Aren't some of Fate/GO's stories really popular? While some gacha stories are bad, I think it comes down to how much the devs/ writers care than a problem with the medium itself. Heck, HoYoverse's games are all gachas and they all have good to great plots (you can argue that Genshin and Star Rail feel more like console games ported to mobile but that still leaves HI3 and their older titles). And while I wasn't a fan of them myself, Yoko Taro's mobile games have a lot of fans too. So FEH could have a great story if the writers cared about more than having an excuse to introduce new OCs and Heroes, it's just that they don't want to. At least some of the Forging Bonds and Paralogues have some nice interactions. As others have said, it's not explicitly stated that each antagonist is stronger than the previous one (though obviously the first three Books raised the stakes) and while the units have gotten powercrept, that sort of power scaling shows up in a lot of stories anyway. Edit: I forgot what I came here to say! @Mercakete: In hindsight while Ratatoskr looks like a nurse, her role as a messenger (i.e. she travels around a lot) may mean she's more about emergency care or first aid... which would still require her to stick around and look after her patients, so the outfit still makes sense.

I think each sister deals with a different type of healthcare? Nidhoggr does medicine, Ratatoskr is a nurse/ general care and I think Hresvelgr uses syringes or scalpels which would make her a surgeon various surgical equipment (e.g. scissors and scalpels). Maybe Vedrfolnir the hawk, but given the horn I suspect is Gjallarhorn she may be Heimdallr mixed with the unnamed eagle Vedrfolnir sits on instead (instead of Hresvelgr).

We still haven't been to the Dread Isle to be fair, I hear he awaits us there.

I know, but a bad design is still a bad design. It stands out even more for Lucina because how sensible her outfits tend to be. Yeah, I'm already a fan of the more conservative outfits (outside of Nidhoggr, but there's always one) and the clear outfit inspiration for Ratatoskr is great too!

Gotcha, thanks! So we're getting another Book 2 situation where the story and datamines came out before the units, but this time we already know who to expect. EDIT: I checked the Feh Channel and this is exactly it. Book VIII is tomorrow, the banner is the day after. Weird that they're doing that again, but they already told us everyone to expect and gave us most of their skills and statlines, so it's not as big a deal if they're datamined (and only one day early this time).

Right, but it's a good choice for sub-realm given what it is. Yeah... but hey, Hrid is still alive and... somewhere, so... I'm curious if Odin is the overarching villain here and if he's trying to split the two kingdoms apart before attacking in Book 9, or if the assassinations are part of some "greater good" thing on Hresvelgr and Nidhoggr's part.

Like zombie father, like living daughter? I'm surprised she wasn't Attuned to be honest, but alternating between Hero types makes more sense especially since it gave us our second Axe. Sadly I wouldn't be surprised if Ascended Units were slowly phased out or at least made rarer compared to the other two new types. Yeah... I still want to get her, but... yeah. Which sucks because Lucina was the one female character from the 3DS games who always got proper outfits... and sucks even more because the top half of her art looks really cool. I almost thought she drawn by Resplendent Brave Lucina's artist! Don't jinx it! They're all based on animals who live on Yggdrasil and there are quite a few birds, so this checks out. I hate that we didn't get any QoL features beyond "buying Otherworld Bonds is more enticing now" though. Maybe we'll get them for the anniversary but that's still two more months of waiting for something we may not even get better inheritance. She was in Fjorm's music video and that's it.

You know the drill. What do you think? Ratatoskr's animal form is way more cartoony than I expected and it's nice to have her fawn over someone who isn't Kiran for a change. I didn't expect Yggdrasil to be its own setting but I guess it counts as a "realm between realms" instead of the ninth? The bounty hunter angle could be fun and the designs are decent* and we may finally learn what the deal is with Henriette! Maybe! Also, Feh said something about the assassins messing with Askr and Embla's reconciliation whicih makes me think they're part of some false flag operation? * Too bad Lucina lost her pants as a result. She always had decent outfits until now.

Exactly! If anything that would give them a blank check to do whatever they wanted in the future. Of course they could also pull a reverse God of War and let Alfonse kill his way through Greece next. (Though now I'm wondering if they'll save Ragnarok for Book 9 and do something else here instead.) Me neither, but I like seeing the environments and themes FEH uses for its version of realms. Ooh, you may be onto something there! ... anyway, any other gameplay features you all want to see? 😛

Just so I know for the future, what's the best generic build for a Godsword right now: Vital Astra or Godlike Reflexes + Atk/Spd Finish 4 + Spurn 4 (or Velocity 4 when that happens) + Incite Atk/Spd or Atk/Spd Oath 4? And while I don't have the fodder to spare to make this happen yet, B!Eirika's best build at the moment is Atk/Spd Clash 4 (or Flared Sparrow) + Moonlight Bangle + Incite Atk/Spd, right? Considering Baldr is treated as "the ultimate good guy" in Norse myth I'm curious how FEH would adapt that (genderflipped or not). I'd like this too, though again I wouldn't be surprised if at least one OC was genderflipped from Norse "canon". P.S. @Acacia Sgt What's the joke about Frigg?

Thankfully Thorr and Loki have already referred to him with male pronouns, but we should probably check with someone who knows Japanese to make sure that wasn't a translation error. That's a good idea actually. At least Life and Death referenced the Lifvengers but Dreams and Nihility did absolutely nothing with that (yet, anyway).

The update launches on Dec 6th which means we'll either get a Feh Channel on Monday or Tuesday (the Book 7 reveal happened two days in advance, the Book 6 reveal one day in advance unless I've gotten my time zones mixed up). What would you like to see? There's only one realm left to explore unless FEH throws a curveball and sends us to one of the possible alternate realms that have shown up in Norse myth - and to be fair that's likely since the game shows no signs of dying any time soon. As for QoL features I just want an increase to inheritable skills, please and thank you. Maybe we could get a new store we can spend some of our excess materials for one-skill combat manuals (e.g. Atk/Spd Clash) at but that's a stretch and just increasing the inheritance limit would probably be much easier.

Yeah, I was surprised by that too, considering she even tanked a Ruptured Sky from my Brave Eirika (Gullveig went out in one hit). I like that they both have different roles: Gullveig is a nuke, Kvasir is a tank... though of course they're both terrifying in practice. By the way, is Incite now the go-to C Skill for Cavs who already have Canto instead of Alarm? It's nice that both units have skills that are relatively easy to inherit despite being so premium compared to those we've gotten over the last few months.

This was such a cool detail, I really liked it. But it just hit me: what happened to Veronica? Gullveig letting her go made me think she'd come back later but... nope. I always thought the insistence on shoehorning Veronica into the plots was annoying, but it's weird that the first time her getting involved made sense (since Askr and Embla are formally allies as of Book VI) she... didn't. I guess she could be saved for a Book 7 TT, but... probably not. But speaking of, following Seidr with two voices in her head could be pretty funny. I wonder if her other forms will stay in her head going forward or will canonically get separate bodies or something (not counting alts and summons, obviously).

So Oath 4 + Fleeting Echo is the better choice? Gotcha. As for Fireflood not being very good, I hope I don't regret getting Ginnungagap instead of an Isadora to fodder off. I'll just cross my fingers and hope we get a good dagger merge project so I can at least give them Lethality and Fatal Smoke 4. The only recent-ish one I have a decent number of right now is Colm, I believe. I like the guy though, so that's nice.

New question, if I may: one of my pitybreakers on the new banner was FE4 Arthur, which means I now have Spd/Res Menace. I'm going to give her Atk/Spd Ideal 4, but would og!Nino like Spd/Res Menace + Atk Oath Echo or Atk/Spd Oath 4 + Fleeting Echo? (I'm assuming this would work for Teatime Tailtiu too.) P.S. WHAT IS THIS LUCK? I got all the way to 82 summons. 3 4* focuses, 3 pity breakers, absolutely no focus 5*s. At all. I just sparked Nino and Ginnungagap. Hopefully this means my future pulls/ pulls in other games will go better... 💀

Gotcha. I'll just use Fang!Nino to clone Atk/Spd Ideal and Oath 4 instead. That's a good use of her, right?
