  1. I do realize this. Would having a calorie surplus once a week be bad? I tend to eat really healthy a vast majority of the week and have complete control over my appetite, however on the weekends I kinda say "fuck it" to myself and overeat/ binge on foods. I don't consider this to be an ED since I stop eating once I feel stuffed and I don't vomit it out.
  2. Good to know. I binge eat once a week on junk- mostly sugar. I guess this explains why my weight manages to stay in the same ballpark.
  3. I heard of something known as caloric overload where the body cannot process an excess number of calories abruptly. Is this theory in play? Also is this why competitive eaters seldom gain weight from all the challenges they do? Anyways, I thought 3500 calories make a lb- do the excess calories have to accumulate over a long period of time in order to gain a lb?
  4. My family had some visitors over today and we ordered a lot of food, problem is I consumed too much of it. I ate about 3/4 an order of Sweet and Sour Shrimp AND Beef with Oyster Sauce as well as half an order of Fish with Black Bean Sauce. I do not normally eat this much, but my appetite had skyrocketed and considered this day a "cheat". I did not eat this all in one meal, it was split between lunch and dinner. Between meals I craved sugar and ate an Eggo waffle and a slice of Chocolate Mousse cake. I weight 135 lbs and stand at 5"5.

    Unusual habits.

Let's discuss some unusual habits in this topic. For me: -I cannot feel comfortable sitting in a chair unless my foot is beneath my behind. Don't know why. -When I feel excited, my hands uncontrollably tickle my back. -I have a very strong appetite on the weekends. I generally eat very healthy, but on Fridays or Saturdays, I just binge on junk foods and Chinese takeout. Not necessarily an ED since I stop when I feel stuffed and I don't purge. Somehow I have not gained any weight from this (I do have indigestion as I am typing). -In order to fall asleep, I MUST lie on my right side then shoft to the left. No idea why but my body needs this to happen.
  6. Not sure what is the best position on this. On one hand, hormones are all over the place and a youth's body is not fully developed. Yet on another, calorie counters can work for someone who is only 18. Would a 5'5, 132 lb 17.75 year old male be making the right choice in tracking? Also on another note, what would one's activity level (Sedentary, Lightly Active, Moderately Active, etc) be if I were to exercise every other day, or about 4x a week? Can someone accurately calculate my TDEE?

  10. I do not feel any guilt in over indulging myself but I do feel bad, physically speaking. My body is not accustomed to having consumed large amounts of food; haven't done so in months. Wouldn't worry about any non water-weight gain; I have the the entirety of next year to make up.
  11. How do you guys feel about this? How often do you go back to games you have completed? When playing games that only have one save possible (i.e Pokemon) do you feel hesitant to overwrite the previous file?
  12. So diet is far more important than excercise in the long run. Alright. I binged these last few days as it is the holidays, but I won't make it a daily occurence.
  13. 5"5 and 132 lb male here. I do not do any weight training but I do cardio on a treadmill 5 times a week with 2 days of rest during Wednesdays and Thursdays. What I would do is on Friday, I do some incline walking on 10% incline, rotating the ndxt day with HIIT. Following a pattern, I end on Tuesday (5th day) with HIIT. I originally started excercising several months ago in hopes of losing weight, but in the last few months, I just use it to maintain my weight and health. Due to some events in my life, I would only be able to use it every other day, giving me 4 days of the week to do cardio. If I stop doing incline and make HIIT my primary cardio activity, would this be enough to maintain my physical health? I am not doing this in hopes of building muscle or cutting fat. Normally, my incline walks are 30 minutes long and my HIIT runs are 25 minutes long, alternating with periods of 30 second sprinting and minute long walking. The American Heart Association advises 25 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity 3x a week so perhaps this may work out, but I would like a second opinion. I am not a sedentary person as I do a fair amount of walking during the day. Alternatively, I could just keep on doing the incline, but increasing it to 40 minutes to make up for the missing 5th day.
  14. I am a male student and currently being pestered by this girl. This girl makes the most random comments to me such as "Hi Zerxen! Love you- gonna marry you one day!" Thing is I do not like her whatsoever and did not do anything that suggests that I do. We only talked to each other a handful of times and yet she does this sort of thing to me in public, having made an entire classroom laugh at me. I don't know her well enough but from what I have seen, this girl is fake.
  15. What are some games that you've played with gameplay elements never seen in others? For me, I gotta go with the MegaMan Battle Network games. Though it is an ARPG, I have not seen a single game that is reminiscent of the series.
  16. Figures, my family bought some Chinese takeaway so I had a little cheat meal. Hopefully this gives me a boost tomorrow.
  17. I do cardio 5 days a week, with Wednesdays and Thursdays my rest days. I do not lift and I rotate between HIIT runs and incline walking (4 mph on 11 percent incline for 30 minutes) on the treadmill. For example, I would do incline on Friday, HIIT on Saturday, etc. For several months I had the energy for this, but today, it was gone. I realized that I was sleepy and I figured it may be a lack of energy, which I found strange since I had a banana prior to the run. I gave up after 10 minutes and decided to just try again tomorrow. Am I making the wrong choice in trying to listen to my body? I have had a minor cold the last few days so that could be a culprit but that hasn't affected me earlier this week. Does my body just need to rest?
  18. That seems to be the consensus. I am drinking extra water to lose the water weight.
  19. 3500 calories above maintenence for weight gain right? Will my actions cause gains to happen?
  20. It was mainly to put emphasis on how I look to food for pleasure. Anyway, should I just move back to my regular habits or is there anything I must compensate for?
  21. I can gain 5 lbs and would still be at a healthy weight. As an asexual male with a very narrow range of interests, one of the few things on life I derive pleasure from is food. I should be worried since if this type of behavior occurs frequently, I may gain back the weight I lost.
  22. Figured. Will any weight gain (non water weight) come up from my actions? I swear, this has the most I have eaten in months.
  23. So on the 30th of October, me and my family celebrated the birth of my sister; in doing so, we ate breakfast at Denny's and bought cake, ice cream, and sushi. As someone who had lost 30 lbs recently from religious dieting and excercise, I decided to make this my first official cheat day, not meal. It just so happens Halloween would come, leading me to binge a second time, eating leftover cake and consuming DOZENS of pieces of chocolate. I am well aware that weight gain doesn't come instantly- it comes when excessive eating becomes a habit. I must've consumed 3000+ calories in each day need some advice in recovery from this act. Should I just resume my normal eating habits? As a 5 foot 5 and 135 lb male, I generally consume anywhere from 1800-2200 calories on a given day, though I am not sure what is my exact maintanence.
  24. Currently unemployed but have over 600 bucks from family and gift money. I do not have that many interests so I just spend my cash on snacks and video games. I believe in "less is more" so I reserve my money when there is a sale or if I am starving.
  25. In the past, I went to bed around 10:15 and wake up around 7 AM. About a month ago, I decided to try out waking up at 6 AM in order to maximize the amount of time to myself during the day. In those weeks that followed, I had absolutely no problem waking up on my own around 6- 6:30; as a matter of fact, I no longer needed my alarm clock. Two weeks, I was facing some constipation problems that forced me to awaken around 3 AM in addition to newfound late night urinations. These problems have subsided, but recently I now awaken at 4:30 - 5 AM, though I now fall asleep quicker. These nights, I receive about 6- 6.5 hours of sleep. I am a 17 year old male who feels refreshed upon awakening from 6 hour sleep and does not feel signs of sleep deprivation. On a side note, there are times where I do awaken at the middle of the night, though I manage to fall back asleep within moments. I know that having 8 hours of sleep is just a myth and not everyone needs the same requirements.
