  1. I definitely prefer f!Morgan. She's quirky, hilarious, and very direct about what she thinks. I find m!Morgan's carefree, dorky personality to be uninteresting in comparison.
  2. For those who don't know, Wendee Lee and Michelle Ruff are the two women credited for providing the female Avatar's voices in English. At one point Wendee Lee, who plays voice 2, was credited for also doing voice 1, but now the widespread belief is that Michelle Ruff (voice 3 and Noire) plays it. My problem with this is that I'm familiar with both VAs (especially Michelle Ruff) and neither of them have the vocal range for that voice. If you haven't heard voice 1, you can listen to some clips here and here. Now compare them to Michelle Ruff's and Wendee Lee's voice acting. It could just be me, but I don't hear any similarities between either of their voices and voice 1. This bothered me, so I did some searching and found one person who thinks that Lauren Landa's the one who plays it. I found a video that lists her roles and gives a few samples, and I personally think that she sounds pretty similar to voice 1 (mostly from 2:03 onward). Anyway, what are your thoughts? Are you hearing something in Ruff or Lee that I'm not, or do you think that whoever played voice 1—Landa or otherwise—chose not to be credited?
  3. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I really like Cordelia too. I feel she's a pretty complex character. She's more than just her feelings for Chrom: She's a perfectionist, she's not good at showing her feelings, and she has her share of insecurities, but she's also a hard worker and she cares deeply for her friends. Especially where Sumia is involved.
  4. According to some sources, female Avatar voice 1 is Michelle Ruff (who is voice 3), but a few used to say that voice 1 is Wendee Lee (who does voice 2). I'm somewhat familiar with Ruff's work and have listened to several voice clips for both of them, but neither woman has a tone that fits voice 1. Is it just assumed that one of them doubles up and plays voice 1 since there isn't a third voice actress listed, or is it stated on a more official site?
  5. While I agree that a decent percentage of it is probably hype backlash, there are plenty of people whose opinions can change as they get more experience with something. I don't think it's unreasonable to believe that once the initial excitement died down and they played Awakening again, there were plenty of veterans (and even non-veterans) who realized the game was, in their opinion, not as good as they'd first thought it was.
  6. I'm seriously digging that second set of first gen keychains. It's too bad these things aren't sold separately, or I wouldn't think twice about buying several of them. I might cave and buy Vol. 3 anyway because Lon'qu, Libra, and Maribelle.
  7. This, basically. I've attempted Lunatic a couple of times but always get stuck on Chapter 2. If I ever manage to get past that part, I'm going to grind until I can play through the difficulty without raging incoherently.
  8. I just started SMT: Persona for the PSP, and it's interesting so far despite the older feel. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I'm digging the combat system.
  9. This basically sums up my feelings on it. I thought it was amazing when I first played it, then I allowed myself to be swayed by its critics for a period of time and wasn't fond of it. Now I accept that it has its flaws, but the gameplay is still a lot of fun and the characters are all charming in their own ways. And with its skill inheritance and large number of supports, it has a high replay value. The only thing I can say I truly dislike about the game at this point is its fanbase. So basically, the entire Awakening fandom on Tumblr.
  10. I've been vaguely following this project since it was started, and it's pretty impressive. It's interesting to see how the kids look with different hair colors. When your color inheritance is as terrible as Stahl's or Gaius's, taking hair eugenics into account is practically encouraged.
  11. Well, I guess that answers my question entirely! Now it makes sense why the localization team chose to make his heritage more obvious. Thank you for clearing that up.
  12. Sumia hate doesn't exist outside of English what're you talking about Don't you know that only English-speakers are capable of hating fictional characters To suggest otherwise is preposterous 俺はスミアが好きだけど。
  13. I personally would like to have seen Morgan with his default black hair, but like Malebolganone said, Chrom/Robin is a hell of a lot more popular than any other f!Robin ship. Eventually, you come to expect 90% of m!Morgan fanart to feature him with royal blue hair.
  14. The picture looks great, and that art style isn't too far off from the original. The person who recorded the confession was no Todd Haberkorn, but their delivery was pretty good as well. I like it. You know what they say: incest is wincest.
