  1. You know, I don't even mind so much that FE6 Knights have 4 move on big maps. It sucks, but it doesn't make them unsalvageable. But Wendy sucks at being a novelty character as a girl Knight, sucks at being a Knight, and just sucks at the game in general. Characters like Wendy make me think that IS made the game imbalanced on purpose. However, I don't like giving 0s, so Wendy can get the Planck unit of rating. 6.63 x 10^-34.

  7. TBH, I've always found Wrath a bit superfluous. The only people who he isn't ORKOing with just the Pursuit Ring are, IIRC, Ishtar, Hilda, Alvis, Julius, and maybe a couple of the Dark Warlords, and he's got a 30%+ Critical and 40%+ Continue from Levin on top of that. Wrath won't help you with Julius, but I suppose it can help with Hilda and Alvis. I guess it can help you conserve Holsety uses by letting you use Elwind or something against random mooks, but he's probably got the Bargain Ring anyways.

  9. I find Ambush the better skill that Lex passes down to Arthur... it lets him survive more than one or two units at a time. But Levin!Arthur is better, so it doesn't really matter. Chapter 6 Holsety is great, and he can actually get people to attack him sometimes without being on a road, unlike Sety. Great offence and only really gets hit by Dark Mages, Julius, and Ishtar. And he's also got a good shot at a passed down Bargain Ring to help with the expenses. 9.5/10 because I just prefer Sety to Arthur.

    FE7 Draft

I didn't have any Archers, so I waited out the 11 turns in Chapter 24. That's 114 turns total. Eliwood held off the magical units in the northwest until Marcus could get there, and Sain went down to the Hammerne village. Pent traded Priscilla the Physic. Eliwood: Level 14 Lord Marcus: Level 13 Paladin Guy: Level 4 Swordmaster Priscilla: Level 8 Troubadour Sain: Level 7 Paladin Lucius: Level 3 Bishop Ninian: Level 3 Dancer Hawkeye: Level 4 Berserker Chapter 25 finished in 11 turns; 125 total. That was the first time since my very first playthrough that I've ever unlocked Kenneth's map... had to slow down a bit so as not to kill too many promoted units, and to recruit Harken. Got the Guiding Ring too. I had Priscilla carry Lowen, Marcus carry Matthew, and Sain carry Eliwood, to prevent them from getting Purged, and to get Eliwood to the throne quicker. Snow is dumb... Eliwood: Level 14 Lord Marcus: Level 14 Paladin Guy: Level 5 Swordmaster Priscilla: Level 9 Troubadour Sain: Level 7 Paladin Lucius: Level 4 Bishop Ninian: Level 3 Dancer Hawkeye: Level 5 Berserker Harken: Level 8 Hero Chapter 26 had to be waited out the 15 turns... 140 total. Half my team went one way, the other half went the other. Harken blew up Ursula with the Brave Sword. I got all the chests by letting the enemy Thieves get them first and then killing them. Couldn't be assed to go to 26x, so I didn't let Nino talk to Jaffar. Hmm... probably going to give the Boots to Harken or Ninian. Eliwood gets a horse after next chapter anyways. Will probably promote Priscilla for next chapter too. Eliwood: Level 15 Lord Marcus: Level 15 Paladin Guy: Level 5 Swordmaster Priscilla: Level 10 Troubadour Sain: Level 8 Paladin Lucius: Level 5 Bishop Ninian: Level 4 Dancer Hawkeye: Level 5 Berserker Harken: Level 9 Hero A 14 turn clear of CoD gives me 154 turns total. Holy fuck, I hate this chapter even on Eliwood Mode. I used up basically the whole Brave Sword, half the Brave Lance, and at least two Killer weapons. I ended up giving the Boots to Harken- I don't get Ninian/Nils back again until VoD, and I figure Harken saved me more turns here than Ninian would have with the Boots. Sain got Warp. Eliwood: Level 16 Lord Marcus: Level 17 Paladin Guy: Level 7 Swordmaster Priscilla: Level 4 Valkyrie Sain: Level 9 Paladin Lucius: Level 7 Bishop Ninian: Level 5 Dancer Hawkeye: Level 8 Berserker Harken: Level 13 Hero 8 turns for Chapter 28 gives me 162 turns. Marcus took the left and Harken took the right. Harken baited out Georg. No one killed him. Oh well, no Tomahawk. Hand Axes are normally good enough anyways. Eliwood: Level 2 Knight Lord Marcus: Level 17 Paladin Guy: Level 7 Swordmaster Priscilla: Level 4 Valkyrie Sain: Level 9 Paladin Lucius: Level 7 Bishop Hawkeye: Level 8 Berserker Harken: Level 13 Hero Ugh FE7 has a lot of defend maps that you can't finish early... 173 turns total after Chapter 29. Those Druids and Swordmasters were annoying. Lol, Harken's gained 7 levels in the last 4 chapters. My other characters didn't level up so quickly even when they were unpromoted. Eliwood: Level 3 Knight Lord Marcus: Level 17 Paladin Guy: Level 8 Swordmaster Priscilla: Level 4 Valkyrie Sain: Level 9 Paladin Lucius: Level 8 Bishop Hawkeye: Level 9 Berserker Harken: Level 15 Hero Chapter 29x took 5 turns; I bought some stuff but was too lazy to do the Arena. Also, I made a dumb mistake and only bought weapons, and not tomes or staves. 178 turns total. Hopefully I have enough... Chapter 30 was 7 turns, so that's 185 turns total. I had Sain and Guy go get Renault for that shiny Fortify staff, while everyone else went through the middle. Priscilla warped Harken over the river, and Eliwood the next turn. Lol, I don't even have space for Renault in my final roster. Eliwood: Level 5 Knight Lord Marcus: Level 17 Paladin Guy: Level 9 Swordmaster Priscilla: Level 5 Valkyrie Sain: Level 11 Paladin Lucius: Level 8 Bishop Hawkeye: Level 9 Berserker Harken: Level 17 Hero Nils: Level 6 Bard Part 1 of Light took 8 turns, for 193 turns total. Harken and Athos gogogo. That was possibly the luckiest chapter I have ever had in FE. I had people with Killer weapons get double crits 5 times in a row. Literally, anyone with a Killer weapon in their hand got a critical. Marcus even got one on Lloyd with a Spear. Athos was the only reason I could kill Darin; he and Lucius were the only people dealing more than 5 damage to him. Nils helped Athos attack Nergal twice with Aureola, and then Harken finished him with a Brave Sword quadruple hit. Part 2 of Light took 3 turns, for 196 turns total. Alas, no Luna, or I could've 2 turned it. Eliwood and Athos were the only people who could damage the Dragon, so they attacked every turn, and Nils helped Priscilla double Fortify for them, and let Athos double attack on Turn 3. Yay, my first completed draft!

  19. Well, I've never used Lilina in HM, but I used her once in NM and she got pretty SPD screwed, so I guess it'd kinda be like average SPD Lilina on HM. It was... pretty bad. I think there were even a couple Armors/Generals she couldn't double... But she has kinda accurate and powerful chip, assuming she can be protected. OFC, that chip would probably be worse in HM with better enemy durability so.. 3/10? +1 bias because I like her support conversations, -1 bias for blue hair and not Sigurd/Celice, +1 bias for being Hector's daughter, so 4/10 overall I guess.

    Advice

http://grandbell.net/index.php/fe4walkthroughmain Check that out. It's the site I followed the first time through FE4 for pairing advice and information on all of the events. It also doesn't spoil much of the plot.
  22. Another thing they could do is to have Archers unequip their bows when they face a 1-range attack, like Mages in FE7 under the Magic Seal. If they're losing speed from their bows, it could increase their avoid on EP 1-range, which makes more sense to me than them trying to punch the guy who's slashing at them with a sword. If they're not really suffering an AS loss, you could just give them, say, 15 avoid.
  23. Just because a book is based off another one doesn't automatically make it bad. IIRC, Jordan fully admitted that there were parallels between his story and Tolkien's, and that those parallels were intentional. But the parallels are actually rather superficial. And although the style of writing and book is similar, the plot is actually not very similar at all. The Inheritance Cycle is a copy, that's true, but that wasn't why it wasn't great. There were a lot of other, much more serious flaws made by Paolini than a copied plot. LotR itself is, as people have said, rather wordy, and they're great books, and Tolkien basically created a genre, but I, personally, have always felt that Tolkien paid more attention to his world than to his plot or characters.
  24. Never played the game, but there's someone called Yoda. Use him. If he sucks, you can use his own line against him.
