Er, it's a fantasy world we're talking about. Sure, there's the cliches here and there, but I see this Eastern route not being a fair change that I like. To some close-minded people, it can give a wider view of Japanese culture. And most FE games have a more medieval setting in Europe. It's nice and hopefully it's not butchered when translated to English...

Trying all routes, but Hoshido seemed too "nice" to be nice so I'm going that route first.

Some sibling must die or have a horrible event happen to them like being a prisoner if no death. No happy endings galore, please. Marx and Ryouma will/should have some sort of clash that I'm really hoping won't be lackluster or anticlimatic. That or get killed by Kamui on the battlefield. Hinoka and Camilla, being dedicated to Kamui and all, one might be spared. The other's suffering would be niiiiiceee........ Leon and Takumi can be thrown up in the air Kill one imouto would be pleasant to see, especially an accident killing.

In my case, I'd spoil the gameplay rather than the story. I usually go around looking at gameplay every time I decide to buy a game. I usually look at stats, possible reclasses, and new/changes of certain functions such as the weapon triangle. I spoil myself pretty selectively. I don't necessarily look at the story since that's what kills the game for me most of the time, but I will occasionally pull up a website to see what happens after I finish something out of curiosity.

I like it more Merlinus style, but the Chromvoy is fun to abuse

For the most part since the triangles will be more relevant with added variety I agree with the idea of diversifying the amount of classes able to use magic and having more users. If I understood correctly about what you said about having Fire, Thunder, and Wind having separate ranks, I'm not sure taking that much time to get high rankings will be favorable. It could end up tedious. If IS was to do that, it could imply a need for much exp grinding playing with the types to counter and take defense of. Edit: Not LTC. My mind is dead

I think there will be a significant change in the usage of magic/tomes in IF, along with maybe the return of Light Magic. I was wondering if it would be favorable to have the Anima and Trinity of Magic make a return as it adds to more challenge, especially on higher difficulties. Which also leads to discussions about Light returning, but I think that could be put a little bit off for now, or not. I don't know. And would the return of the triangles make the gameplay more interesting, or would it be a turn down? I guess I'd like them to return, but I think the game could do fine without them

I think keeping children involved would be fine. Although, I'd like it if there was a time skip like FE4, and the role of the children to be larger. Or, as earlier mentioned in the topic, parallel storylines. *jumps aboard the bandwagon against time travel* And I really, really hope the children don't get so OP like certain cases in Awakening.

I'm late to the party... and this thread is hilarious with all the bashing. I'd say Casual mode should return. Okay, the point has been made that perma-death is a very distinct trait of the FE series. I personally like the challenge of Classic, yet newcomers probably would start off with something to their tastes and there's a good lot of people I know that play Lunatic+ on Casual. It's *obviously* possibly easier for new players to get the swing of things in Casual without resetting the whole chapter for a unit that's vital in their gameplay. Lunatic+ is too obvious. And well, it's a player's choice on whether or not they want a challenge or a playthrough of screwing with optimization and playing to their own enjoyment of FE. The Casual option also seemed to widen the series' audience. And well, classic is most likely going to be there always so just pick that option when you start the game.

Me and my sister tried trading with DLC and SpotPass characters and a random generate team happened. I'm surprised this glitch was unseen by Nintendo.

I think a topic like this was posted before... this can be locked or whatever if it was. I've been getting lot of StreetPass teams lately but I don't think they are real people. So far only 2 are real that I got Usually whenever you see/recruit/battle a team, the Avatar will have greeting and recruit messages along with marriages if any. Some of the ones I get will have strange names, the same greetings, not possible hair colored/skilled Morgans and other children, and no marriages when you view thier card. Some names are: Olwora, Sayvra, Arund, Rieve, Ardissa, Luthor Rieve and Sayvra, wiht Luthor and Arund have the same greeting. Sayvra "married" Chrom, yet has a red hair Morgan. By red, a Cordelia or Miriel red Olwora has the same recruitment message as Ardissa. Is this some sort of joke or glitch?

Doing my first Lunatic run on Classic and I'm having hard time with pairings. My Lunatic run is going crazy. I'm willing to grind hard before geting the children. Some are not the "best" but they are the ones that end up with the most useful children in my case. My pairings: Chrom x Olivia (they already married) Frederick x Sumia Lon'qu x Lissa (did) Vaike x Sully (did) Donnel x Tharja Stahl x Cordelia (did) Virion x Cherche Ricken x Nowi Libra x Maribelle I did a few already but I'm unsure about the rest. Miriel and Panne will be paird if I have men that I didn't kill off yet. For FeMU, I'm thinking Henry as I usually end up with a more magic based Morgan, or a second gen. EDIT: I have Spd asset for my Avatar
