  1. Ohh noooo this isn't in General Gaming. Can I say a Pokemon character now and maybe come back later with a FE one? Three words: Ya. Boy. Guzma. First impression was "Meh, but I like his encounter music, it's catchier than his battle music". First impression of his underlings: "What idiots, but they're funny idiots." First impression of Guzma's bitch Plumeria: "Hmm, seems like...she's a bit smarter than the rest of the team." Time went on, I played through, and got to the part where and I shipped Guzma with Lusamine and wrote a cringey headcanon where he was the father of Lusamine's kids instead of But that only lasted for, idk, a few months. I started thinking, if Ya Boy's going to be with anyone, he'd be better off with someone closer to him in the first place instead of having a random one night stand when he was 17 and ending up with two kids he doesn't know about. Even if he totally WOULD do that, given the opportunity...but there has to be a reason Plumeria's the second in command. She was probably Guzma's childhood friend, they both came from rough backgrounds, it's implied that his dad was an abusive drunk who beat him with golf clubs for crying out loud. They'd start out as friends with benefits. Until she gets pregnant, and then he doesn't do much with his kid until he (yeah, he, I gave them a son) is at least...5 ish, out of not knowing what the heck he's supposed to do, plus not wanting to be the same kind of father his dad was, so he keeps his distance so he doesn't lose his temper. By that time they act like the alpha male and female of a wolf pack, dominant over everyone else, clearly in love, and the love is wild and feral the majority of the time. That's fanfic stuff though...Team Skull has become my favorite villain team because of how unique and down right goofy they are. Didn't expect that, didn't expect a villain team leader to have such an interesting backstory and to be a memorable character on top of that. The dude's hilarious and kind of a badass, and omg, his quotes and facial expressions xD I'll have to try to come up with a FE character I can apply here...
  2. I can put something like that in the lore if it's needed. But I think the poem straight from the manual is clear enough...plus, if somebody still doesn't understand, well, you just explained it for me. Fun fact: turning Mog into an orange moogle named Chee? Because my cat is an orange tabby named Cheeto lol. And I don't think cheetos exist in the FFCC world. Also, in mythology, selkies are seal shapeshifters, hence the seal association. Headcanons yay!
  3. I'd say they only work for like...wounds that bleed? So bacterial/viral infections and stuff like that are too much? Video game logic.
  4. Favorite: 3-13 Archer Least favorite: Gheb.
  5. Oh yes, my spirit animals! I think it would hurt like hell giving birth through those...psuedo penises...but yeah, that's a topic for another day!
  6. OP says he doesn't count, but yeah, I guess he's close enough.
  7. Liar liar pants on fire. Unless you're a barnacle. Barnacles don't have brains or fingers so they can't use the internet, but they do have pretty long manhoods. I'd say pics or it didn't happen but posting nudies is against SF rules
  8. Would vulneraries count as healing magic or no? If not, I second this idea.
  9. Neat idea! I'd so do it if I had people to play it with.
  10. Well yeah, HIV is bad, but I see the guy's point too that the current law wasn't working as it should.
  11. I feel bad not being able to donate. I'm unemployed and living on SSI atm. If it's okay with you though, I can ask the admin of RP Repository to help raise funds. She's pretty awesome, and every little bit helps, right? You and Belinda need all the help you can get with those risen. We don't want things getting so bad that your kid has to come from a torn messed up future, back in time to help you fight.
  12. I can't help financially, SoC, but you're in my prayers!
  13. Feedback thread for this, as well as some lore. Some of it will be headcanons, but it will be based on what's said ingame. Without further ado: lores! The four races Clavats: Mostly peaceful, they often have plain colored hair and eyes and wear plain clothing. Many clavats are farmers, but there are also many clavats who seek myrrh in crystal caravans. They are generally jacks of all trades, but some are more skilled at certain things than others. They normally wield swords and shields in battle. Some clavats from farming backgrounds have been known to fight with scythes or pitchforks. Selkies: Rogueish people, they appear similar to clavats, but can have brighter hair and eye colors. Their ears are often smaller than clavat ears as well, and slightly pointed. They often wear light, sometimes revealing clothing made out of fur and leather. They are better swimmers than the other three tribes. Weapons are normally concealable daggers, claw gloves, or throwing blades, and armor is rarely used and simple if it is. Lilties: Short warrior people, they often have hair in bright, warm colors. They tend to be hotheaded and many are either crystal caravanners or traveling monster hunters or both. They are very strong despite their small stature. They clang around in metal armor and brandish spears and axes. Yukes: Tall, birdlike magicians. Their faces are beaked and their arms and hands appear feathered. They tend to be very wise and aloof, not really associating with outsiders. Their magic prowess is the best of the four races. Yukes focus more on using magitite to cast spells, but do carry small blades or hammers as well. Other creatures Moogles: Small flying mammals that are immune to the toxic miasma, so they can live anywhere. They are friendly and many prefer to live in towns with people for companionship, but many do still live in the wilderness. They are intelligent and most can learn to use magic, and if they do, they don't need magitite. Monsters: Creatures that are immune to miasma, but hostile. Some appear to have some intelligence because they form groups and/or use weapons, but even these are dangerous and will typically attack a person on sight. Many monsters can use magic without magitite. Popopami: Large grazing mammals that are used to pull wagons. Miasma affects them like it does other livestock. Items and objects Crystals: The sacred, magical stones that protect people from miasma. They must be purified with myrrh, or else they will eventually stop working. Crystal Chalice: An urn fitted with a crystal. Caravanners use these to store the myrrh they collect, and the crystal wards off miasma in the field. Some caravans employ moogles as chalice carriers. The little creatures are perfect for the job due to their flight ability and miasma immunity. Magitite: Stones found in the wilderness that allow the use of magic. The magic in these stones wears out after a short separation from their area of origin, so caravanners must keep finding them. Luckily, they are common and frequently replenish themselves. Magic Clip: Invented by yukes, these little metal clasps clip onto weapons and allow spell casting through the weapon via a bond with the magitite in the pack. Rumor has it that some yukes are so magicially inclined that they can do the same without the clips. Not everyone owns one, however. Without a magic clip, one must be holding the proper magitite in their hand. Environment Miasma: The sinister air that covers the land. Wild animals, plants, and fungi are immune to it, and so are moogles and monsters. Domesticated animals such as livestock and pets suffer in it though, along with the four races. While it won't be an instant death if inhaled and getting used to it is possible, it is still toxic and will eventually kill a person with constant exposure. Myrrh Tree: The sacred trees that grow in the far reaches and monster infested wildernesses. They are few and far between, there will never be more than one in any given area. The dew from the leaves of a myrrh tree purifies crystals. Hotspot: An area in the wilderness that can change a crystal's element. The four known crystal elements are fire, water, wind, and earth. Miasma Stream: A sinister gorge that divides the land up into sections. They change elements frequently and repel anyone who tries to cross with a crystal of the wrong element. World Map
  14. Emulated on Android so I can use save states. Discussions will be in the feedback thread. Every other dungeon will include a poll that will run until I finish it, to allow the readers to decide which stat growth our heroine will get. If there's a tie I will decide between the ones that tied. If the winner is impossible at the time (like if strength wins and there are no strength boosters in the loot) it will default to my choice. The options are self explanatory, but for those of you who haven't played: Pockets: adds another slot to the command list. Another option during the heat of battle that doesn't require opening the menu, basically. Ring: allows the use of magic without having to find the proper magitite stone, a fire ring will give constant access to fire for example. If this wins and there's more than one ring I'll pick which one I get. Sometimes there will be polls for other things and they will run as long as I feel they're needed. For all polls I will also add a vote. I am playing as a female selkie with the blacksmith family trade. Feedback Thread Art and Banner Gallery Seek the water of life. Long ago, miasma swallowed the world. Its very touch was fatal, and it claimed many lives. But we have since discovered a way to hold it at bay. Crystals protect us from miasma. Smaller crystals now guard the villages of the world, while larger ones guard the cities. We all live our lives within the embrace of the crystals' blessing. The power of the crystals is not limitless, however; it gradually diminishes over time. We must rekindle the crystals' radiance each year by purifying them with myrrh. In turn, they protect us from the miasma for another year. But myrrh cannot be found just anywhere. We must seek it in the dark depths of dungeons, across forbidding mountains, even beyond the sea. This task falls to young men and women sent off each year by every town the world over. It is their duty to collect myrrh and bring it home. They are known as the crystal caravanners. This is the tale of one such caravanner and her adventures. FIFTEEN YEARS AGO "Please, sir!" A male selkie dropped to his knees and begged to the Torring village elder. "This is the only town we could reach! At least allow my wife a place to give birth safely..." In the wagon behind him, a heavily pregnant female squirmed and let out faint grunts of discomfort. The "elder" actually wasn't much older than the selkie couple, but his father had recently died and thrust him into the position. He had grown up hearing tales of robberies, assassinations, and general trickery...all performed by the selkie race. Whereas his own people, the clavats, were typically shown as peaceful farmers or on occasion, successful caravanners. "I will let you stay, but only until the child is confirmed healthy and fit to travel." The elder turned to one of the clavats who had gathered to see what was happening. "Lead her to the infirmary and make sure a midwife is available." "Oh, thank you! Thank you so much!" The selkie man jumped up and attempted to give the elder a hug, but he pulled away. His copper colored eyes twinkled, almost with the same luster as the crystal chalice he carried. "I will repay you for this to the best of my ability!" PRESENT DAY Dou Gas, the selkie father, turned out to be a skilled blacksmith, which was something Torring lacked. So, a town meeting had been held, and the majority voted to allow the selkies to stay, given that they had nowhere else and the goblins of Goblin Wall had killed all their traveling companions. Their little girl Dee Kat had since grown into a fine young lady. Despite growing up around a bunch of clavats, she was still a typical selkie...fast and agile, and at times a bit of a trickster. The village elder, Roland, was pleased to see that the selkies were behaving themselves, NOT stealing things. He now knew that those stories weren't completely accurate, and quite racist. In fact, Roland was almost as happy and proud as Dou Gas when Lo Ree gave birth to their second "pup": a boy who they named Don Van. It was a little known fact that selkies associated themselves with seals sometimes, calling their young "pups", and everybody knew they were avid consumers of fish...just like seals. The selkie family would fish the local river almost constantly, but somehow, they managed to never overfish it. Today, Dee Kat was sitting on a hill overlooking the town square, looking completely exhausted. A little orange puffy creature floated over to her on his leathery wings. "Rough morning, kupo?" "Chee!" The young selkie smiled and extended her hand to scratch her moogle friend's furry ears. His full name was Cheese, his parents had named him that because his fur was the color of that soft, delicious food that people made from cow and sometimes goat milk. But Dee Kat preferred to call him Chee, because it was more dignified. "Kupo" was a term of endearment that moogles called their best person friends. "Dad expects me to help in the forge just about every day. I hardly have time to train for the caravan!" Dee Kat complained. "You're not nervous at all about that?" Chee flattened his ears. "Caravanning is supposed to be REALLY dangerous." "That's why I have to train! So I don't come home in a body bag...Dad doesn't seem to understand that..." TO BE CONTINUED...
  15. Maybe I'm weird, but for my planned LP, I'm going to want comments and banter in a different topic just for that. Many LPs also count as creative projects, so shouldn't we treat them as that? If not, could I put the feedback thread in the one in the writing board? The member feedback board doesn't allow new topics to be made by normal members it seems, so I posted it here...
  16. Technically "Interdimensional Research Lab" and "Hokulani Observatory" but good enough. @Rex Glacies I haven't played Dream Radar, so this is the only version I know.
  17. You're not supposed to "get" anything in FFtF. @DisobeyedCargo You're two gens off there...not telling you to go back or forward though ;)
  18. Had to record with my 3ds because my phone was playing the music, so it's grainy... First one to name that tune gets a cookie.
  19. Well peeps, wii homebrew doesn't support gamecube save states AT ALL. This is on hold until I find an alternative.
  20. Yeah I totally agree with you there. Mog not being in multiplayer completely kills that mode. I thought about putting the rings in the poll, but aren't they pretty rare? I guess I can put those under "dcat's choice?" Nah, I'll just include them I guess. Call them magic rings. If I get more than one and that option wins I'll pick the one that I get, sound fair? Also, spamming charge shot. Does that mean focus attacks? The dual shooter is the best thing ever and I probably do spam focus attacks sometimes with it, but mostly just on the tougher enemies.
  21. One of my favorite gamecube games! Really the only thing wrong with it in my eyes is not being able to save in the dungeons, and those tend to get longer the further you are in the game. I have found a gamecube launcher for wii homebrew called nintendont, and I think it might support save states, which will fix that problem. No more having to leave the console whirring and the TV off whenever I want to take a break and don't want to start the dungeon over from the beginning. So this is an interest check! I have a few ideas so far: Story of Dee Kat the selkie and her trusty moogle friend, Cheeto (I only do single player) Polls will be made to decide what artifact I pick at the end of a dungeon. The options will always be: Strength Booster Defense Booster Magic Booster HP Booster Extra Command Slot Magic Ring Dcat's choice Simple, right? If the poll picks a choice that doesn't work, it will default to Dcat's choice, like if there are no Strength Boosters available at that time and that's what the poll picked. If Magic Ring wins and I have more than one of those I pick the one I get. Images will come from...a 3ds sitting on a stack of books recording the TV. Sorry...that's my only option. Boss battles will be video recorded and the rest will be just screenshots of important moments. Who's interested, and any tips?
  22. Not sure if it was really burning hatred, but: (spoilers for Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword)
  23. It's a neat idea, but I'll have to second Emperor. Taking away the fact that they're the kids of 1st gen males just seems like...too much of a change. The babyrealms are the most ridiculous things I've ever seen in my life though, I agree with that...I would've rather had a time skip. Because people would hate it if they just recycled the time travel from Awakening, even if it is better anyway.
  24. @buttmuncher.ops It's probably supposed to be like, what cat breed is closest to your personality. Make sense? Final fantasy job: geomancer
