  1. I have a few OCs that would work for this...will probably use my red dragon unless you allow herons. My heron OC is a common heron, which I headcanon to be blue feathered. He has galdr but it's less powerful than that of the royals. His best friend is a hawk, and I also have a tiger...so many choices. I'll be in arc 2. I do have beorc OCs but they're deeply rooted in RD time and I don't feel like tweaking them. The laguz will be easier to do so with.
  2. I see! Interesting. But Shinon was very clearly drunk at one point in PoR...I wonder why no alcohol reference there?
  3. Alcohol reference? Huh. That's new...I mean some characters have acted tipsy *coughShinoncough* but apparently it wasn't enough to warrant alcohol reference in the rating... As someone who finds Henry's recruitment the most hilarious thing ever, I'm all for the innuendo. Half naked women, meh...straight female here. Obviously not everyone is though. But I wouldn't mind the opposite
  4. Nice stuff! I tried heroes sprites before and failed horribly...
  5. Yeah, I assume they would let them out to play with each other, and they got along a little too well lol. Probably the crobats sensed things between them before they were sure of it themselves, and that was their way of getting their trainers to act on it/make a move. It was probably an "omg" situation. Merc would've had one of the zubats, but by the time he was born and old enough to have his own pokemon, all the zubats already had trainers. Adding some text lore to the post with the image.
  6. I'm loling at those Nohrian Scum shorts and the Frederick body pillow and the Silas with the foam finger xD
  7. Nope! Merc's hair is spiky and he got his mom's eye color (red) Also that's not his team. Since Saturn and Mars both have crobats, I made it so trainer relationships can rub off on pokemon and Mars' crobat gave birth one day. All the baby zubats got trainers as well. Speaking of which, I really like my crobat design. Saturn's canon hair style looks like a cat with a bowl cut...it's just wtf stupid to me and it seems like a guy with his personality wouldn't want to look ridiculous like that.
  8. Leaning toward kitsune, but I do like both. Team laguz
  9. Yeah I know the beorc had the victory animations too. OMG, Kurthnaga dusts off his pants? Lol. Must be somebody hacking the game...right? I remember in PoR, maybe RD too but it was more noticeable in the former, when a cavy/paladin dies they dramatically collapse on the horse and the horse just stands there. Maybe not realistic, but memorable for some reason.
  10. RD's animations were awesome, and those victory dances really took the cake. I liked PoR's too, but the victory dances made me vote RD. Okay so...I guess they weren't victory "dances", but still. I'm talking about the animations that happened after a kill. Cats have to clean the blood off their paws and wolves have to howl. I don't remember any beorc victory animations. I love Ike's backflip critical that he only does in the PoR prologue and any time he doesn't actually kill the enemy because of story stuff. It makes him look so awesome. When Smash Bros made him a slow, low jumping tank, I was like, wtf, he's way faster and more agile in his original game because backflips. But as we digress. The only thing that would improve RD's animations is some blood splatters here and there...
  11. I see. I respect that. You don't have to use it. I wasn't aiming for it to be perfect anyway.
  12. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience, but may I ask why you used that as a basis for "0/10 would not use again"? Light and ice, I put them that way because...well, put an ice cube in sunlight or under a lamp and see what happens. Like I said, it's a crapshoot. For every person who says "those traits don't describe me" there are people who find them accurate. @tailfin Awesome.
  13. Google says hair grows on average 0.50 inches or 1.25 centimeters per month. Sooooo, I think your estimate is good.
  14. One of the canons I play in my Pokemon: Turf Wars RP. Saturn of Team Galactic, birth name Slater. With a changed hairstyle because the one in canon is stupid imo. The toxicroak is named Franklin, the crobat is Vincent, and the bronzong is Sputnik. When I design pokemon I like to give them slightly different colors or markings than the default, but not enough to be considered shiny, just enough to individualize them. I also use a semi realistic style or try to. And some lore straight from the RP: Slater "Saturn" Gender: male Age: 37 Hair: blue, tufted Eyes: silver Skin: pale Build: tall Third to be promoted out of himself, Mars, and Jupiter. Calm and somewhat quiet. Skilled and he knows it, has a slight ego. Developed an interest in Mars early on, but was too passive to pursue her, luckily for him she ended up returning the affections. Proud of his son, but sometimes wishes he hadn't inherited his mother's temper. Franklin Species: toxicroak Gender: male Nature: lax Ability: anticipation Moves: sludge bomb, revenge, pursuit, swagger Franklin was Saturn's first pokemon. He's a bit of a glutton, he hoards food like a munchlax, but it doesn't seem to have any negative effects. Vincent Species: crobat Gender: male Nature: bold Ability: inner focus Moves: cross poison, haze, leech life, air cutter Caught as a zubat, Vincent is close to his trainer and likes to perch on his shoulder. Because trainer relationships can rub off on pokemon, he is the father of five zubats by Mars' crobat, Luna. Each of them has its own Galactic member as a trainer. Sputnik Species: bronzong Gender: male/genderless Nature: serious Ability: heatproof Moves: extrasensory, reflect, shadow ball, gyro ball Named after the first man made satellite to go into orbit. Bronzongs are technically genderless but Saturn sees Sputnik as a male and uses male pronouns when referring to it/him.
  15. Before we get started, we have to talk about the elephant in the room. If you remember how I acted in the spriting forum circa 2015ish, there is in fact a legit reason which I will cover in the below spoiler, but if you don't, move along. That being said, I have some rules regarding critique. I am aware I need improvement on things like hands, hair, action poses, backgrounds etc. Please refrain from making your entire comment a critique/telling me I need to work on this that and whatever. I love getting comments on the idea itself. Like if I post a pic of an OC, I'll also post some information on said OC, so you can ask a question that I didn't cover in the description. You may give advice but I'm more likely to take it if you show interest in my ideas and/or tell me what I did right. Art will start in the next post.
  16. @PurpleKawaii Nice! The numbers make my head hurt, but I think it's awesome.
  17. So basically Sain or Kieran. Interesting.
  18. I have never heard "cavalier" being used to describe personality. It's obviously from cavalry, which means horse mounted troops...
  19. The Japanese name for cavalier translates to social knight. Anyone have any idea why? A quick google for "social" brings up this, although I already knew the definition, just here for reference. Maybe they're "social" because you usually get two at the same time in most FE games? Idk... adjective adjective: social 1. relating to society or its organization. "alcoholism is recognized as a major social problem" synonyms: communal, community, collective, group, general, popular, civil, public, societal "a major social problem" antonyms: individual relating to rank and status in society. "a recent analysis of social class in Britain" needing companionship and therefore best suited to living in communities. "we are social beings as well as individuals" relating to or designed for activities in which people meet each other for pleasure. "Guy led a full social life" synonyms: recreational, leisure, entertainment, amusement "a social club" 2. ZOOLOGY (of a bird) gregarious; breeding or nesting in colonies. synonyms: gregarious, interactional; organized "a uniquely social animal" (of an insect) living together in organized communities, typically with different castes, as ants, bees, wasps, and termites do. (of a mammal) living together in groups, typically in a hierarchical system with complex communication. noun noun: social; plural noun: socials 1. an informal social gathering, especially one organized by the members of a particular club or group. "a church social" synonyms: party, gathering, function, get-together, soirée; More
  20. Hey, I didn't attack anybody. I never said your opinions were stupid nor that I didn't want to hear them. I simply said, yes I understand that horoscopes irl are normally dumb and inaccurate, but I enjoy the idea behind them and making headcanons. If you don't, that's okay. Now let's not turn this into an argument that results in a locked thread.
  21. Lol at the 50 shades of blue... I didn't see the quote in the OP anywhere, but I bet Micaiah will be out soon, along with more Tellius peeps.
  22. Well, I never got Sothe's support with Astrid, but at least he fit two traits. But yeah. Exception to every rule and all that.
  23. Holy crap. I didn't consider Shinon and his attitudes toward Ike and Gatrie when I made it. That's cool! Soren is just Grumpy Cat in human form lol. Can totally see "I had fun once, it was awful" with him. Micaiah isn't cosmic, she's dark. Sothe fit wind better in PoR, when he was younger, I think. To everyone saying horoscopes are stupid: I'm not a fan of them either but I like coming up with things like this.
