  1. Here ya go! I just put in all the children... for science. [spoiler=because long post is loooooong][spoiler=Shinonome] [spoiler=Kisaragi] [spoiler=Gurei] [spoiler=Mitama] [spoiler=Hisame] [spoiler=Matoi] [spoiler=Syalla] [spoiler=Kinu] [spoiler=Siegbert] [spoiler=Foleo] [spoiler=Soleil] [spoiler=Ophelia] [spoiler=Eponine] [spoiler=Lutz] [spoiler=Ignis] [spoiler=Velour] [spoiler=Shigure] [spoiler=Deere] [spoiler=Sophie] [spoiler=Midoriko] [spoiler=Female Kanna] [spoiler=Male Kanna]
  2. I finished giving all the children cotton candy hair (even Shigure), and have learned that I really need to practice coloring, because some of the children look so... silly. Coloring the bangs pink was a mistake, I shouldn't have done it.
  3. I agree. An army of cotton candy cavaliers... But yeah, programming that would've taken a lot of time. Won't stop me from messing around with the Live2D models, though.
  4. So, I got a bit bored and decided to make models for the children characters with Pieri's "cotton candy" hair color. Don't know if someone's done this already, but I'm working on doing it for all the children. [spoiler=Example]
  5. Awww... thank you! I finally added the rest of the bios for my other Kamuis, but I'm glad you liked the "Unofficial Titles" I came up with. I love throwing in silly little things like that, and it's good practice trying to sum up an entire character in just a few words.
  6. Might as well jump on this bandwagon, too. (I've got so many Kamuis planned; I'll add bios as I come up with them.) Hoshido: [spoiler=Spoiler for length] Name: Ren Unofficial Title: Scion of Justice (she'd get along well with Odin and Arthur) Asset: Speed Flaw: Strength Secondary Class: Pegasus Warrior Spouse: Takumi Bio: Due to growing up sheltered, Ren is very naive and prone to thinking of things like they were in a storybook. She has a firm sense of right and wrong (Xander taught her well) and believes that justice and mercy should be the principles she strives to uphold. It truly pained her to betray Nohr, but she just couldn't bring herself to stand with the country that launched unprovoked attacks against innocent civilians. Her love of Nohr (and mindset that it's still her homeland) was definitely a point of tension between her and Takumi until she was able to make him understand that she turned her back on everything she knew in order to do what she believes is the right thing. Name: Himeji Unofficial Title: The Quiet Tempest Asset: Strength Flaw: Speed Secondary Class: Fighter Spouse: Yuugiri Bio: Quick to anger, Himeji learned early on that it was never a good idea to let his family in Nohr know what he was feeling. If they knew, then they would hover around him, doing all they could to make him feel better. And he hated it. He hated that they had freedom and influence while he was locked away in a fortress, and he detested that they were always trying to make him feel at home. Himeji only ever told Elise how he really felt because she really felt like a younger sister to him. To everyone else, he was calm and collected. But when he learned that he was really Hoshidan, he snapped, hurling so many insults at his Nohrian kin (especially Xander) that he was sure he burned those bridges. Since finding his place in Hoshido, Himeji has actually calmed down a lot, discovering simple joy in domestic work with Yuugiri, the older woman teaching him far better than Jakob ever did. Name: Alexi Unofficial Title: Smallest Hunter Asset: Speed Flaw: Defense Secondary Class: Outlaw Spouse: Kisaragi Bio: A timid girl at heart, she surprised everyone by being a natural with the bow. Alexi wanted to study archery, but was pushed into swordplay by her father, and she did it without question because, to her, blood ties are as important as the head on her shoulders. She chose Hoshido purely out of respect for her true family, and began crying at the drop of a hat any time someone mentioned the "family" she left in Nohr. Nohr: [spoiler=Spoiler for length] Name: Maiko Unofficial Title: The Patriot Asset: Defense Flaw: Luck Secondary Class: Lancer Spouse: Kaze Bio: Maiko knows that Nohr isn't perfect. She knows that the people are rough and harsh and maybe even a bit crude, and the land itself is anything but hospitable, but she loves the country anyway. Hoshido is a wonderful country with wonderful people... but Nohr needs her more. She would throw herself into the fire to help her country become a better place, even if it means she'll have to fight her blood family sooner or later. She clings to her husband more than she probably should, but Maiko wants to hold onto any piece of the land of her birth she can, asking Kaze for stories of Hoshido and what life there was like. She will literally listen to him for hours at a time. Name: Nago Unofficial Title: Loyal Hound Asset: Magic Flaw: Skill Secondary Class: Priest Spouse: Zero Bio: Nago doesn't care for politics at all. He'd rather sit at home and study tomes with Leo than brandish his sword at someone. With all the confusion about where he belonged in the world after Nohr began its invasion, he couldn't think of one good reason to stay in Hoshido. All he wanted to do was return to the family he knew loved him and wouldn't look at him with such distrust. (Yeah, you can legitimately blame Takumi for Nago's decision.) Invisible Kingdom: [spoiler=Spoiler for length] Name: Lamia Unofficial Title: Fox with Sour Grapes Asset: Defense Flaw: Skill Secondary Class: Mercenary Spouse: Undecided (Belka, maybe? idk) Bio: Lamia would've been perfectly content living out the rest of his days inside that Nohrian fortress... at least, that's what he told himself. The thought that all the things he wants would never be within his grasp left him very bitter about the world (and with a sharp tongue to match). He's convinced himself that he can never be happy, merely content, and so quashes his love with sheer determination and a voice in his head telling him that those things weren't worth loving anyway. So, when his siblings began fighting over him at the border, Lamia turned his back on both of them, blaming his Nohrian kin for lying to him and his Hoshidan kin for not coming to rescue him. He only follows Azura because she understands his situation; he's not holding out any hope that his families will ever welcome him back. Name: Jishu Unofficial Title: The Bleeding Heart Asset: Speed Flaw: Resistance Secondary Class: Samurai Spouse: Xander Bio: Jishu simply can't let anything go unloved. Ever since she was little, she's cared about everyone and everything. Elise and Sakura swear they heard her heart breaking when she was thrust in between the warring nations, and, unable to choose a side, she fled the field. Name: Yaji Unofficial Title: Sick of all this s*** so screw all of you I'm going to live in Kouga with the hubby Asset: HP Flaw: Skill Secondary Class: Oni Savage Spouse: Asyura Bio: Her bark is worse than her bite, but even that reassurance from Jakob or Felicia does little when Yaji herself is a foul-mouthed, brawl enthusiast. She throws herself into whatever she does, thinking that it doesn't matter if she gets hurt in the process since even her own father didn't seem to care about her. Yaji honestly didn't know why everyone was so intent on her choosing their side and so promptly flipped the bird to both crown princes and left... only to come back since she knew the root of the war and felt obligated to fix the issue. She and Asyra almost require each other's presence now, since they prop each other up with reassurances that the other isn't as worthless as they think, and it does wonders for their self-esteem.
  7. Kaze. Definitely Kaze. I have a distinct "husbando" bias towards the Abel in this pair (are they still the Cain and Abel of this game?), but there are a few other reasons I can point to. First, I prefer characters who are polite, nice, or at the very least, not outright rude you can call me kisama all you want Saizou just let me listen to your sexy voice I mean what? so I prefer Kaze in the personality department, even though Saizou is certainly more complex than he lets on. Second, I get a strong feeling from Kaze that his loyalty towards Kamui is due to some sort of "life debt" thing. Characters who are willing to commit to something like that get a huge boost in my opinion (so much so that I unironically liked Jar Jar Binks in Star Wars... and still do).
  8. Y'know... I feel bad about not listing more female characters in my earlier post. So, just going by the female characters (so my "husbando" bias won't be a factor), here's my favorite characters for each category: Shared Route: Hoshido: Nohr: Child: Overall: (Again, I haven't read every single support, so my opinions are bound to change at least slightly, especially once it's released in NA.)
  9. So, I haven't seen the entirety of Fates's story nor read every single translated support conversation, so these favorites are probably not going to stick. But I love that there's now a character love thread to balance out the character hate thread, so I'm joining in with what I think so far. Also, one of the characters is only my second-favorite because my overall favorite is, well, my overall favorite and I don't want to list a character twice. (Warning: this post contains gushing about characters. You have been warned.) Favorite Character(s) Shared? Favorite Nohrians? Favorite Hoshidans? Favorite Kids? Favorite All-Round?
  10. I read that Silas/Charlotte A-rank, and my first thought was "Silas confirmed as army psychologist?"
  11. I don't know if this is new, but I just saw that the Saizou/Oboro support was translated.
  12. *slams hands on desk* Oboro does his hair! I will accept no other headcanon! XD (she really does talk about his hair style with Hinata in their supports)
  13. To be honest, I was really, really trying to stay out of this discussion. I'm a very non-confrontational person, so I try to avoid sticky debates like this subject. However, as someone who un-ironically loves the "shipping" aspect of FE, I thought I should, at the very least, try to explain why I like "shipping" in the FE games. [spoiler=Sorry, this gets kinda ramble-y]I honestly love romance aspects in games. It's something I enjoy, especially if there's a self-insert character like the MU. If I know that a game has romance in it, then I'm more likely to buy it. But if romance is the only thing I like going for a game, then I'll drop it immediately. This happened with me and Mass Effect; I really like the characters in that series (and wanted my Shepherd to romance Garrus. I still want this) but I absolutely hate shooters. I tried playing ME2 for the story and RPG aspects; didn't work. I just couldn't get past how much of a shooter the game is, even on the lowest difficulty. So, I dropped the game because I didn't like the core mechanics, even though I wanted to play for the side mechanics. As for other games doing romance better than FE, I know. I've played Persona, both 3 and 4, so I know that those games do "shipping" a heck of a lot better than FE. However, they also have an additional 6 conversations to build things up, which they can get away with because those games are really, really long. I haven't re-played the games to completion even once because of their length. I've done similar things in the Dragon Age games because I'm a completionist, getting the side content I want and then kinda forgetting about that playthrough. FE, though... I've played all of the localized games at least 3 times. They're easier games to try things out in because they don't take 80+ hours to finish. But I digress. FE is a series I love for the the core gameplay. The fact that romance is an option just makes me like it even more. But I wouldn't even touch a game where the main objective is the romance/"shipping". I don't want to play a game where the end goal is to get in another character's pants; I want to play a game where I'm saving the world, ending a war, or going on an adventure. If there's the option for romance along the way, then I'll like it even better. tl;dr "Shipping" is a bonus for me, not the selling point.
  14. I know it's more complex than that. I was just going off of what I remember from my genetics courses, but those focused more on statistics than how the genes themselves interact. (Plus, it's been a few years, so my memory's a bit foggy on the specifics.)
  15. I don't know if his hair would qualify as "silver," but I have no idea what color that is. Anyway... ... I think waaaaaaaay too much about genetics in fiction, don't I? Happy to help!
  16. I have no idea if this is the right thread to post this on, but I just noticed something! [spoiler=Not sure if this is a spoiler, but gonna put it in one just in case]After watching this little bit from the "Vs Takumi" cutscene about 20 times, I realized that Takumi kinda... "pops" his arm back when pulling the Fuujin bow to full draw. As an archer myself, I can say that I've never done that while drawing a recurve bow. It's more of a smooth draw, like... ah, here's a good example. Well, Takumi's bow looks a lot more like a recurve bow, but that little "pop" at the end of his draw reminded me far more of how one would draw a compound bow. (Same guy in both links, just different bow.) My conclusion: I believe that the Fuujin bow acts like a compound bow, meaning that Takumi can hold it at full draw far longer than one could hold a recurve at full draw (seriously, holding a bow at full draw is exhausting, and I'm so glad Takumi mentions it in his supports with Kamui) and it can fire with a lot more force than a recurve of comparable size (kinda reflected in the Fuujin bow's stats, with a higher might than the normal bows). Don't mind me, though. Just geeking out over bows and stuff. I really like Takumi as a character (for about the same reasons as everyone else has already posted in this thread), so I just wanted to add what I noticed, even though it's just about his bow.
  17. Ah, okay... Wait, I think iTunes is the only music player I've got. Dang it! (goes off to see if other programs are available)
  18. Thank you for posting these. Unfortunately, I think I may have done something wrong; whenever I download these, the audio is all warbled. I don't know if it's just the compute or browser I'm using or if something's going wrong when I unzip the files. Has anyone else run into this problem?
  19. Wait, Travis played Lon'qu?! (goes to IMDB) Huh... well I'll be darned. I actually didn't know that. But you're right. Ryoma does kinda sound like Lon'qu based on the two lines of dialogue we got from that trailer. Based on his other roles, I would no longer be surprised if Travis Willingham turns out to be Ryoma's VA.
  20. That... that sounds like it would be perfect. (Great, I've started punning already. >.<) I... honestly can't hear it for Ryoma. But, then again, I'm mostly going off of the voices Travis Willingham's done as Roy Mustang from FMA and Ginko from Mushi-Shi, and he sounds pretty similar in those roles. I've really gotta expand my knowledge of VA's and their work.
  21. If Travis Willingham isn't voicing Garon, then I will eat my hat.
  22. This... is incredibly sad news to hear. And I feel so ashamed that I had no idea just how much of an impact this man has had on my life until reading the statement from Nintendo (plus other information I've read since). I only hope that I - and the many friends I have who grew up with Nintendo - will become part of a legacy you can be proud of. Satoru Iwata, rest in peace. May all of Heaven welcome you with open arms.
  23. I've only seen his skinship dialogue here. No other videos, so far as I know.
  24. Can I borrow this headcanon? I'll need it for the playthroughs where I marry Kamui to Kisaragi or Shinonome.
