  1. I swear, 64% feels more like 20%, it just never happens when you need it to.
  2. Oh hey, I almost forgot. I get an extra deployment slot in Sakura's map. That means... Siegbert this map, Izana the next, and then the man, the legend, the myth. Rallyman. Yet another generic for the pile. It's hilarious how this is the run where I've used the most captured units. Half the fucking team lol. Hopefully I can beat the game and prove you don't need supports, personal skills or royal blood to be an asset. Haitaka and Kumagera sure are proving that! ...Senno, not so much. The poor guy's kinda bad against anything that doesn't fly. But I love him, so he stays. Well, for the record, despite the lower stats Elfuigi has been way more of an asset since I reclassed him from sniper to kinshi knight. So yeah. I'd say it's worth a shot, flight's utility cannot be overstated. Doesn't Hinoka nerf the movement of foot units? In my previous runs I used that to my advantage. I approached Setsuna while her movement was nerfed, then swarmed her once it returned to normal. Though I suppose Selena being on a horse might complicate matters...
  3. Jesus that was so fucking intense. And difficult. Asuka grabbed the boss kill. Now it's only one level till she gets rally speed, which is always a neat skill to have. Ahhhh, man...
  4. Oh my God I did it. I DID IT! YES! I AM A FUCKING BADASS GODDAMNIT! I figured it out. Turns out the solution was... patience. I'd bought far enough time to just hold back and stall for one turn. This made the group of faceless blocking the DV move forward, leaving it wide open. Then I just had to fly Charlotte ahead, take out the stoneborn through luck with the 64% critrate, and massacre the stuck faceless. There's few enough enemies left alive now that I can actually clear the top area and defeat the boss before moving on. The pursuing enemies won't catch up in time. Hell yeah.
  5. Fucking hell, I made it to the very end and I can't figure it out. The final dragon vein is surrounded by mooks and I desperately need it. Aaaaaahhhhh. ...Maybe I can give the arms scroll the middle finger. I hate it, I really do, I want it, but I don't know if I can get it.
  6. Ahh, I'm such a fool. Of course! I should've known. The answer was, instead of trying to carefully maneuver to defeat the onslaught of faceless with precision and flair, to throw Kumagera with a killer axe at them. ...Seriously though, I got super lucky there, he got like 5 crits on a 30% chance.
  7. OH MY GOD I AM THE WORST I JUST FUCKING REMEMBERED CAMILLA POOPING OUT IGNATIUS MEANS HE CAN ACTIVATE DRAGON VEINS TOO AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
  8. Aaaaand I misclicked, so the attempt goes down the drain. Well, it was pretty doomed anyway. Sigh...
  9. I've been away from the computer all day. Instead of visiting the family, this time the family visited us. Either way, I had plenty of time to ponder on how to beat the stairway to hell. I have no fucking clue how I'm going to beat the stairway to hell. Let's see if I can figure something out. Eyyy. All right, I'll give myself some more credit.
  10. Well, thanks for the thorough write-up. I think the circumstances are a little too different, but... oh well, I'll figure someting out. With a meal he could pull it off. I never take meals into account since I hardly ever remember to use the restaurant in this game. Besides, it'd kinda feel like cheating, since I'm using an infinite resources code to bribe captives into my team without having to keep resetting the game and pushing the computer's clock forward... I haven't used a single enfeeble charge, but on the other hand, I can't buy anything because I spent 8k on a brave bow... that nobody can use. Then I saved over it before I realized. I am a very stupid person. If at all possible I'd like to get the arms scroll so I can push one of my bow users to A bows. I do have Charlotte. She has over 60% crit with the killer axe, but it never works because I am really fortunate. I already have Elfuigi as a kinshi knight for the flying DV shenanigans. I'd rather not have to sell my soul to Camilla if I can at all help it. I'm not that desperate quite yet.
  11. I knew it. It's always that fucking dipshit ruining everything. If I had extra deployment slots I'd kill her. Nope. Nope. ...Haha I'm fucked aren't I-- Two, and let's not forget one of them was a failure. I mean, the dragon veins are there to let me kill the stoneborn safely. The problem is that I have no means to one-round them and not nearly enough veins to get to the end safely. ...Ohh, this is gonna be a mess...
  12. Why the bolt axe in particular? It seems like a really mediocre option to me. Axe users aren't exactly known for their magic, and the stoneborns cannot be doubled. My only option is Kumagera with 15 magic, but he deals like 11 damage to them. As for lightning, Niles doesn't have enough magic to one-round a stoneborn. I invariably need someone to whack them with the blessed lance or a shining bow, and then either I use a dragon vein or the first attacker dies because there's three stoneborns in range at any given time. And I don't have enough veins in this difficulty. I have no idea what to do. Did I fuck up with my team comp yet again? I know half my team is captured bosses, but at some point the claim "everyone is viable in Conquest" has to hold up. I really want to believe this doesn't have to be Royal Emblem. ...Bah, to hell with it, I'll do it later. Fuga's Wild Ride was also daunting at first glance and then I figured it out. It's just a matter of time.
  13. I wonder if I'm a good enough player to beat this map. Holy shit this is impossible.
  14. How do you win stairway Hah! Well, I'm pretty sure a reclass to cavalier fixes him pretty good. I mean, yeah, but he required some favoritism. Of the exclusive recruitable bosses in Conquest, I'd say he's definitely the worst. Zhara has pass, Gazak has a 75% defense growth and pavise, Haitaka and Kumagera are awesome... Senno's just kinda there with his useless Seal Magic skill lol Yeah he does, but his stats aren't the best and I haven't yet found a situation in which pass has really made much of a difference. He's good, but he's no demigod like the royals.
  15. I am doing the eternal stairway. I haven't the faintest idea what I'm doing, but I seem to not be dying yet, so... good enough? > Senno > Zhara > Generic adventurer and pegasus Hahaha... Yeah, sure. I'm not even using Nichol who's like, Camilla 2. I will concede Haitaka and Kumagera though. Those two are insanely good. This much is true. This much is untrue.
  16. I was hoping someone would catch that. While his big con is one of his main highlights, I wouldn't say it's his "redemption" stat. He has the best availability, the best starting staff rank and the best bases relative to his join time of the three healers (and compared to Natasha, just better period). Natasha will work at a disadvantage for a long time, and L'Arachel will struggle to catch up without some grinding on the side. Moulder's speed is pretty good too, and with his con he'll often be doubling stuff to compensate for his weaker magic. Luck is a bigger concern, but Knoll ideally won't ever have to take a hit and will stand in the backlines summoning, healing and providing occassional chip damage, so Moulder can grab the Hoplon Guard just fine. So yeah, what I'm saying is, Boulder good. Hah! Bold of yous to assume a Luigi fanboy such as myself has not played the Mario RPG series where he's the deuteragonist. I've played them all. I believe I dropped Inside Story due to issues with the emulator and Paper Jam because rescuing toads is not fun, but I beat the other three. Dream Team was my favorite as a kid because Luigi importance, but looking back I think Superstar Saga may be better. I still feel they're all great games. Enough that I've replayed DT, SS and PiT, even. Way more fun and dynamic than the average RPG... Well, other than Paper Jam. That one got tiresome with the toads. Truly a damn tragedy, what happened to AlphaDream. No hard feelings to Paper Mario, but it just doesn't compare in my humble opinion. It really is. Trying to beat it with a regular team is straight up a gamble. You've got to be shitting me. The best I've ever gotten was a steel sword yesterday! Because you're boring. You should learn from me and use bad units. It's fun and not boring.
  17. What?! That makes no sense to me. Moulder does not appeal to you. You're the loliman. You should go for the closest thing to a loli healer in the game: the trash cleric. ...eeehhh... Meh. Moulder Rallyman is the stuff of dreams. Speakimg of Rallyman, it won't be too long till I meet the legend for myself. I cannot wait! L'Arachel's wonderful, but she's not The Boulder. Her stache stat is far lower than his. If only it were that easy in real life.
  18. You, too? Well, I don't use this word often, but Based.
  19. lol I went into the good wiki's discord to report the mistake, since it misled me into believing I couldn't have an army of Candaces and I'm sure it did for a couple other people too. The person I spoke with told me it was the first time in three years they had spoken about Fates positively. I am truly glad to have been the one to bring some light into the darkness. Also, I found a fellow Frost fan. I believe that makes... four of us? Five of us? Either way, it made me smile.
  20. Oh, by the way. While I had a minute, I went ahead and checked out a myth that I had been meaning to corroborate for a while now. So you know the wiki that everyone says is good while the other one stinks? Turns out, that one is capable of making mistakes as well. In direct contradiction to what the good wiki states, you can capture the bosses that appear in the Museum Melee DLC. They appear as "visitors", but their name changes to their regular one when they reach the prison. Which means you can have Daniela in Conquest and build an army of Candaces. Very important knowledge, right there. I haven't checked if it's possible to capture Omozu, however. I've heard not, but we'll see. I just have to wonder why this happens. It's super weird. Every other "visitor" cannot be captured, but the capturable bosses that show up can. Recycled character profiles, perhaps? It's either some sort of technical shortcut that led to these dudes being considered capturable, or they did it on purpose so you could have route-exclusive bosses in every route. Either way, I like it. Pffft. Amazing. Hey, don't sweat it. Social anxiety is something that I'm sure most of us can relate to. I know I can. I hope you have better luck tomorrow! All right, duly noted. Hah! Well, gameFAQs is just the meme at this point. It was the general mindset back in the day for the entire community. Yeah true. Apologies for the late response. You have to go to the citra menu, right-click the completely legit Fates copy and select "go to location of mods" or something like that. There, you have to create a folder named "exefs" and drop the code.ips patch there. That's all. If you want to add more mods it gets more complicated, but for the moment that should be enough. Wait... GAA's Payne is called Auchi? That's fucking brilliant.
  21. And with that, Fuga's Wild Ride comes to an end. Screw the haters, I still like this map. Lunatic made it super intense, it took me a ton of tries to get a proper strategy going, but eventually I managed to ride the wind to Fuga, sort out the moving enemies and from there it was a simple matter of going from group to group of enemies, cleaning up the map. Got all the treasure, all the experience, all the everything. Even nabbed me a falcoknight and a priestess! The priestess will hit the bench, because Edsel the adventurer is still going strong, but the falcoknight looks pretty great! She has stats comparable in some aspects to Elfuigi, B staves, and she's got trample, so that's an extra 5 attack against 90% of the enemies left in the game. But I have no room... ...Pfffhahahaha, ahhh fuck you Siegbert. You're hitting the bench for the generic. Sorry, dude. I trained you up to level 7 and you gained... serviceable stats, but everything you can do, Iggy can do better and he flies too. For this transgression, I demand that in your current run of Sacred Trilogy, you use An old man. That's right, 06. You're gonna use Moulder instead of Lena recolor nÂș 8. Tremble and despair! Less kawaii for your team! Plus that way you get to tell me what they did to my favorite character in the game
  22. F Hope it wasn't anything too bad. I mean, she's a royal, but she's also a footie staffbot with pretty awful bases. Then again, I never really gave her a chance. Maybe her growths are Wolfgar tier? Great, just my luck to end up in such a place... P for pathetic, E for excrement, R for rotten, I for idiotic. Like mother, like son. Haha, nah, he just got one-rounded by a bolt naginata. Meanwhile Senno survived getting clobbered by Fuga twice with 2 HP. I totally had that planned.
  23. Oh, man. I won. I beat Fuga's Wild Ride. Well, almost. I'm going to stick around and do a couple of things, but I can seize any time I want. Gotta say, for as much as people complain about it, the wind only served to benefit me. If you handle yourself right you can sneak your entire army to Fuga without even having to sacrifice three folks to Hayato's hexing rod. Also, Kumagera gains experience at the speed of light. Shura has paragon and he doesn't gain experience that fast. He's level 11 and he shows no signs of ever slowing down. I wonder what's up with that. I heard he has a low internal level. Does anyone know someplace I can check everyone's internal level thingy?
  24. Hahahahahahahahaha! Yes, Siegbert! Luck is what you need! A single point of luck out of a level? In Fates!? Boy, I wish they were all as great as you, Siegbert! That's the kind of thing I would say, which does not help your case, now, does it?
