  1. I've been meaning to do that but unfortunately incline never worked, literally. The treadmill in the household was something our neighbors gave away.
  2. I have been trying out other excercises. I have been doing wall pushups to build up some upper body strength. With the damaged treadmill, I have also been doing jumping jacks and step ups using a chair to makeup for my decreased cardio. It is actually pretty fun and I can see myself doing this everyday. I also walk my dog on a daily basis so this is icing on the cake (I have been doing this before dieting or working out.)
  3. No, I have a younger sibling to care for in my home and our parents are not home very much. Using a treadmill is more convient since it allows me to be at home with my sibling. Also, walking IS cardio. Even if it isn't intense as running, it is much better than sitting on your bum all day.
  4. Okay so my treadmill has been- worn out... The model is an Image 16.0q so it isn't exactly a quality product. Normally I run on the treadmill but recently it has been shaky. Would it be a good idea to substitute running with extended periods of walking? Like I walk at 4 mph for 30-45 minutes.
  5. Does weight for people vary upon the time of day? Today I weighed myself at 163.8 lbs. I weighed myself yesterday and the scale told me I was 165.6. Unless I lost weight in a day, I find it quite odd. Both times, I weighed myself during noonish.
  6. B/W of the anime is not canon. "Folklore has it that on moonless nights, this Pokémon will make people see horrific nightmares." As many of you know, Ash lost the Sinnoh League to Tobias, a trainer who owns a Darkrai. Since Ash was the first person to actually defeat his Darkrai in battle, Tobias sought out a way to discourage Ash in the future. The night after the League ended, Tobias sent out his Darkrai to lock both Ash and Pikachu within a nightmare. This nightmare involved Ash and Pikachu heading to Unova to win the league there, however, Ash appears to be inexperienced and his companions were constantly putting Ash down for being different. In the real world, Brock takes both Ash and Pikachu to Pallet Town believing both of them are in a coma. Delia looks after the two of them and gets several visits from Dawn and Cynthia, hence the reason they appear in the meloetta portion of Ash's nightmare. Some time later, Alexa arrives in Pallet Town to write a document about the effects of the nightmares caused by Darkrai. Alexa gives Ash and Pikachu a lunar wing from when she was documenting Cresselia and the two of them wake up from their long slumber. Alexa then convinces Ash that if he wants to continue his dream of becoming a pokemon master, she would recommend for them to go to Kalos next." (Copied from my Reddit account)

After that, I send out Combusken to boost his stats, baton passing into either Huntail, Relicanth, or Heracross.
  8. When it comes to counting calories, should you "erase" calories that have been burnt out from excercise? Not to say that I will eat back those calories, I heard that's bad.
  9. What is with you and eating disorders? Counting calories does not equal starving yourself. It is just watching what you eat and how much of it was consumed. Stop pretending to be some sort of expert. I got overweight because of a lack of calorie counting. Calorie counting will get me out of this problem.
  10. I agree with you 100 percent. Ever since I started exercising and counting calories, I have learned how to watch what I eat. I have not developed any eating disorders, I just developed new healthy habits. This is going to sound silly but I hardly feel stressed at all. I am overweight because I have a sweet tooth; I overcame that by eating more fruits. Loopulk, can you please stop giving your "advice". Quick research shows that your thinking is full of garbage. If you think that eating while bored, something that is common, is an eating disorder, obviously you don't know what is or isn't an eating disorder. Calories are very important for losing weight. It doesn't have to be accurate, just an estimate of what you are putting in your body. You probably don't know much about this since you most likely never been overweight and never learned how to deal with these struggles.
  11. So recently, I realized that somewhere above my eyebrows, there is a bone. I never noticed this in my life and a Google search told me this is an eyebrow ridge.
  12. When I started working out weeks ago, I never calorie counted, I started counting yesterday. Around that time I long stopped eating if bored.
  13. I am getting tired of your arrogance. I do not eat when I am bored. I only eat when I am hungry. Stop acting like you are some sort of doctor because I can tell you are not. Clearly you misread my PM.
  14. I am just gonna assume 500 for what I ate, this isnt exactly a well known restaurant and I dont know how their dishes compare to others.
  15. Hey guys, do you know how much calories Orange Chicken has? I had some for dinner and I ate about either 1/4 or 1/3 of the whole serving. This was from Chinese restaurant nearby.
  16. To be fair, humans long ago had to hunt and gather their food. Given that junk food didn't exist until recently, I doubt overweight people existed thousands of years ago. I am no doctor or physician, but calorie counting gives you an estimate of where you are at. Calories do not make you full, fiber does. You could have eaten 3000 calories in one day, yet if you lacked fiber, you will starve.
  17. Also how exactly does losing weight work? It is my knowledge that 3500 calories is what it takes to lose or gain a pound. Does 3500 calories have to be in one day or is it over the course of week/month? I need someone to explain the process to me.
  18. Is it bad to eat late night snacks? I heard it messes up your metabolism. Sometimes I would get hungry at like 9 PM, causing me to resort to eating boiled eggs. I kinda stopped eating sweets and cereals so late at night after reading it was unhealthy. Anyway I started counting calories like you guys said I should do and I realized I only had 1546 calories today; I burnt about 350-400 calories from my exercises so it's only like 1200 calories I had. Baby steps.
  19. I do not quite have acess to excercise equipment such as weights. Would improvised equipment be a bad idea? I could use filled up milk jugs and large rocks as weights perhaps. I am really inspired by the Rocky films in doing this.
  20. Okay, today I made modifications to my excercise. I start of walking 3.5 mph on the treadmill for 5 minutes. I jog/run at a speed of 5 mph for 30 minutes without stopping. To cool down, I walk again 3.5 mph for 5 minutes. Is this more effective?
  21. My Any other advice regarding diet? My family is Asian and I am kinda expected to eat white rice. Unlike them, I only eat about less than a cup. Should I do any additional excercises to remedy this? I am considering doing leg lifts and jumping jacks to add on to the treadmill. I am also considering doing modified pull ups through the bars of the treadmill.
  22. So about a week ago, I started working out through my home's treadmill. I am male, 5'5 and approximately 160-170 lbs (not sure the exact number, I lack a weighing scale). Recently, I've cut down sugary foods from my diet and resorted to eating more fruits as a result. As for vegetables, I've been eating spinach more often; I don't worry about greens too much since I enjoy eating them several times a week. I have also been drinking more water, about 9-10 cups. For the past week, I've been using treadmill for about 30 min every day, with the first five minutes as a warmup and the last five minutes as a cool down period. About 20 minutes of the work out was me running at 6mph. Any advice for losing a few pounds? I am looking at extending the workout to a full hour. Either that, or I will try doing a HIIT workout.
  23. So I have been watching the Android and Cell saga through Toonami. Anyway I would like to get caught up regarding past episodes using Abridged episodes. I know they focus more on humor but maybe I can get an idea of the story. There are just too much episodes.
  24. I would disagree. Last year before I gave my entire hair a buzzcut, my hair (on top) was about two inches long. I visited the barber about every 2-3 weeks for him to trim it while it did a buzz cut to the sides. The amount he trimmed from my head is equivalent to the size of an eraser's pencil. My hair seems to grow faster compared to most people so maybe that's the reason.
