes into a corner and cries* So... Now I have a 5* bride Lyn, Mae, and Soren. Oh, and Nino finally came home! Yay! *still goes into a corner and cries because no other red mages* For those wondering, bride Lyn is +Spd, -Res, Mae is +Spd, -Atk, Soren is +Def, -Spd, and Nino's a 3* and +Spd, -Def. Huh, Mae's boon and bane gives her 33 attack and 34 speed. That's exactly 2 points under Linde's neutral attack and speed. And hilariously enough, if Mae's neutral resistance was 1 less than normal, she'd also be 2 points over in defense and resistance. The only stats they tie is HP. So... she's basically a slightly tankier Linde now... Whatever, I got my bundle of energy. But she'll never love me because she's fated to be with Boey.
  4. Should note that this applies to all green mages with high defense (and resistance). Veronica just happens to be the one who always shows up because of the first Tempest Trials and also has boosted stats, especially Lunatic Veronica. Cecilia and Julia are fine since their defense are low and they're also slow or slow enough I have units that can double them. Nino is a bit more troublesome, but she still has low defense. But when Boey, Spring Camilla, Merric, Veronica, and technically F!Robin in the cases where she can show up or generic green mage in GHBs or whatever, my heart sinks. Blue and red mages are much easier for me since I actually have options, especially in the case of they have noticeably different stat spreads. Linde and Ursula are my primary blue mages, but if I really need them, -Atk M!Robin is fine and even Odin. Greens have F!Robin with Merric and I think maybe 3* Cecilia could work. Then again, most of the blue and red mages don't have high defense or bulk. Off the top of my head, it would only be M!Robin and he's kind of a joke to Linde and F!Robin. Other than that, the others either are fast enough to not get doubled and killed, but that can also get them one-shotted by some units. Celica against ranged units and Odin are the only ones that come up as really bulky blue and red mages to me. Also, Reinhardt in specific cases and Leo too, but Linde is faster and Ursula has R Tomebreaker, so... baiting him basically means he's dead. Raigh is arguably my best answer since he's at least balanced enough that I can use him for other stuff, but he's only a 3* and I don't have much to give him other than "expensive" stuff like Quick Riposte. His resistance also doesn't become really good until he's a 5* compared to someone like Lilina who has 29 resistance as a 4* which doesn't happen for Raigh until he's a 5*; 4* Raigh only has 26 resistance. The worst part is that both neutral 4* Raigh and hell if I will promote you now, 4* Sophia get doubled by Lunatic Veronica. Both will die since 4* Raigh caps at 38 HP with HP +4, but he takes 20x2 from her while Sophia takes 19x2, but only has 37 HP. 3* versions of them are even worse. Then again, the only red mages who can survive getting doubled by Veronica is neutral 5* Lilina -- 4* misses it by 1 HP -- and Sanaki while Celica and Tharja are fast enough to avoid getting doubled and Henry's default G Tomebreaker stops him from getting killed. My real option is to somehow brute force it which works for the hard version of the trials, but not really for the lunatic trials considering the other beefy units around. +Res, -HP Lucina and if I have a dancer, Alfonse, Eldigan, +Atk, -Res 4* Eliwood, +Def, -Res 4* adult Tiki, and 4* Zephiel. Xander's not on the list since he's still in training from promoting him a couple days ago and training a bunch of other units. This does assume that I can bait Veronica or there aren't any other threatening units left to deal with for the others since Alfonse, Eldigan, Xander, and Tiki have low resistance and Alfonse, Xander, and Tiki get doubled, so... Eldigan doesn't -- yay, +Spd and Fury 3! :p Lucina avoids getting doubled from any version of Veronica and Zephiel's a beast. My other red options are Eirika, Olivia, Palla, and Selena. They are not what you would call hard hitters, especially to Lunatic Veronica's 66 HP and 36 Def. Hell if I'm going to try using Lloyd, Navarre, and Stahl for this. Arvis, Aversa, Lyon, whatever red mage GHB can't come sooner for me. At least I like Aversa and Lyon, so I'd be willing to invest in them and Aversa would definitely be able to get at least a Goad Flyer buff from Palla. Aversa could literally show up with her normal difficulty join stats, except for HP and I would be okay with that. 31 Atk, 32 Spd, 21 Def, and 28 Res puts her at 112 BST which if we go with Spring Camilla's 148 BST, means Aversa only has 36 points left for HP. Huh, that would make her a flying Raigh... Yeah, cool with this. Go, go, flying honey trap! :p Whatever, I think I'll stick with doing the hard difficulty Tempest Trial or maybe the first lunatic option which I've managed to complete like once.
  5. That was rage-inducing. Why do I not have any other red mages!? Every green mage I fight is like a death flag for me, especially if they have high defense and guess who has high defense for a mage? Veronica. I don't trust in 3* Raigh being useful enough and Sophia is a liability when she gets doubled by green mages and dies to them. Seriously? Can't patch that up when I never summoned a Henry to begin with.
  6. Holy Naga, I checked her skill list since you can do that in the rewards and quest stuff and masked Lucina has no other skills other than her weapon. Not even Aether!? Why... Sure, she's the first 5* you can get, but really? Man, it's going to be expensive... Regarding Mae, Catria looks much younger than she does in her home games and Lloyd looks older... to say the least. Seriously, Catria in Heroes looks like she came out of a Doga Kobo animation. Anyway, Mae's personality, though, I need me some of that. From listening to her quotes on the wiki, Cherami Leigh's delivery is awesome. I hope I get a Mae some day.
  7. Hey, I treat every unit I get with utmost care and respect whether I wanted them or they were happy accidents. Except for Alfresco and Hinata. I like to rag on them. :P Still would have preferred Celica, a different red mage, or Mae though... As for the sugar thing, I mean, people eat desserts. For me, it's like being forced on since it's just a normal thing people have, but I choose to avoid. Just different ways of seeing stuff, I guess.
  8. If you die, then I'll have to explain to her why she can never see her dad again and I'd rather not have to deal with that. I get nauseated if I have to eat sugary stuff. Obviously, this culminates to vomiting if I'm pushed too far. This is why I do not like any events where desserts are basically forced on you. At least with family gatherings, I can trade or people know, so they ask and I can decline or I can get smaller portions.
  9. See? SEE!? This is why! Why'd she have to get lost and end up in my army? ;_; So... any luck with summoning your sheep daughter back? :p SUSPECT FOUND: Caretaker who adamantly claims he did not get her killed despite all evidence showing he in fact had no ties to her death. Suspect is found guilty and sentenced to death... by sugary pastries. Yep, I could get along with Saizo since I do not like sweets. Sweet fruit and some candies are okay, but not cakes, pies, and stuff like that. Never stuff like that.
  10. Ugh, I HATE -Atk. On units with already high attack (and speed), gem weapons or T-Adept, or have a legendary and L&D (Jaffar), sure, it's fine because they can sort of make up for it, but on units like Clair, Rebecca, Setsuna, and Sophia... UGH, please kill me. Rebecca got to level 40 today, Setsuna and Sophia were merged and replaced not -Atk versions of them, and Clair is almost level 40. So much SP. I hope I get another Clair who isn't -Atk and a double Azura would be nice so I can dump Sapphire Lance+ on her since it'd be a waste to use Subaki or Sully for that. *cue getting -Spd Clair or never getting a Clair again and never getting Azura* Also, Lloyd is a pain in the buttocks to level up. With Tempest Trials, I wonder if sheep daughter would be useful. Kind of don't want to use her since I'm worried that I'll accidentally get her slaughtered which means I'll have to go to court and explain to her parents why she's dead (again) and why she's even with me in the first place.
  11. So, if I'm understanding correctly, your post was about how you grinded a crapton of SP for Camus and still have more to go and not that you didn't have the units to give him those skills making the SP grind not as productive? To this day, I still wonder how I even got Lucina. Oh yeah, just show up in an unrelated banner, Luci. Second 5* that showed up. Well, whatever, she's a good glass cannon and my only anti-dragon unit since Chrom and Marth showed up as 4* units. And Masked Lucina will be the second one since you can get her as a 5*. I wonder what kind of trial and tribulations I'll have to go through to do that.
  12. Heheheh. I'm imagining you without any orbs to spend leaving you without a sliver of a chance of summoning a unit for one of those skills. As you sit there in despair, sirens call to you, tempting you to spend money for orbs. And those sirens sound exactly like whales. :p
  13. @phineas81707, shouldn't Ursula be in Situational paralleling Hawkeye's position? Klein's the only one who gives Death Blow 3 as a 4* while also giving Brave Bow, Glacies, and Quick Riposte. Gordin's probably the better option for Brave Bow+, but he can also give Vantage, so... Anyway, your only other options are 5* Hawkeye and Ursula for Death Blow 3. It'll depend on whether or not you can get any of the units since Haweye is also a 4* to 5* summon and Ursula will show up eventually through a GHB repeat. Both don't give any other great skills; Hawkeye gives Killer Axe, an AOE special, and Threaten Atk which compared to Ursula's Blarwolf, an AOE special, and Threaten Res, is a bit better. Still, Death Blow, is useful for slower Brave users like Cherche, Frederick, Gordin, and Laslow or in general for high attack units who can't double, so they might as well hit as hard as possible such as Reinhardt. Speaking of paralleling, Gunter should be in Useful like Jagen considering Hone Cavalry means +6 attack and speed which for -blade tome mounted mages, means +6 to their normal attack and +12 bonus damage. Silver Axe is good and he's the only source for Silver Axe+, Armored Blow can be useful for certain builds, and Harsh Command... is a thing. And I think Catria should be in Handy as well. Catria is the only other 4* source for Armored Blow 3 -- the other being Titania since Xander mysteriously can't access that or Spur Def 3 as a 4* --, Luna is good, and so is Killer Lance for Walls of Fire and Sharp Things builds. Compared to the other Luna users, Ike has Aether, Heavy Blade 3, and Swordbreaker 3 as well to give, Frederick has Fortify Def and Wings of Mercy, and Lucina has Aether, Defiant Speed, and Spur Attack. Ike has 3 good skills to pass, Frederick 3 as well, and Lucina kind of only has 2 through Luna and Spur Attack. Aether is good for arena scoring, but it's niche in that you need to run a Brave or Heavy Blade build to increase the chances it'll be activated. Catria has Armored Blow, Killer Lance, and Luna with Armored Blow and Seal Atk being more niche. The issue of course, is that she's a 4* and 5* summon who was made available as a 3* unit once. Frederick is 3* and 4* summonable and Ike and Lucina are 5*-only, so they can give out whatever full chain skills they want at the cost of being rare. Once again arguing that Donnel should be higher; in Handy. Brave Lance, Drag Back, and Reciprocal Aid are a good set of skills he can give. For one, as a 3*, he can give Drag Back and Reciprocal Aid, so you don't really need to spend feathers on him to get either skill. Then again, you don't need to do that for Eirika, Gwendolyn, Matthew, Setsuna, or Titania either if you want Drag Back or Reciprocal Aid from them, but you do if you want Hone Speed 3 from Eirika and Matthew, Escutcheon, Hone Armors, or Killer Lance+ from Gwen, Bowbreaker 3 from Setsuna, or Armored Blow 3, Emerald Axe+ or Guard 3 from Titania. Anyway, the big skill-related reason you'd promote Donnel is for Brave Lance+ which is still pretty good since only Abel, Cordelia, and Hinoka can give that, but you'd need to summon 5* versions of them which in Hinoka's case, the only possible way to get her. Also, should Odin be in Exemplary? Would like someone's opinion on this. -blade tome and Moonbow plus R Tomebreaker if you're really having trouble against red mages. He gives everything a blue mounted mage needs to destroy units. You'd need at least 2 5* Odins while for the others, you'd need whoever has the appropriate -blade tome and him or Palla for Moonbow.
  14. Hmm, considering armor archers and mages exist, I wonder if they would want Close Counter. Their problem would be being unable to run away from units, but positioning skills exist, so...
  15. @phineas81707, I'd argue for Eirika and maybe Marth to be moved up to "Handy". Cherche, Eirika, and Marth are the only units who give Pivot and in Eirika's case, she can also give Drag Back and Hone Speed 3 as a 4*. Pivot's good for armors on non-armor teams and you can use it defensively by having a unit cover more ground than they usually can to escape, Drag Back is good for melee Braves, especially for flyers, unless you want to run Wings of Mercy or a -breaker, and speed buffs are pretty all right. Eirika being able to give a versatile set of skills should probably land her a spot in Handy rather than Situational. Also, Olivia up to Handy as well. She only gives one good skill set at 4*, but Hone Attack 3 is still all-around useful. Personally, I'd rather use a spare Olivia for Hone Attack 3 rather than F!Corrin who's better off used for Draconic Aura. Similar deal with adult Tiki. Bonfire is just useful for a lot of high defense units, especially armors or units like Eldigan, Michalis, Oboro, and Xander. The only other Bonfire unit is M!Robin and he doesn't really give anything else people want. Blarraven is pretty much his own thing when none of the other blue mages have good defense as him. Or if they do, they're better off running something else like a +Def Reinhardt does not care about Blarraven. But, Bonfire? It might be their only skill they give, but if a lot of units want it, then they might be more in Handy than in Situational. I'd also argue for Sophia and Stahl to be in Situational. Sophia still can give Dragon Fang and Fortify Res 3. DF can be used for Brave units if you're the kind of person who's okay with having them kill normally and having a special be for expanded coverage and Fortify Res at least helps everyone around or can be a base for Fortify Cavalry and Flyers which compared to M!Corrin's DF and Def +3, is kind of better. Swap is good. That's pretty much it. Armors, tanks, and in general, Swap is a useful positioning skill. Might not be as good as Reposition, but still. Stahl's also easier to burn for Swap when you consider Arthur can at least give you Lancebreaker 2 and Subaki can give you Quick Riposte 2. If for whatever reason you aren't using those skills or can't like you want Swap on Zephiel, but you only have Arthur and Stahl. Stahl's a better choice since you could have Arthur give Lancebreaker 2 and Swap to someone else. And even if you had Subaki, he might be better off for a different armor who doesn't have Wary Fighter or someone else like Xander.
  16. Whoa, I just noticed that. Thanks, TV Tropes (for wasting my time again). Doesn't happen in-game, but Nino and Ursula are the only mages drawn with tomes -- so, not bride Caeda or Spring Camilla and Lucina -- who don't have them open when they attack regardless if it's their normal, special, or critical health portraits -- Ursula doesn't even have a tome in her critical health art. Nino makes sense since she's illiterate, but Ursula? Hmm... Anyway, Boey, Cecilia, Celicia, Linde, Raigh, both Robins, Sophia, Soren, and Veronica have their tomes closed when at critical health. Everyone else has their tomes always open. Bonus points to Bruno still using magic to levitate his tome. It's neat touch that her art references that Nino can't actually read and just casts spells based on memory. It would have been cooler if in-game, her tome never opened, but whatever.
  17. Starting to get hungry now with all this pizza talk, but also mildly annoyed as I'm reminded of high level math and chemistry. Yeah, but whoever said love with simple? It's always complex. :p
  18. *blink* *blink* Uh... Pineapples. :p 197/225 seems like a nice number. (Yay, 28 more unit spaces...)
  19. I hope we get a flying or mounted mage with 35 attack and speed. -blade tomes are broken? Now it's even more broken! MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!! And then the developers troll everyone by dropping a balance patch dropping -blade tomes' MT from 9 and 13 to 5 and 9 and capping the damage bonus to +12 instead of +24. RIP Odin since everyone else would still be do fine with nerfed -blade tomes. :p
  20. This reminded me of something. A flying team using all Wards. Flyers can stick close together more easily than cavalry. So, maybe it could work depending on your team setup. Having the touchscreen register you tapping the screen twice causing your unit to stay in place. Worst thing ever.
  21. Yeah, I remember seeing that in the joke and meme thread. So much clutter... Ew... Disgusting. :P
  22. You'd be wasting skills and units. I also doubt that they would give you the full cost of the skill, especially since you never learned it for a unit. At best, I could see them giving you a tenth of the original SP cost. Now, if you learned Savage Blow 3 for er... Odin and feel like it's not working, then yeah, you should at least get the normal SP cost if you could get rid of them. I just want to get rid of unlearned skills I inherited on some units for some reason. Oboro has Defiant Atk 1 and adult Tiki has Drag Back. Defiant Atk could work, but I don't really want it and Tiki's running Quick Riposte with Lightning Breath. So, they're just sitting there cluttering up the skill list. It's not a really big deal, but it just annoys me.
  23. Narcian: "Robin, what does the scouter say about her [the healer's] power level?" F!Robin: "It's over 9000!!!" Narcian: "What!? 9000? There's no way that can be right!" Palla and Subaki: "..." *cue closing theme* Will the heroes be able to defeat their empowered foes? Will Palla and Subaki escape their allies' shenanigans? How does Camus feel about his allies' incompetence? Find out on the next episode of Fire Emblem Heroes Z! I'm really curious as to why the AI decided that would be a good idea. Doing that basically blocked the healer and the red mage from doing anything.
  24. Kind of wished you could delete unwanted inherited skills. They're just there... unlearned and unneeded. Part of me feels like maybe the CYL thing might be too big and busy, so they might skip the gauntlet. Or, it is the gauntlet which would make sense too.
