  1. I guess I'll play. I didn't have time to finish this draft last time, but I'll be done with my other play through soon and should have time for this.
  2. Nooooo prayer sword glitch is banned :( Hmm I'm not sure that having Cuan be free in just the prologue will be enough, some bosses in chapter 1 will still be a massive pain without him (I remember having Azel trek all the way over to kill Gandolf.) Then again, if you make him free in Chapter 1 as well, it'll hurt the person who chooses him a lot. It's really hard to balance Sigurdless early game. Also draft-able Celice is insane, but it might be the best way to compensate for not having a dancer in gen 2.
  3. I've finished planning out Barhara, so it should be smooth sailing now until the end. I'll definitely finish this play through at some point next week depending on when I have time to record/commentate. Each one of you will probably either love or hate my strategy for Barhara. Edit: During the poem reading (I'm too lazy to think of another reward for the challenge) I'll also answer any questions you guys might have.
  4. Maybe you should try out Levin x Tilityu just to see how much pairing them costs when you're playing at a brisk pace. That'll be important for ranking Levin!Arthur.
  5. @Yojinbo consider the thieves' ability to give as part of the steal skill.
  6. I mean... one of the five year olds I had Leif rescue in chapter 8 probably contributed more to the run than Johalva.
  7. I really felt like putting a video out today... so here it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHnsnI9333Y&feature=youtu.be Edit: Now would also be a good time to post your top 15 items of the generation, top 10 units of the generation, top 5 skills of the run, and top 10 items of the run, though you could also wait a bit longer if you want. Any item is valid.
  8. @Lord Raven I had no idea, thanks. It's too late to be useful on this play through, but I'm sure I'll do something with a snes game some other time.
  9. I have a nasty habit of getting to a point where I think all is good and writing all my save states to one location. It's really stupid, and I will definitely try to get rid of it before I do my next LTC.
  10. In absolute LTC chapters 8, 9, 10, and endgame are all faster than the prologue I believe (rescue staff/dancer abuse is ridiculous.)
  11. It depends on how strict we want the efficiency aspect to be. I feel that if we make it too strict then there will be a very clear ranking and not much room for debate, but 270 turns is too open. Maybe 220?
  12. Progress update: It turned out there wasn't enough EXP in chapters 8,9, and 10 to promote Fee unless I wanted to rig stuff that was well below a .001 chance of success (if only I had a save from chapter 7!), so I had to replay the entire game. Even with every move planned out that was still very tedious, but I'm currently on chapter 10, so I'm almost back to where I was. I'll probably aim to finish the play through off in the next two weeks.
  13. Hmm fair enough. I guess we should only assume elite ring and a powerful sword then.
  14. Elite ring and leg ring and the hero sword is probably what Celice is assumed to have. Maybe the light sword and magic ring as well. Anything else on him is debatable.
  15. I'm not sure about that. If this was an absolute LTC tier list she would definitely be ranked highly, but you don't need an early rescue staff playing for 270 turns.
  16. You don't need pursuit when you can one shot almost everything promoted with Tron.
  17. Hmmm let me think... she has little trouble clearing the arena with wrath, so that's a big chunk of experience right there. She can easily be fed some enemies when she's recruited, some enemies near Conote, and some wyvern knights in chapter 9. She may even be allowed to help a child in chapter 8 (though that may be pushing it a little.) With that and four arenas, she can probably be promoted in time for chapter 10 to take over her brother's role of being absolutely untouchable. I would argue that that's good enough to put her in the low end of high tier, but the top of high mid would also work. Edit: In response to the inevitable arguments of her not being mounted, this is 270 turns, not absolute LTC, so using a powerful foot unit here and there isn't completely inconceivable
  18. *Base stats + promotion bonuses Arthur. When I first did my 0% Growths Playthrough without RNG abuse it was obscenely slow so I actually had time to pair Lex and Tilityu (my personal boots!douglas). With base stats + tron + magic ring + promotion bonuses Lex!Arthur trivializes everything except for Ishtar, siege tomes/ ballista (they're actually dangerous when he's in wrath range) and maybe Blume (I can't remember.) In chapter 9 he's also amazing, I believe he destroys everything except for Arion, that one dark mage, and maybe the boss of the empire's reinforcements. His magic growth is only 15%, so I'm not sure if the few magic procs he'd get would make a big difference. Edit: I also think Lex!Tinny should be ranked somewhere in high tier. She has b staffs which is always nice, and her offense gets ridiculous, she can one shot a lot of enemies even in chapter 10/ endgame with the almighty wrath/ambush combo. This is probably slightly better than Hawk, who also has a spot in that tier, so maybe she should be right above him?
  19. I say Aideen > Briggid. Aideen's warping has the potential to save a few turns and her healing can help in some situations (like vs the cross knights and Macklily). Briggid has incredible offense (and at 270 turns getting the Ichival is reasonable), but she's probably not going to get to use it much.
  20. Why would you have Dew money dump Aideen to use a staff that someone else already uses perfectly well? It's essentially Deidre's for that chapter. Also, even if she is a five move footie she can still warp and contribute to Macklily castle fine (maybe Augusty too if you're not playing at a breakneck pace.)
  21. I guess it depends on how big we want top tier to be? Like if top tier is absolutely massive and includes every unit who can trivialize the second generation being in top tier won't really mean anything.Maybe just have Celice (for being the absolute best), Leif (rescue staff), and Laylea(dancing) in top tier and then add other tiers like OP tier for units like Oifaye and Aless. Edit: I mean Laylea/Leen
  22. Finn isn't depicted as entirely emotionless. After all, there is that one conversation in FE4 where he breaks down crying in front of Altenna.
  23. Probably not. He's very useful, but there are a lot of units who can do what he does. By chapter 7 Celice is already amazing, then you Fin (who is really good until chapter 10 if you trained him) and Aless and eventually Leif. He's just one great mount among many, which I don't think warrants moving him that high.
