Marth, undoubtedly. As already stated, he was the most "human" lord to me, and it was interesting to observe him go from a prince of a demolished country, to effectively the king of the world. Furthermore, in New Mystery, I feel like they struck the perfect gameplay balance between a lord who can hold their own, but doesn't bust their game like Batman's spine.

I adore New Mystery, but seeing Echoes makes me wish they waited just a little bit longer to remake 3.

I think this idea would work better with King of Fighters: that way we could have teams of 3 FE characters representing each continent.

I would want a more ASW-like Fire Emblem game, in that the roster isn't crazy huge, but each character has their own nuances and quirks in battle. It would be difficult for the initial entry of a fighting game to have 50+ unique playable characters, that usually comes with age. With this in mind, I'd put around 20 as a pretty reasonable roster size, possibly consisting of: Marth Caeda Roy Lyn Seliph Leif Ike Micaiah Eirika Ephraim Alm Celica Robin (With gender swaps) Corrin (Also with gender swaps) Chrom Azura For some villainous represantation: Gharnef Lyon Black Knight Gheb Walhart, perhaps? And the inevitable DLC characters: Lucina Tiki Finn Maybe a character from #FE, or if not, Hector There we go, 24 characters in total, not counting any OC's they may decide to add for story purposes.

Indefinitely Gharnef. He's actually similar to Akuma, in that he's become so tainted with dark magic and whatnot that he's barely even human anymore.

Are there any generic enemies from Fire Emblem?

I believe that there are also instances in Fire Emblem 12, in which Marth will lament on the number of lost individuals.
