  1. They might have more 1-2 range weapons.
  2. Of course not, but the characters do function independently from one another. But really, this type of thinking is what made me apprehensive to use units like say... Kieran because people are just like "he's not as good as Oscar and Titania and isn't worth it." Stuff like that. The reality is that Kieran was a good unit, and was good enough to use in PoR. And people doing that whole "____" is bad because "___" exists sucks for the growth units versus pre-promos, because it severely underrates the growth unit a good portion of the time. No one would say, how good Pent is, but Erk is no slouch either.
  3. That was merely an example. What I mean is stuff like Ross versus Garcia. Ross isn't bad because Garcia exists, Ross should be bad on his own terms. Whether you're selling it or not, it shouldn't be "Dart isn't worth using because Hawkeye exists." It should be "Dart isn't worth using because the Ocean Seal is 25k that you could sell it for." This could go on and on.
  4. No. Especially if pairings are going to be a thing like Awakening. Cordelia should have been able to support with Chrom. Even if she couldn't marry him, they should have had supports. Honestly, if it comes back, I'd love a support where she realizes she doesn't truly love the lord like that.

  6. Personally? PoR myrmidons are overrated. Mia is just... Lame. Nothing but attack and she's not even great at it, and lame durability. Zihark isn't much better, and has a weakness to magic to the point that even Wyvern units would be shocked by how much damage he takes from magic. I liked them in earlier ones, but I just feel that the swordmasters got overall weaker as the series went farther after FE4. Pre-Promotes in general now. I remember when people used to not like them a ton, but now people praise pre-promotes a bit too much at moments and fault growth units in the most bizarre ways. For instance, Hawkeye not being bad doesn't somehow make Dart this absolutely abysmal unit to use. Sure, the Ocean Seal is a huge fundings hit, but most people don't even play for ranked, so how is this a problem outside of finding the seal in the desert? And why can't I want to use two berserkers? Ugh. Yeah, it kinda bothers me.
  7. Well at least now with durability gone, that's a thing of the past. Having 1 Bolt Axe means that you can have one guy or gal be your magical axe user. And if War Clerics/Monks make a return, THIS would be a very good thing. It gives a unit a niche on your team that's unique with 1-2 range, AND magical and possibly no restrictions on doubling. Probably, as there would be more situations where a double strike even from a magical base might do better than a single chop from a hand axe.
  8. This sounds like a good thing. Maybe we'll get more 1-2 range style weapons since they nerfed the ability to double? I don't know if it'll help the "archer problem" as the problem with archers is just that they had god awful stats more than anything else. That said, it's a good idea to finally be doing something about a problem that's been in the series for so long.
  9. I think my biggest problem with him, is how nothing he really does adds up with how antagonistic he was in PoR.
  10. Yeah, but aren't we talking about if you bothered leveling him up for endgame? I mean we aren't talking someone like Laura where you level her up and then by the end, she's still awful.

  12. No. They usually just pick one. Most of the time it's male. It's just one of those things. Besides, considering that we can customize the character, it means very little to me.

  14. I don't know, he feels kinda like an archer in that sense. Limited enemy phase, but a really strong player phase. He's just weird in the fact that he's pretty much locked at 1 range though. I'd say archers were 2, but crossbows technically exist. But I did have fun using Ranulf, and didn't feel that he was incredibly terrible like he other cats. Ugh.
  15. It'd be interesting if the different types of bloodlines caused different pair up effects.
  16. Ranulf is awesome by endgame. You can take that one stone that leaves him transformed the whole chapter, and then chant the night away and watch him wreck things. His stats are no joke. Cat Gauge is his only weakness, and in his case, it actually kinda feels balanced...
  17. It doesn't mess anything up. All you have to do is change them when they first appear on the map, and they'll be that class for the rest of the game. The game really doesn't care, and palettes are not a problem. It'll just load a generic blue palette.
  18. Okay, I've looked about as many places as I could and I still can't find the solution. Is there any way to actually edit enemy luck stats in Fire Emblem 7? The bosses seem to have some affects from it, but the standard enemies seem to not have luck. It's weird, because it works in FE8, but FE7? What is going on? Does anyone have some documentation for hex values or anything for where this might be to fix that? Or do I just need to keep digging?
  19. Oh? I didn't realize that you guys were still working on FE7x. I was looking forward to that so much. I liked all of the crazy young versions of the characters. Wallace with hair was too much. I'm glad it's still a thing.
  20. It depends on what happens as a result of its removal. If weapons are having their durability removed and instead we get more weapons that do more interesting things, I'm fine with it, as you can now make that cool weapon like the Rapier that people aren't afraid to use because they "might need it for something good," Or weapons having "MP" or something that gives them abilities that can run out and need to be recharged, again, I'm fine. There are plenty of instances where I can see the removal as a good thing, but we'll have to wait and see.
  21. I'm hoping dual guard for completely nullifying attacks is a skill that only knights can use. That'd be cool. Maybe it'll be something where you decide if you want certain pairs to go for strikes, counters or blocks? There are a lot of options that pair up can potentially do, so I hope they don't get rid of it.

  23. People that complain about people for having legitimate gripes with a game. This isn't even necessarily addressing the topic itself, but more so things like you complaining about a glitch being unacceptable and then being upset about losing progress, and the general mentality is "WELL YOU SHOULD HAVE SAVED." I had this once happen to me in XCOM Ironman at the last mission, and needless to say, I was pissed. It took me so long to come around to actually beating that. I mean it's not the only game either, but this is one that just rubbed me the wrong way because I was held accountable for something that shouldn't have happened...

Based on aesthetics for me: Lucina x Laurent Kjelle x Owain I second Gerome x Cynthia Nah x Yarne Morgan x Brady - I honestly like Morgan with anyone Inigo x Severa Someone has to be forever alone in this case, I'm leaving Noire unpaired. I think the only person she goes well with is Yarne in terms of aesthetics and conversations. Support wise, it gives you a galeforce user for each pair and some of them have GF with both units. Although, my preferences seem to be a bit mixed. The only one that goes well together is probably Gerome and Inigo with their mates. Laurent can't be a physical dude with Ricken as his dad as easily. He's lacking every faire outside of Tomefaire. And I think the only magic class Lucina gets from Olivia is Dark Flier, and you are lacking a faire for magic because you don't have sage, so that could be a problem. The rest are kinda questionable outside of Morgan who can do everything and Brady who is fine. I'm no expert, and I haven't played FE13 in a while and haven't really played since I've finished Lunatic(+) so someone might be a better choice for optimization.
