Actually Edward is the strongest first tier unit if you play without FE9 transfers. With A support with either Micky and Leo he can ORKO everyone aside of knights with a steel sword, knights with brave sword. He's a fantastic PP unit... but a very shaky EP unit. However he should take two steel lance soldiers at least. Fighters and archers will 2RKO him usually even with A support.

It makes me sad that so many people don't appreciate fangames. Of course it means emulating which I understand some people daunt to do it. But it's not that each fangame has the quality of Gheb FE. There are still tons of great hacks in the forum which feature ideas IS never introduced and probably never ever will. I treat a FE romhack as serious as a new official FE part by IS. My mentioned patch just fixed the gameplay issues and nothing of the story, but if there was a patch out with also a modified story, then there's no real reason (for me at least) to buy a remake which has probably a worse gameplay quality than a romhack.

These are really no useless units. Lot has decent bases and growths and combat usefulness till endgame. Your typcial #1 choice for Armads. Same goes for Noah and mounted units FTW in FE6. Treck is the worst cav. but still not useless. Fae has sick boosts and is easily to train. Each kill gives her like one level. Even Ogier is ok since it's sword emblem but unfortunately he is in the wrong class. If he was a myrm, he'd be a lot better. I'm almost wondering why you haven't mentioned Lilina and especially Hugh. Why the fuck burning lots of money for a mediocre mage!? I'm sure I metioned it already, but I will say it again. There's a balance patch of FE6 in this forum which fixed the hitrates of axes, lances and bows and gave some units better bases and growths. So there's absolute no reason for a remake of this game.

#7 Aran Aran is an optional unit. However it's definitely better to have him along because he's a very useful front unit. He's a soldier with growths of a knight, very high strength and defense and great skill too... however at cost of speed. And that's his major downer for him in hard mode. His base speed is pretty low, same as Nolan's who joined two chapters ago. However unlike Nolan his speed growth is pretty mediocre. He needs lots of levels early on to have a decent enough speed without being worried getting doubled in future chapters. It's even more effortful than babying Edward in the beginning with a worse pay off tbh. Aran can tank but you'll have enough units like Sothe, Volug, Jill, Zihark and Nolan who fulfill this role. Seriously he's only a filler, not needed in hard mode anymore till you can't bring everyone, rather a safety risk because of his shaky speed. In lower difficulties he's definitely a really good unit and more variable since weapon triangle is a thing and he's your only real lance user in part 1 till Jill is promoted. In endgame Nephenee will do better due to her speed cap. As for his character he's Laura's childhood friend who worked for the church. However he was forced to fight for Begnion against his own will. While his job he allowed the DB to escape the prison which shows that he doesn't share Begnion's intentions. Finally Laura could convince him to join the DB and to rebuild the church together.

What are things which annoy you in the publicity? I never judge a person immediately by the appearance because it means nothing if the character isnt matching. I need verbal contact person to make an exact opinion. Oh yeah, that too + weapon triangle

Edward is the best DB member gameplaywise in hard mode because he's the only first tier unit who will double consantly and ORKO several enemies with his high strength growth and strength support with either Leo or Micky. And he's better than Jill in part 1 at least if you play without transfer boosts. (DB = Micaiah, Sothe, Edward, Leonardo, Nolan, Laura, Aran, Meg, Fiona)

South East Europe has many straying cats and dogs in cities. Unfortunately some of them are sick and fight for survival. Sorry for posting this (again) but it's too cute not to share it.

#6 Nolan Nolan is like the daddy of the DB. He protects the members and js Edward's and Leonardo's teacher. His age is unknown but I think he'll be around 30. Not only is character is great, but also his combat. Nolan is an untypical fighter. Instead of having high HP and strength, he's more focussed on skill and speed with a better resistance than defense growth. His good speed speed and earth affinity are the main reasons why I prefer him over Boyd. However his earlygame struggles. He can take 3-4 hits in 1-1 but it will change soon. Two steel axes and tigers will 2RKO him if he levels neither HP nor defense. Furthermore he needs strength and speed not to get doubled with the steel axe which might happen in 1-2 already because some enemies have 11 speed. At least in hard mode Nolan can be screwed easier than Edward because unlike him Nolan doesn't have a great base speed. A Nolan who gets doubled is a fail Nolan. Seriously in part 1 Edward will do more than Nolan, but he'll start to shine when he has established a support with Volug or Zihark. He'll become a great dodgetank and definitely endgame material... if he can manage earlygame.
