  1. Phys x Phys, Mag x Mag, and Sniper x Mag are the big three cookie cutters.
  2. HR+20 is selfish hit. Doesn't matter if they are leading or supporting, but it only affects the user equipped.
  3. In most situations, the skill that replaces galeforce won't be as relevant as galeforce. What are the alternatives? Mag+2? Take it worth a grain of salt that I skip out on galeforce for Libra!Brady!Morgan for my no dlc/no rally 100% run. Doesn't mean galeforce is bad, it's just that those "alternatives" might shine in restricted runs (not necessarily "no galeforce" but rather a restriction in general). That being said, Galeforceless Noire, Kjelle, and Nah are all pretty good options anyway; and even the galeforceless males are still good options as well. And it's not like Olivia's skillset is ever more than special dance in the first place. Yeah, galeforce can go there (because you'd pass it for Inigo), but she'd never really use it (or any non-special dance skill really). All that said reflects primarily on Apo--which is a completely different world from just the in game campaign. For in game, galeforce is only one of the many strategies used. To put it in perspective, a tome that's worth 1000g is just as (if not more) valuable than galeforce.
  4. Males have an edge in the back due to aggressor; plus after galeforce is used, there really isn't any indicator that makes you obligated always lead with Brady again that turn. Of course, you can always go down the hard support route and never even touch a proc on Nah.
  5. Brady's theoretical hit rate (assuming no rally heart, but yes to LB): ~258 rounded, which is an ideal hit. 148.5 (Stats) + 95 (Celica's +5/+15/0) + 15 (Non-DuSu+ support) I'd put DuSu+ off the table, but Nah herself (in the back) will take on 128.5 + 95 = ~223 hit. Hexnathema might contest that free spot + Mag+2 (which gives her 248). And if she's not attacking the high avo enemies in the first place, then Mag+2 certainly beats out hex (and Anathema should be enough to cover her bases). Plus, auras are going to be great for your team overall--just keep in mind that no matter what you choose between Hex/Anathema/DuSu+ that none of them are probably going to help Laurent unless you have Nah lead over Brady (which will certainly tank Brady's hit by 21 after the loss of pair up assuming no DuSu+). That makes Anathema look a little more appealing; keep in mind that this is more of a trade Mag+2 out for an aura and fill the blank with Vengeance. All in all, you got plenty of options, but I think it's safe to rule out DuSu+. Maybe fiddle with Mag+2. Either way, the auras are also likely to help you low end hit units that may or may not be reaping the benefits of a hexnathema rescue bot from spotpass.
  6. Technically, even "optimizing" for Apotheosis doesn't really matter. Whether or not it's needed (hell, even its existence in general is called into question) doesn't stop people from coming here and asking for help. Plus, someone might have a pairing in mind, but doesn't know a good math proof for a setup. Take any child and Yoshi can tell you the benefits of running AS+2, certain +Spd pair ups, +Spd classes options for X class spouse, etc. Those things aren't exactly what people asking for help know. And I'm right when I say it probably will never really matter about that single pair ideally (you have so many units in the first place, one can be off-perfect). It's still comforting (at a minimum), to hand out advice that puts those players at ease. Give them a skillset and why it works as opposed to just copy/paste X general skills for Y pairings blindly accepting something as fact. Or telling them go ham and them end up dying in secret wave 2. "Oh, learn to use rescue staff" might sound like something extremely obvious to a player who knows how to use rescue staves--but it's not really the ideal advice. Yeah, if everyone learned how to play exactly like I did, then nobody would need to ask questions. But we don't live in that ideal world where people take the time to learn for days on days. So the best alternative is helping them when they ask for help.
  7. I remember my first Apo run used Stahl!Nah. Twas one of the reasons why I love Snipers to this day; was an mvp. Although, that's not really something exclusive to Stahl!Nah.
  8. The problem with PavGis is that they only help you if you're intentionally risking death. They only show value if you bank on that % to live (otherwise why did you need them in the first place). There's a line you draw in the sand on how much do you want to gamble (for me, I don't gamble at all). But nobody should advise someone on putting themselves in those situations where PavGis can save you. Now, there are scenarios where it's a great boon. For example, Chiki's 3 unit clear for Apo relied on PavGis and dual guards. No 3 man clear is impervious to RNG, so it's something only PavGis can do that others can't.
  9. Well, to an extent FeMU x Chrom can do everything equal to or better than every other pairing in the game. I don't think that much of a metric to define the pros/cons of other pairings.
  10. Yes, but there's also the luxury of not needing AT/DLC to mass produce it as well--that's just icing though.
  11. I would argue the Long Bow is better than the Double Bow.
  12. Ironically, "worth it" depends on the person--not the actual content of the DLC.
  13. You're right in the sense speed for the sake of speed is obsolete. That's why benchmarks are extremely obvious for Spd (with 75 being the highest relevant number, and no real difference between it and 76+). It also shows the equivalency of 69-74 (no real difference). Benchmarks don't just exist in Spd--it's just the easiest to visualize. The same goes for damage (which many people struggle to see) and hit rate (which is usually solved with a +hit skill, and the kids with hit in question usually take a +hit skill dad in the current serenes meta).
  14. Grima also has dragonskin (which is why counter gets nullified). Every enemy on Apo just has dragonskin.
  15. The only realistic answer would be FeMU x Chrom (although L+ and Apo don't really mix ideally on the same file), but from what I'm seeing you're not going to get very far. How much work are you expecting an Olivia!Lucina to do on Lunatic+? How long are you going to perpetually grind (in a terrible difficulty to grind in, and the grinding won't help you that much for its cost) just to walk out with a Lucina (or anyone really) with usable stats only to ask yourself "why am I using unit X" other than... to use them. In game (especially L+), Apo, and streetpass (although you aren't planning on it) just aren't suited for a singular file. You're better off specializing.
  16. I'm inclined to say both (definitely not zero). Run a dry calc on one of them with a long bow + your strongest pair for the fights expecting need of a long bow (such as the Helswath Zerks). If you can get a clean KO on them only needing one Sniper (consider Dancer on long bow as well), then you probably only need one. Although you should also keep in mind if you want to fight Anna off throne (not limited to V/V), you need to make sure that your long bow output is enough to overcome the heal on Anna's turn. That may or may not require 2 Snipers (but it also might depend on the proc chance + dual strike chance). Or you can just consider only Long Bowing her (which may or may not be turn efficient depending on your team composition and strategy). Those calcs can involve any attack values you want to cherrypick, just make sure at the end of the day you have proper attack values for certain enemies (Anna, Zerks, and potentially other enemies you preemptively know Sniper poke is more valuable than another attacker at 1-2 range).
  17. Depends on your current Sniper composition. Realistically, you should have at least one (although I run up to 6), so it also depends on your non sniper class amounts. You don't need everyone to be a combat pair, but you also need to make sure your team isn't just bots littered with no purpose.
  18. Technically every Morgan has access to galeforce. And every Morgan can double Anna (yes, even with a -6 Spd mod) if you put in the $$$ and beyond terrible build for it. It's when you make poor decisions like Morgan in villager that actually have a visible difference since Morgan's class selection lets him/her skyrocket above so many other children regardless of his stats.
  19. If that were really the case, then no pairing should exist besides Lon'qu!Laurent!Morgan, Maribelle!Lucina, and Ricken!Severa. Because those three operate on multiple layers of ability above every unit that nobody even comes close. But that's not the point of the thread--we should give Inigo the benefit of the doubt as "first pick of the draft." What does Inigo want more than anything else from a father (excluding 3rd party factors like thriving with a Ricken!Wife so Ricken!Inigo isn't as sufficient, but that's getting more off point). It seems that you're doing the opposite of the thread by giving everyone else your ideal fathers while Inigo gets leftovers in the glorious name of being a "team player" for taking Kellam/Fred. Not that Kellam/Fred are necessarily the worst fathers for him, but why is he picking last?
  20. And imo, Aether's value is equally worthless, but the topic at hand should incorporate all the tools Inigo can use in his best interest. And RFK is one of those tools.
  21. Tbh, most stat differences (and to an extent, sometimes even class differences) are also negligible. But we should still embrace all the differences and at least take them for face value.
  22. I haven't even voiced my opinion on Inigo's best father (be it Stahl, Chrom, or even neither). Based off the topic alone, the opportunity cost for Cynthia, Owain, and any other child really, should not be more important than the child in question for the topic.
  23. I can't say this line of reasoning holds much water in the first place. Ricken also makes a Severa that's leagues better than any other Severa and Owain, but that logic isn't very truthful to the question at hand. This topic should be about Inigo, not how much I like Cynthia or how much I like Severa with X father too much that I'd refuse to give credit for a pairing that's different from my idea of hierarchy on children. That hierarchy is man made; nowhere does the game say that Owain, Severa, Morgan, etc. all get "dibs" on parents before Inigo. If Chrom!Inigo, Ricken!Inigo, or whoever actually makes a better Inigo than Stahl (or whoever really), then that parent earned that respect (and should be treated as such). The topic isn't asking for "what's the 3rd best Inigo for my needs if we exclude Chrom and Ricken." If there's one valid assumption you can make, it's that Inigo has the spotlight over other children.
