  1. That was never stated at all before, either explicitly or implicitly until today. Also, you painted yourself as a complete newbie who hasn't played the game very long for posting topics that were most likely discussed at some point a good while ago before you even joined SF, especially given that you only joined very recently and that Fire Emblem Awakening is the only FE game you played so far. Think about it -- Fire Emblem Awakening's been out in English for more than a year while the Japanese version has been out for more than 2 years. Perhaps you should think more carefully on what you plan out as topics, especially since a lot of topics that may be new to you are probably already covered. And of course, there's plenty of information in the game itself -- you can draw your own conclusions from there.
  2. Chrom isn't even mentioned at all in Cordelia's romantic supports with male Robin and Donnel. I suppose you haven't heard of story and gameplay segregation and have yet to even see the conversation male Robin and Cordelia have as spouses in the Beach Scramble DLC map.
  3. For Trophy Rush, I just use my Swordfighter Mii the most often and spam his up-tilt and dash attacks. Donkey Kong can be good via his rolling dash attack. Rosalina and Luma can also be worth a shot if you're good at positioning and puppeteering (by covering 2 places at once) as well as the fact that their combined firepower can break the less fragile blocks very quickly. I can also imagine Captain Falcon being able to spam his side-B very well.
  4. I can agree with this part -- Robin just feels so sluggish to me that when compared to other characters in the playable cast, it's not even funny. Although I used him a lot in Smash Run and won a lot of final matches, he gets absolutely wrecked in Race to the Finish final matches no matter how many speed boosts he gets. Even if he gets the most speed boosts for that run, he still has a high chance of losing the race since a good number of the cast is faster than he is (space animals, any Kid Icarus character, Captain Falcon, Sonic, most Mario characters, Toon Link, Meta Knight, Marth and Lucina, etc.). Perhaps his cloak and tomes are really weighing him down...
  5. Another tip: if using Classic mode to gather custom equipment, do NOT play any intensity greater than 7.9 if you want to make sure that you can fight ONLY Master Hand in the final stage.
  6. Although I did marry Cordelia out of both love and gameplay reasons (double Morgans and a family of 4 Armsthrift users, 3 of which have Galeforce), I can see that you (TC) are certainly new to the Fire Emblem fandom because of the nature of this thread, that Fire Emblem Awakening is your first Fire Emblem game and that you joined SF a little more than a week ago.
  7. In both scenarios listed in my previous post, I went with Lck flaw as that stat isn't as immediately important when compared to other stats. Also, with the Asset-Flaw combinations shown (+Def/-Lck and +HP/-Lck), both only give a -1 Luck cap modifier and a reduced Luck growth. Early on, this may make Robin a bit vulnerable to random crits, but later on -- provided that you're willing to get Limit Break, have the map for it and are willing to grind for skills and stats -- Robin can have a max Luck cap of 54, which is still more than enough for a guaranteed Armsthrift activation rate. (Any other Lck flaw combinations can have Robin's max Luck cap from as low as 52 to as high as 54.)
  8. You DON'T need to be a masochist in order to play Lunatic+ difficulty, or Lunatic mode for that matter -- what's really required is PATIENCE. There are already quite a few strategies around that you can follow to clear the pre-DLC chapters. Of course, don't be surprised that you have to reset before even starting a battle or because a battle plan doesn't work out. And when you can, take your time -- don't rush yourself. Lunatic Classic: +Def/-Lck male Robin; primarily used Frederick to beat through the pre-DLC chapters. Lunatic+ Classic: +HP/-Lck male Robin; managed to get Robin with Frederick at C support to steamroll Chapter 4 after abuse of certain Renown awards.
  9. Well, technological (computer-based) progress is known to be incredibly fast-paced, so it's only a matter of time before something that was previously seen as unable to be hacked gets cracked.
  10. I've beaten Lunatic+ Classic... which requires Lunatic Classic to be cleared in order to be unlocked in the first place. In fact, my 2 images of my Streetpass team in my signature are taken from my Lunatic+ Classic file.
  11. Using Donnel and Robin in Risen skirmishes after Chapter 4 is finished? No thanks -- you're basically just keep telling me that you don't have an inkling on what goes on in Lunatic difficulty, let alone even try and experience Lunatic difficulty.
  12. I still can't be bothered to take you seriously since you clearly stated that it's possible to train up the story units via Risen grinding (which will most likely never happen in Lunatic or Lunatic+).
  13. Goodness -- all of these image dumps! Keep up the great work!
  14. Since Risen grinding can't happen to begin with and the OP has banned grinding in his run and that he kept saying that it's possible to grind for gold on Risen in a Lunatic run even with DLC banned... This thread is implied to be: A. a troll thread B. written by a player who has never played at Lunatic difficulty C. written by a complete scrub D. any combination of the above E. All of the above
  15. -sends in a bunch of DLC/Spotpass/Streetpass/past-Avatars from his Avatar Logbook to tear s*** up in Lunatic(+)- Really now, Lifetaker isn't all that good since it relies on being able to actually kill an enemy unit during the Player Phase. I honestly don't use it much -- I much prefer using Renewal. And since the difficulty is Lunatic and that grinding and such are banned, I don't see any unit being able to feasibly kill something quickly outside of perhaps Dark Knight Henry running a Ruin without support. I honestly don't see it OP enough to get a ban. (I honestly enjoy being able to legally break the game [no Powersave involved since I only have the digital copy of the game].) Sol+Nosferatu is a legitmate strategy, hence players would choose to create a team of Nosfertanks. Also, it doesn't exactly deserve a ban as you will probably have to grind for those reclasses (have to reclass to a Hero, train to level 10, then reclass again to Sorcerer). Not really that game breaking since you would probably have to invest time in grinding and invest hard-earned gold into Nosferatu and Second Seals. Risen grinding can't even happen in Lunatic/Lunatic+ to begin with (without assistance from Logbook units) as the Risen skirmishes that show up Chapter 5 onwards are all promoted Risen with capped stats on top of A-rank weapon levels and running B rank hackforges and staves. Sumia and Cordelia have excellent Speed and mobility on top of Galeforce access, which is something Nowi doesn't have. Donnel is garbage in Lunatic(+) unless he has a lot of support (his paralogue can have him commit mass murder primarily if he has help from Logbook units and all sorts of BS most players can't be bothered with which would most likely involve some DLC grinding -- he can be above lv. 10 by the time his paralogue is completed).
  16. Something more obscene than Robin experimenting with the Nosferatu tome on somebody's backside in Smash Bros. (bet there's more to what Nosferatu does than just sapping health).
  17. That you can kill Mettaurs and Octoroks easily by grabbing them.
  18. This thread is for banning a character, not an item. And to make it easier on yourself, just ban all items from your games since ANY item can give player(s) an unfair advantage. While you're at that, you can also go right ahead and ban every stage except Battlefield, Final Destination/Omega stages and Yoshi's Island. And damn... Pikachu and Game and Watch work fast...
  19. Other items of consideration: Shockstick -- only lance weapon in the game that deals magic damage (though it's somewhat of a joke since it's locked to 1-range for some reason) and can only be found on event tiles; and Bolt Axe -- only axe weapon that deals magic damage (can be obtained from L'Arachel's team and Infinite Regalia) and can attack at 1-2 range.
  20. My faves: N's Castle Medley Battle! Trainer (Pokemon X and Y) Dark Pit's Theme Id Purpose Wrath of the Reset Bomb Mii Plaza Spark Man Stage The Mysterious Murasame Castle Medley Master Hand Credits (Smash Bros.) Version 2 Corneria The Legendary Air Machine Save the World, Heroes! Pac-Man Jogging/Countdown Theme Menu (Melee) Version 2 I actually like a lot of the tracks, even though a significant portion of the soundtrack are originals from the original games or from Melee/Brawl.
  21. Another consideration is adding Pure Water and/or the Ward Staff -- a LOT of the units, especially male first gen. ones have rather crappy resistance. Also, neither item can be found on Spotpass teams.
  22. I'd take out the Reeking box -- it's still just as expensive on harder difficulties. A lot of the weapons can be taken out simply because they can be bought from Spotpass teams. If anything, replace the Brave weapons with their forged counterparts so those who have the Silver Card can actually save costs on getting forged weapons. (+5 Mt, +15 Hit is a common one; +3 Mt, +25 Hit is very common amongst Streetpass teams; maxed crit on Killer weapons; etc.)
  23. The JRPGs that I've pretty much played are Pokemon, Fire Emblem Awakening, and Kamidori Alchemy Meister.
  24. Basically anybody that can't run Armsthrift or an infinite-use weapon.
  25. Any paired ending for Lucina barring the one with Owain assumes or outright states in some way that she doesn't return to her original time whereas her solo ending and her paired ending with Owain leaves her/their whereabouts unknown.
