So I'm curious on what everyone's opinions are on the children characters returning in Fire Emblem If? do you think that they really are the children, or are they just going to be really obvious tributes to them? regardless do you think there going to give a good in game response as to why there is this massive similarity? I don't think I saw a topic about this before so I think I'm safe ^_^U

ya, the brigand example is just one of many scenarios that could happen. imagine a giant battle between three armies at the same time! I'm not to familiar with romhacked fan games, I'll have to look them up later.

I have a theory for mostly the Hoshido route. so in the second trailer, one of the times where it brings up the Hoshido side it shows Ryouma seemingly wounded in a burning building, and Takumi? pointing an arrow seemingly at you, calling you a traitor. So I predict that there will be a faction of the Hoshido that either hates you, or wants to defect to Nohr, that attacks the castle, you then are framed for the attack and have to deal with this faction as well as the Nohr invasion. on the Nohr side we see an image of Marx attacking you, so who knows what happens there. either way I predict that not all of your siblings may survive...but I REALLY hope this isn't the case.

So this is my first time making a topic so hopefully I don't break any rules. So I had an Idea. In fire emblem your units are represented by the color blue. Enemies are identified by the color red. And then other units are identified by the color green. Now the green units are supposed to be generally neutral, but for the most part they are friendly towards you as they never attack you but they will attack enemies and vise versa. so this is where my idea comes in, what if there was another Team Unit, one identified by the color Orange. now these Units will represent a side separate from the enemy and your units, but they can be hostile towards your units as well as enemy units. an example would be brigands. so amusing brigands are not the direct enemy, often times brigands may intrude in on a battle to loot villages. so imagine your battling the enemy and a gang of dangerous brigands show up, they are a danger to you and the enemy, so both are willing to fight them. so I believe having these units would create various different objectives for battles and create very unique battles depending on how you handle these multiple targets. so does all of this make sense? should i explain any thing in more detail? do you guys think this is a good idea?

hmm... then I guess your right on that one. at least they got rid of those RIDICULOUS shoulder pads. still would love for the soldier class to return, however unlikely.

for the most part I agree with her point. for all we know you may actually fight both depending on which you choose, they just showed you one fight for simplicity sake. but if Ryo (Ryoma) IS the only one to attack I think it actually makes some sense, besides attacking just because its the logical move. now I know barley anything about Japanese culture, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but perhaps Ryo is engaging Kamui in a fight for his honor. this would go along with the fact that, at least to me, Ryo is based off a samurai.

the armor that she's wearing does seem pretty light for a knight. i would love to see the soldier class return. as for the whole dark and light magic theory, I feel like this game will have all the classes be split between Nohr and Hoshido, with some classes remaining universal. we can look at the siblings for the best example. Camilla is a wyvern class of some kind, while Hinoka is a Pegasus rider of some kind. "Blarth" is a mage class while Takumi?(has his name been confirmed yet?) is an archer, so maybe Nohr will rely on magic more while Hoshido will rely on archery and whatever Orochi is. and finally "Twin tails" is a troubadour while Sakura, as I pointed out earlier, appears to be a different type of healing class. so in general, the classes that mirror each other (like myrmidon and Mercenary, Fighter and Barbarian) will be split to different areas.

so was the LoZ thing a joke, or do you think it actually has some significance? as far as the song is concerned, it sounds like one of those "future telling prophecy songs".

I REAAAAALLY hope those aren't characters. I want Fire Emblem, not Sexy emblem... T_T

I married Anna in my first play through. because I honestly hate the whole S support abruptness with the marriage ring thing. in the Japanese support with Anna it ended with both of them just admitting they loved each other(at least that's what the Japanese to American support thread said I think), and I really felt like the whole support build up felt very real and relatable. Needless to say I was very mad when I found out that it was the same "LETS GET MARRIED!" as the other supports in our version. as for my second play through I married Tiki, for similar reasons (and that Manakete Morgan do...). As for killing Grima, I always kill him the same way, I have all my other characters trying to protect a paired Chrom/MU and said paired heroes kill Grima, but MU always delivers the final blow in the end... like a Boss...

I don't want Nohr to be completely evil, and I don't want Hoshido to be perfectly good. I am a man who REALLY enjoys grey on grey morality in my stories, and I'm really hoping that neither side will be as black and white as they are set up to be. I want to AGONIZE about which side that I'm going to choose, and even after I choose my side I want to regret it every step of the way. I want to feel the pain in the decisions Kamui is going to have to take.

I agree that in Fire Emblem Awakening the characters were a little bit...cartoony? That might be a good word for it. Even in the DLC chapters a lot of the previous Fire Emblem characters even make fun of them or criticize them for it ( or at least it seems that way to me) so far with what I've seen of IF I get the impression that it is very intense, and I feel the characters will reflect that intensity as well.

I'm sorry if someones already noticed this, but in the Bridge fight ( I'm really sorry,but I'm new here and i don't really know how to pull up stuff other people has posted ^_^U) you see some one who looks like a staff wielder (next to Linca and the green assassin/ninja character) I think this is Sakura. now from what we've seen in previous photo's there is a pink haired cleric (can be seen in the trees in the photo I'm mentioning), believed to be Felicia, so does this mean that there will be another type of healing character? or that maybe Sakura will get here own personal class?

I am very excited for this game. in fact i believe my exact reaction to seeing the first trailer was to shout "I must know more! More!!! MORE!!!!!!!" at mu computer screen. i hope we get that special bundle deal, because i want all the paths!

I'm probably going to do what I did for awakening, ill only spoil characters and some supports... then a week before it comes out in America I'll be sitting alone in my room one night and go "AWW EFF IT!!!" and spoil EVERYTHING. I am also happy to see that our global moderators are so passionate about fire emblem. ^_^

I am very fond of the Tactician class, but I also agree that its place was with Awakening. but what if they made a DLC or something that allowed you to transfer your Avatar from awakening? they could also bring Chrom, and maybe Lucinia into the game. then you could have the Tactician class but still not have it affect the story.

So I'm not sure if this is a question for a different topic, but I read the rules and I wanted to know if there is any unspoken rules that i should keep in mind, and maybe I can get some tips on how to survive and make friends here.
