  1. Question: when hacking skills on, do they actually stay on the unit? Like if I were to put them in the skill bank, they do not go away? Or do I need to rehack the skills on if I were to choose not to use the Einherjar shop?

  2. Hmm.

I have Aptitude on my Kaze and Azura. Am I all right? (although, since I somehow forgot 1-gen units apart from Mozu can't have that skill, I may just unequip it from them, anyway.)

You're fine. I've actually visited a castle that has several first gen. units with Aptitude hacked on. Heck, My Castle has Corrin with Aptitude (which I got secondhand from a hacker since Powersaves codes for FE Fates aren't off of Prime yet) and people still visit my castle though rather sporadically.

  3. Out of simple curiosity, when was this DLC Map Pack released and when was the last one released in Japan? I get a feeling that the timeframe of release between these two packs and whatever comes after this one will (hopefully) be the same out in North America and the United Kingdom.

Before the brand new DLC (Recollection of Bubbles and Hoshidan Festival) coming around in Japan this month, Japan's last DLC map, Witch's Trial, was released back in October 2015. So, time gap of about 5 months.

  4. I honestly found it rather interesting... also I agree with you taht Revelations is the best but thats another topic, I think the best way to deal with that mission is simply opening the blue doors and using flying units, yeah sure the final boss uses a bow but, its not like you cant deal with her... also quick hint, dont even bother with the chests, most of them are worthless junk that dont sell for much and are preety weak compared to what you have at that moment.... its way better to not get caught and just open all blue doors... even more when you finish the mission without the enemies noticing, you get a bunch of gold and some neat stuff

Exactly how do you not get caught in this mission? I've looked up playthroughs on YouTube but the players always get caught, whether they get caught by the unpromoted guards' attack range or the guards get killed.

  5. WTF is this place? Why are there like no regular people? Why are islands floatings? Also from wiki:

Why do they close the portals permanently? As a result, it's not forgotten (I though it would be the other way around)? Why did Hoshido/Nohr cede land and how did they even cede land if its in a different dimension?

Seriously, this Valla place is either the most mysterious place in the series or the most half- baked ideas.

Valla is basically another world. How about you actually play Revelation and read the dialogue (even though Revelation's story still isn't the best)?

The portal closing is explained early on in Revelation. The closing could have been made permanent by Anankos being dead.

Hoshido and Nohr can simply, you know, give land? Like mark off borders for a new kingdom since the original land of the kingdom is ruined, has a giant dragon-god corpse, and is sealed off? Or is something like the Lousiana Purchase alien to you?

  6. Caeldori has the Prodigy personal skill (+4 damage dealt if she faces off against an enemy whose highest offense stat exceeds that of Caeldori's corresponding stat at the start of the battle), so having a 0 or negative mod in strength or magic could work in her favor to make up for the slight loss of damage output (Selena!Caeldori gets -1 Strength and +1 Magic mods) though I can see it mainly working on limited-to-no grind playthroughs or future challenge DLC maps.

  7. Here's the ones that left me scratching my head:

Asugi - I honestly don't know how well a Master Ninja with -2 Speed will serve you.

Hisame - Were you planning to run a Levin Sword build?

Mitama - Should almost always be a physical unit, due to her dad's mods - mixed doesn't do her justice IMO.

Nina - With those mods, along with Bowbreaker, she might be able to pull off Malig Knight.

Which mothers should be swapped around? Part of the trouble I have is that there aren't enough mothers (too many magic girls) that suit physical-oriented children characters when so few of the children characters' fathers have leanings towards magic.

For instance, should I swap replace Kagero with Felicia for Asugi and give Kagero to Hisame?

  8. Any word on whether the Cipher DLC characters (Marth, Masked Lucina, and Minerva) are going to see American release? Like could they be paid DLC rather than require download codes seeing that the Cipher TCG isn't going to be localized for international releases anytime soon?

  9. Doesn't Gaius and Donnel also get barbarian as well? I think Donnel does at the very least...as far as I can remember. That could help too.

Donnel has Mercenary and Fighter as reclass options; Gaius: Fighter and Myrmidon. Fortunately, since Donnel has Mercenary as reclass option, he can run Armsthrift with Leif's Blade (preferably with a pair-up partner that can boost his Luck past 50 so he'd have no chance of breaking the Leif's Blade). Gregor can do the same as well.

  10. As there can be as many as 21 children characters recruitable in Revelation Emblem, planning pairings for all of them just feels a lot more tricky when compared to Awakening even though skill inheritance isn't as important anymore thanks to skill buying being a thing as well as Powersaves cheats.

This is for a future run of Revelation Emblem and focuses mainly on mods; some children characters are done with favoritism in mind. Grinding and skill buying are allowed. Note that final classes are simply the classes that I plan on having the units spend most of their time in.

[spoiler=Child character: Final class : Stat mods]

Let me know if there are better pairings around for a child character in terms of mods!

  11. Iirc that DLC map's difficulty is scaled depending on your level. I recall doing it for first time with my units at chapter 9 or so and they had a level. After I progressed and leveled and did the same dlc map the enemies were leveled up and all. Dunno if this applies to all dlc maps but do it now.

It's scaled based on the chapter you're at when you attempt the map.
