  1. You only need a dark seal to access dark bishop. There is no requirement that says you need to have dark mage previously. Although most people will go DM > DB on principle but not a requirement.
  2. Mate I thank you since for the tip about training Catherine in lance and flying to later get her into Falcon Knight. I guess I was to gunho letting her remain in Swordmaster/MS class with this my team will be more versatile in the long run and a decent mage killer which I feared I might be lacking in. I wasn't planning in the beginning but I'm now dropping Felix so I can invest more in other people. Heck I might consider getting Freddy now although it would only for the paralouge which I dunno if one should do that or not...
  3. Hmm interesting which means in my case it would only mean Linhardt. I was planning to get Shamir and Catherine early but from what I read this means I'll have to gift spam them first. I can also see myself dropping Felix for Catherine since they fill similar roles. Which probably is for the better since I rather use new units on every playthrough. Also War Master looks very sweet and probably one of the better classes with one of the best class mastery as well. I really enjoyed my WM Caspar although it was a slow burn to get there. I see that I have forgotten Dancers. But to be honest out of my pool of characters it would either be Ignatz, Marianne or Flayn. Most likely Flayn in the case I need a rally and a dance.
  4. I recently started GD with no NG+ and it will be my first time playing GD as well and I just finished the mock battle. So I'll probably need some tips for my run. My plan is mostly stick to my original students as much as possible + with some cross recruits since I want to keep as few benched units as possible. Units I know I'll get are Felix, Ingrid and Petra while I'm on the fence and probably will get Freddy and Linhardt simply for the paralouges for Leonie and Lysithea. Honestly I'm very tempted to drop Freddy since I really don't want to spend my time to improving armour. While the rest is will be faculty/knights. I should say that my main healers will be Marianne, Flayn and possible Linhardt if I'm getting him. Flayn will probably will be one of my more important units. Simply for that rescue since holy fuck I wished I had rescue several times during my CF run. If it wasn't for stride, dance and warp I dunno what I could have done instead. I also enjoy having varied classes on my units not one wyvren to rule them all kind of deal. So here is my what I'm thinking what my units should end up in with class mastery in mind: - Claude will end up in his cannon class + bow/wyvern is just awesome following Myrmidon/Fighter > Brigand/Archer > Wyvern Rider > Wyvern Master. I just don't know if I should pick myrmidon for that +2 speed & swap or fighter for +2 strength & proficiency in bow. Same thing when it comes to Brigand v Archer with Deathblow and Hit+20. -Lorenz: Soldier > Dark Mage/Mage > Dark Bishop/Warlock > Dark Knight. Soldier for reposition and now that I'm looking at the mastery I'm now leaning more towards the mage line... Any input? -Raphael: Fighter > Brigand > Grappler > War Master. Another possibility is going through the Armour line. Although Pavise is the only interesting mastery and that 4 mov really is hurting as well. Which is a bummer since I really like the design. -Ignatz Most likely he will be my dedicated rally bot going through Fighter/Soldier/Myrmidon > Thief/Archer > Assassin/Sniper. Don't know which beginner class fits him best though for a rally bot. -Lysithea is no brainer: Monk > Mage > Warlock > Gremory. I'll also probably go into Bishop line for Renewal since I dunno what other class mastery I possible I could dip into when I'm done with the main class line. -Marianne is also a no brainer: Monk > Mage > Bishop > Holy Knight. Hopefully I can play around with Holy Knight this time around. -Hilda will either end up as Falcon Knight or most likely Wyvern Lord haven't decided yet and this is the progression line I'm thinking of: Fighter > Brigand > Wyvern Rider > Wyvern Lord or Soldier > Pegasus Knight > Wyvern Rider > Wyvern Lord or Falcon Knight. -Leonie is a no brainer for me as well: Soldier > Cav > Paladdin > Bowknight Felix is going to stay as Swordmaster and while Mortal Savant was kinda fun when I tried him out during my CF but that spell list and Mag really was a downer. Petra is probably going to be an Assassin since I don't want make her to a Wyvern Rider this time around. I could see making her a Falcon Knight but that probably will need a lot of investment which I dunno is worth it in the end. Ingrid will be Falcon Knight for sure but this time I'll probably go through Wyvern Rider instead of Paladin. I know it's best to save the other students for later but but don't know when really. Otherwise what other input do you people have for me?
  5. Mate I had the same fears. Heck I was even unsure when to gift her stuff since I knew the support are capped and wouldn't go up. Also you're correct about the B support. Thinking about it I found it a bit jarring that some of the support took place in monastery when you were actually in a war camp. This also applied to Edelgard B support to other students iirc it was mainly Freddy and Caspar. But that just tells me that you could have watched the supports post time-skip.
  6. Edel C supports unlocks chapter 5 or 6 iirc and C+ unlocks at 8 or 9 I believe. Actually don't quote me on which specific chapter it is since I don't remember anymore except they usually come rather late. Also IIRC you need to have C or C+ to enter her route because during the final month before the time-skip she will ask you to come with her for a story reason. At least B support isn't time-sensitive from what I remember.
  7. Ah alright so they are on the same team. Anyway I forgot to say you can tell if it's a three way battle if there are two enemy phase and usually it's yellow. I also noticed they tend to ignore each other most of the time unless they somehow came within range of each other. You can and you can sort of farm mastery with a little bit of cheese. If you have the DLC and gold auxiliary battles there are usually a couple of units, usually bishops with renewal and since they heal every turn you can farm mastery this way. Just make sure you don't kill them before you're done.
  8. That's the three way fight we are talking about. While I haven't done all of them I did several when I felt like doing one. All encounters I have done involved one beast, several bandits and the player. Usually the beast is at the edge of the map and depending on what beast it is it will either just stay there or attack the nearby bandits or vise versa while you the player is the the furthest away from the beast. At least on the maps I have played. I also think Ignatz and Raphael paralouge has a beast and iirc it is three-way as well? I just started GD so I don't know if it is the same paralogue during pre-release or not. I also know they showed an Aux Battle with a beast and several bandits pre-release. This has to be the red exclamation point aux battle since you never encounter beasts otherwise from my knowledge.
  9. They appearing during chapter 5 and onward right? Now I only played CF but I do know you get at least one or more usually two per month. Although three sightings is probably the max. With my rough calculation there should be around 24 to 34 encounters depending on the route.
  10. Oh shit I read somewhere use I should use Byleth to spare a couple but I couldn't figure whom and I didn't want to feed Byleth all the boss kills. So that's why I never got Linhardt paralogue. Shit now I feel bad for killing them + for not getting Lindhardt paralogue... At least I'm relived that the rest of paralogues I didn't get was route exclusive. Also thanks mate for answering my questions.
  11. I'll ask it here before I make a thread if I don't get an answer. I finished CF route a couple of days ago and I somehow felt I didn't do as many paralogue and then I realized I never did Ferdinand/Lysithea (Apparently it's the same paralogue but I didn't get either of them so I don't know), Lindardt and Caspers paralogues. Which makes me wonder why? Are these route exclusive or did I somehow miss a trigger to activate these paralogues without me even realizing it?
  12. Finally finished CF a couple of days ago. and the two solo endings which I end up feeling sad was Manuela and Shamir. While the rest got a paired ending. Main problem was there were not enough males to go around for getting everyone paired I guess? I actually didn't really plan any of these with the exception of Edelgard whom I picked for Byleth and Felix/Ingrid since I tried to collect as many support as possible with all the character with each other. The endings I got was: Petra/Caspar - Nothing of note really. Was pretty meh but at the same time sweet. Mostly meh. Hubert/Dorothea - I liked they created an spy-network as they worked in Opera. Ferdinand/Bernadetta - Honestly Ferdinand was such a smoother in all his A supports but I really did enjoy that he got with Berny in the end. And to be honest I wouldn't care whom he ended up with since I really liked Freddy and all his A supports. Linhardt/Marianne - Was hoping for Lysithea since they get children together but I liked the this pair aswell since for some reason I really didn't want Marianne to get an solo ending. Hanneman/Lysithea - Same as above was more hoping for Hanneman/Marianne but was happy to get this ending nonetheless. Felix/Ingrid - Honestly I expected them to return to their homeland not mercenaries. Which is to be expected in but I mainly thought they would get Azure Moon ending. Which made me realize that there were different endings depending if they were in house or not. And these were the only characters I had really. For a while I was planning to recruit more units to my house but I decided it would be more interesting for me only getting a couple of each house.
  13. I'll start with GD then. Just remembered that church route is very similar if not the same as GD and I rather not do same thing twice in a row.
  14. Sigh and I just recently started BE Hard/Classic. Oh it matters not since I'll just pick another house instead. So what do people recommend for Maddening GD or BL. Also am I to believe that BL story is stronger compared to GD? I'm having such a hard time to pick which house for my fresh maddening run 😅
  15. I'm happy because I never got the Wii U and I really wish for a port for a long time. Its as if my prayers have been answered.
  16. I managed to pull a free 5* Hector on the returning banner. He got -HP/+Def which is far better than other Hector that is -Atk/+Res. Although the two heroes I was gunning for were F!RobinGrima and Naga and I didn't get neither. Now after I spent all my orbs which was around 200 I believe. I got two Brunos which I immediately deleted, I also got Duma (+HP/-Res) and my final 5* was Julia (+HP/-Def). Just you wait Naga, I'll get you next time...
  17. I just spent about 90 of my free orbs that I got and I was mainly aiming for any of the blue heroines Mainly Naga and RobinGrima. And what did I get? 2 freaking Bruno's in the same session. I hate this game lately since it keeps showering me with 5* healers.... Plz game stop giving me healers....
  18. I'll either pick Hector or Camilla as a start since those are the only units I have. To bad I didn't get Hinoka otherwise it would be her... And I can see the winner is basically already decided before the event even started. Some things never change xD
  19. I tried the voting gauntlet summoning since I really like Hinoka design and flying archer. Alas 5 or so sessions without a single grey stone in sight. And when I finally got one it was of course 5* Bardy. Useless piece of shit. Dunno what to with him since I got several far better healers than him. I think I'll save my remaining orbs for upcoming legendary hero banner. Gotta farm those free orbs since I just recently returned to this game after more of a year of absence.
  20. I'm actually interested in this. I'm on chapter 4 now and I got Edelgard and Hubert with C in Authority from instruction. I'm thinking of instructing Ferdinand so he can have the C battalion of knights or whatever. Or should I just ignore instructing people with authority and slap battalion on everyone instead so they get trained that way instead so I can instruct other things instead?
  21. I'm just at the end of the month of chapter 3. I noticed that I can't get C support with Edelgard. I take it because of story reason? Can someone please tell me when I can get her C support and the rest of it so I don't waste support point.
  22. Wait I can't pick and choose the DLCs I want? Then it's settled it will be the base game and grab the season pass instead.
  23. Thanks, forgot to add I'll get the EU ver. And like you said I would gotten it without a heart beat if I could get more value of my money. The more I think about this I'll probably be happy with just the base game. Speaking of season pass does 3H have it or not?
  24. I'll just ask it here since I don't see this warrant its own thread. My question is is the limited edition worth it? Considering buying one since my local game store have a couple of copies left. Yet at the same time I'm not that hype about it considering the price and I'm a bit on short on cash since I'll be buying the switch with Three Houses.
  25. More or less yes and on purpose since I like to lots of things before starting a playthrough, especially games like FE. At least when it comes to story most of them I got spoiled are out of context. Or in case of Flame Emperor I'm not bothered since it tends to be super obvious long before the reveal.
