I am interested to see in what capacity the Avatar will appear next, especially if there could be one in the new Switch game. As Echoes is most likely going to be a mini-series containing remakes, the Avatar may not be featured in these installments (apart from if a New Mystery of the Emblem remake is produced) because many of the older games did not have one. Then again, none of the older games except New Mystery had Casual Mode and this feature may be in the Echoes games so the Avatar could indeed come back too; they could be an intriguing addition to Echoes. I am assuming the Switch game will be a title with a new story and characters or a sequel to a previous installment rather than a remake or spin-off; that would make it Fire Emblem 15 to me if it turns out to be the case. If the Switch release really is a new title, then I cannot see why the Avatar would not be in it - given that this feature is what became so popular after Awakening, the game that saved the series from being discontinued. I certainly hope that we get the Avatar again in the next new entry for Fire Emblem myself as I really like creating an original character or one based on myself to feel more immersed in the story! Should the Switch game be a main entry (which I reckon it could well be), do you think it means Nintendo will release titles on just that console from then onward? I hope not. I would like to think that main titles would be released on 3DS as well so fans can choose to play them on whichever platform they prefer and not miss out.

I am finally able to download Revelation. The Eshop must have had a lot of people accessing it because I kept getting an error every time I logged in. Waiting a couple of hours seems to have done the trick. Perhaps people got their codes today too and were all logging in to download the game? Anyway, I cannot wait to start playing Revelation. I will finish Birthright first before moving on to chapter 6 in the third path.

Game UK finally sent me the download code for Revelation at 10 am today. Wow, how poor is that? Game usually are good with getting preorders to customers on time but only physical copies, it seems. They did great with Birthright and dispatched it early which resulted in me getting the game a day before release. Brilliant. But with the digital only Revelation, they sent it to me a day late. Ridiculous. Do Game UK do this with all of their digital releases? I have never bought anything digital or any DLC from them before now so I am wondering. Has anyone else got their Revelations code today instead of yesterday, which was the day of its release? Has Nintendo also given codes late to people?

I preordered Revelation at the same time I preordered Birthright. Revelation is out today, yet Game UK have not emailed me the download code at all. I have been waiting all day and still nothing. It looks like Nintendo are not the only company making people wait for ages. Here is hoping I get the code by tonight. I have tweeted Game just in case I do not receive the code.

Thanks for posting your instructions on patching the EU version to allow use of the undub. I have some questions. I have never patched, hacked or homebrewed anything before. 1. Do these instructions create a temporary patch? 2. Do you need Homebrew with HANS for this patch? 3. I have a normal 3DS which is on version 11.0, so will the patch work and can I install Homebrew? 4. Do you require some hax thing to run Homebrew and if so, how can you use a hax if you do not have any of the games necessary for one? 5. Can you install and run Homebrew without a hax?

When you get someone's calling card, does that mean you have got their friend code and added them as a friend on your game and 3DS system? I'm not sure how these calling cards work.

I have some technical questions. However, I am not very technical myself when it comes to patching (never done it before) so please excuse my colloquial terms. My 3DS firmware updated today and it is now on version 11.0.0-33E. Will this work with the Japanese audio patch, Homebrew and any of the entry points like Ninja Hax? I have heard that you need a save dongle like Powersaves (whatever that is) to use Cubic Ninja or Ocarina of Time to run Ninja Hax, something which was not mentioned in the OP or this tutorial (http://pastebin.com/JxLY3dpt) that you linked people to. I don't have whaever this save thingmabob is so how do I install and run Homebrew? Are there any entry points or hax thingmajigs which use the 11.0.0-33E firmware without having to use Powersaves? The European version does not seem to have changed much from the American one from what I have played so far since the game arrived a day early in the post this morning. As such, like one of you said in response to a previous post of mine, it looks like the US patch might just work with the EU release of Fates. Here is hoping!

I got my Birthright game at half eleven this morning. A day early. Yay! I will be having fun creating my Avatar. I confirm that there is no option for Japanese audio. I shall be remedying that post haste when a patch is out.

Thanks for clarifying that. I'll be putting up my castle address on here then so you guys can see my castle and visit it, seize it, or gather materials from it. I'm guessing people here are adding their friend codes in order to go to others' castles quicker.I'd like to know whether My Castle is just for PAL players too...

The UK Nintendo store have emailed me to say that Birthright is on its way and that it will arrive on or before the release date. Hooray! It would be great if the game arrived early in the post. I am really excited now. Hopefully someone will release a patch for the European and Australian games so those of us who want to play with the Japanese audio can (assuming the PAL version does not have the option).

Could you please upload the Japanese audio patch for the European release of Birthright and Conquest? Fates is coming out in the EU this Friday, the 20th May, so there are only three to four days left. Regarding DLC, I'll pick and choose the maps I play rather than buying them all in one go. There are some maps in the packs which I don't want so this is the best way for me.

Map Pack 1 and Revelation can now be preordered from the UK Nintendo store. The Nintendo UK store has Fates bundles available too, some with Conquest or Birthright as a digital download and the map pack and some with a t-shirt or a Fates home theme as a bonus. You can also preorder Revelation from Game.

With the European release in just over a week, I am looking forward to using the undub patch for the path I chose. I will keep an eye on the master post for a link to the patch which restores the Japanese audio. Thank you very much for all of your hard work. As somebody who is not very technical, has never patched anything before and knows nothing about Homebrew, I have some questions concerning the upcoming European version of the patch: Will the undub patch restore the Japanese audio for the DLC version of Revelation? Does having Homebrew installed on my system affect the 3DS or the software adversely in any way - what are the risks, if any? What are the risks for the game if I temporarily or permanently patch it with the undubs patch? Will Nintendo ban me if I have Streetpass on and/or am connected to the Internet while playing Fates with the undubs patch?

I will be playing on Normal with Casual Mode to begin with so that will be my first run through. I want to experience the story and the characters and get to grips with the gameplay in Fates first. However, I intend to switch to Classic later while staying on Normal when I start another file. As for the order in which I plan to play the games, it will be Birthright first and then Revelation after that. I do not intend to play Conquest as it will be too difficult for me. It would not be a good experience if I were to play it due to that, plus I prefer Hoshido.

I will choose a boon and bane which match myself. My avatar will be as close to me in appearance and build as possible because I like customising characters to resemble my personality; it makes the game a lot more immersive. My bane will be slow because I am not fast in real life and my boon will be clever as my intelligence is one of my assets.

Has anyone preordered anything from the online Nintendo store before? If so, when was your item dispatched and how long did it take to arrive? I have preordered Fates on the UK store and I was wondering about this.

If you don't want the art book, I'd take it off you if you want. I would like one but because the limited edition sold out so quickly in the UK online and my local Game has no idea when (or if) it will ever be in stock at all, I could not get the book.
