I like the consistent style of the characters. It's always weird to see the artwork for old games next to new ones because of the obvious differences, but this makes it all seem like they belong together. :3

Yup, that's what I have planned. The elimination rounds will be multiple vote, and the final round will be single vote.
How many votes will we get and how will voting be conducted? (And when should we vote by? :p)

We'll most likely just have an elimination round and then a final round. Something like:
All illustration/sprite based together = top 25 go to final round
All written works/misc together = top 25 go to final round
We've received illustrations/sprites the most by far, written works and misc combined add up to about the same amount. So we'd be looking at two 50~ submission rounds with the top 25 of each of those as the finals. We can just have both rounds last a few days to a week to ensure that people have the time to look at each of the submissions they'll be voting on.
If you let me know the final format ahead of time I can make even spiffier voting/organizational charts for rounds 1, 2 & 3! Not entirely sure which format you're going with but I'll try to accommodate any of them. :3

I have 2 Awakening carts, so 6 of these are just Corrins made from the Robins. And three of these (Caitlyn, Lucy, & Curvent) are new. So I spent a lot of time in the customizer to figure them out.
I was tempted to get two Awakening games, but ultimately I just logged my avatars and started a new file over old ones. I thought about "recreating" one of my Robin characters and running through with that, but Fates already has so many Awakening characters I decided against it. >.>
But, thanks to my SE version of the game, I'm going to use the heck out of those 9 save slots. :p
I have to think up 7 more avatars to use...

Just hit 96 submissions! We've gotten such a ridiculous amount that I may take a two day break to run a poll on how you guys want to handle voting. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to do, but I was planning for ~50 or so submissions, lol. I think we'll need to take a break before voting just so everyone can check out all of the submissions, anyway! I'll discuss things with Lenh and we'll see if we can come up with a fair voting method before resorting to a poll.
That's a cool idea! I'll let you and eclipse sort that out

Can you make this a viewable Google Doc, set to View Only? I'd make a dummy GMail just for this.
(real reason is that I clicked on that, downloaded it, and then waited for my computer to unlock because my RTF file association is bonkers. Also, people on Chromebooks won't be able to view it natively)

I think "Rhajat" is pronounced "Raw j at," with the j sound being the same as in the word "Japan." Could be wrong about that though. It's an odd name that seems out of place as far as the naming conventions go, but maybe that's the point considering the character.
This is why I disliked the name - every time I read it I'm going to have stop, really think about how it's pronounced, and only then move on. It rolls off the tongue like tar. -_-
Then again, maybe half the letters are silent? And her name is pronounced more like "Raw"? I have no idea...

For the most part I had gotten used to calling them by their Japanese names. I occasionally still call Azura "Aqua" even though her official name has been out forever.
That being said, I like the change of Hydra to Anankos and Joker to Jakob. (I always thought Joker was a bizarre name for the butler, to be honest - very anime-like).
I disliked Leon to Leo and Syalla to Rhajat (mostly because I'm not entirely sure how this name should even be pronounced - it's not English, it's not Japanese... >.>)
All the other name changes were minor and/or I had very little opinion about it. I'm sure I'll get used to them, but it'll be awhile. <.<

I made a chart to keep track of the contest entries. I made it for myself (to organize my thoughts) and thought other people might find it useful. I attached it to this post.

- Gameplay. Specifically the return to varied objectives and thought-intensive maps. :3
- Music. This game seems to have a lot of it - and it's really good.
- English VA. I like it so far and really want to hear the rest.
- Supports. Fire Emblem stands apart from other games of its type by having memorable characters. Can't wait to read these.
- My Castle. Doing bizarre stuff between battles sounds interesting. Can't wait to see how it plays out. :3
