  1. If you're talking about skinship, wouldn't that have been Nintendo of America's decision, instead of Treehouse's? They have to do what their boss says. I think there was a statement made on it but its been years and I don't quite recall who it came from.
  2. I honestly feel like Treehouse was handed already shoddy work when it came to Fates. The story and writing would be as bad as it was regardless of anything they did. The story got so much backlash that I think we can cross our fingers and hope they learned from their mistakes. I'd like to have faith 3H won't be as bad.
  3. They localized SoV. Tree House did Fates. Since everybody seemed to like SoV's localization, they were all hoping 8-4 would do 3H.
  4. Ya know, I'm also kind of sad we've taken a departure from white-haired MUs. I really enjoyed that design aspect. Though I suppose having two MCs sharing a hair color could spark theories about their relations (even though it could quickly become invalid if we get to pick Byleth's hair color).
  5. I'm really huge on "simulator" type games, like Story of Seasons and Rune Factory 4.. so if I, once again, get those aspects I love in Fire Emblem, I'll be a happy camper. Let me gay marry Claude!
  6. Kind of sad to see that they're sticking to European influences for this game. I really enjoyed the Japanese angle Birthright brought with it. Doesn't make me any less excited though, especially with all the details that have been noticed so far. p:
  7. FE3H isn't on the games list for E3, so we most likely aren't going to see any gameplay. (I assume that's why you're asking p:)
  8. Because people are sharing their opinions in a civil manner. Not everybody will share a single opinion; people are going to dislike things, and we all have the right to express that. Since there's been barely any issues, I'd say things are pretty good.
  9. I'm a bi dude who loves to waifu characters. Totally #TeamClaude
  10. The Japanese title is a bit hard to translate (Four Seasons, but the specific kanji references a poem I believe with a deeper meaning. You can read about it here.) Basically, its difficult to express to a western audience, so they probably said "to heck with it!" and came up with something on their own.
  11. Dimitri's hair looks like a yellow mop. I can't stand it, haha. I laugh a bit every time I see him.
  12. I understand what you mean, but it is useful when having conversations about topics such as these. Also, this same thing with inconsistency in palette re: 3D model happened with Niles in Fe:F, and I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened in Fe:A as well. Its just a trend that sucks. Though I agree the game seems kind of unpolished from the trailer.
  13. I could think of a few reasons, like breaking up the monotony of their color palette, making sure there's contrast. I think it looks cool too, whatever the reason.
  14. I don't think Claude's skin is "mildly tanned". I've known PoC with that same/similar skin tone. PoC come in all kinds of shades. Though, I don't disagree with the notion that the designers "weren't thinking of that", considering this is a Japanese game. So I think I get your point, but from a western perspective, Claude is definitely a PoC.
  15. I really don't like all the mooks/foot soldiers as well. Its crowded and noisy in my opinion. I don't care about fighting wars or the realism of battle to be honest; I enjoyed managing many different distinct units, regardless of how ""unrealistic"" it was to have, say, 26 soldiers fighting and winning a war. I'm open to this change, but I don't like it at all.
  16. If he is the MU, then I don't doubt we'll get to change his name. It seems "Byleth" is derived from demonology, actually.
  17. Byleth is the supposed MU; he's referred to as "teacher" by Edgelord. He's the dark blue-haired man. Dimitri is the blond, blue-themed man. Claude is the dark-skinned, yellow-themed man.
  18. Personally, I assume its what marks them all as "lords". There's also this which touches on the Japanese name for the game and thus ends up explaining why I/we think the trio are lords!
  19. I suspect we'll get at least one banner featuring the main trio before release for the sake of hype. Maybe MU will be in trials or something. We'll just have to see, I suppose. p:
  20. Yup, I agree. I'm hoping for this too. If I play Three Houses on my TV then there's absolutely no reason for it to look bad and choppy. You just can't justify that. If its a stylistic choice to have things go at 6FPS, then, well... its a bad stylistic choice. (Did they not get flak for how bad Echoes looked? Why would they do this again??? I just don't understand, haha)
  21. I've been mulling over it, and honestly, aside from the portraits and some artwork shown, the art is still really bland, boring, and tasteless; especially the cutscenes. I know its supposed to be an edgy war drama, but I wonder if the art director has ever heard of color? Its fine to use muted palette but it looks sooo yuck in this case. And I don't know why they can't just have nice, smooth cutscenes. Awakening and Fates did it. I don't see why its such a difficult feat to accomplish for a Switch game. I hope once they show more I'll be proven wrong; that this all was just an outlier and the game looks fantastic. I really love FE and I really want this game to succeed. I'll be picking this up regardless of how the visuals are and definitely giving it a chance. I hope getting all these complaints out now will help me go into the game with a cool head.
  22. The frames were really bad and the CG looks like it did in Valentia; AKA, also bad. But! Those are my only complaints, and I'm getting them out of the way now. We won't be getting something beautiful like Fates was, but knowing that early on I can get over it pretty quickly. The female character with white hair is who I assume to be the Lord. Looks like green emo dude is the player character, and I think he looks great. Customizable or not, I dig it.
  23. Oooh, I'd like to know. I admit that before I found out Genny is 15 years old, I kinda shipped her and Saber because they look..nice together. ~_~
