Probably the worst debut for Atlus' RPG in a long time. I don't remember any of their games selling less than 50k during the first week (Trauma Team maybe?) and this game did 23k-26k but mind that it's two days of sales instead of the usual four. Still, it's that type of the game that usually dissapears from charts after two weeks because everyone who wanted it bought it early.
Unless some miracle happens the game is a total bomb in Japan. -

Marth only have several voiced lines? Because if this is the case it's strange to see Midorikawa Hikaru being listed first among people voicing FE characters in the credits. Is this just something to emphasize Marth's importance?
I hope the game still has some secrets left, like NG+ bosses.

Wait a minute, did they [spoiler=spoiler for late game cameos]mix up Dolph and Thomas? Because, for some reason the green general during Linde/Gordin etc fight is called Thomas.

"Hate" is a strong word but I think something has changed after Robin and Lucina Smash trailer. Maybe it's just me but IS started to push Lucina as the face of Awakening harder than they did before. This also probably has to do something with Chrom not having Amiibo which means he skipped several possible appearances in different Nintendo games.
I won't comment on Cipher before we know who ends up as cover characters for Wave 4.

Makes me wonder if they plan to release additional booster cards for black/white series somewhere during 6th or 7th wave or just support it with occasional promos. Technically it could be said about all series in Cipher.

Ryouma's hairstyle is based on one particular japanese headwear that looks like a long messy wig with horns. I think it's mostly associated with Takeda Shingen in japanese media. So technically his real hair is based on something that is a pseudo wig.

I had a crazy idea about Marth being another Singaloid because if Tiki = Miku then Marth = KAITO. Also IS really love their opera commercials and recently they referenced it twice.

I still don't get why #FE is getting its own starter deck when the cards are marked blue and red. Hope they don't plan to give it 50 out of 100 booster pack cards (how will they even stretch that?) and leave Mystery and Awakening with 25 each. -

The inclusion of another Cipher original character and alt classes for elder brothers makes me think that someone from Fates will get shafted again. Well, there are always promo cards.

I'm surprised they aren't throwing Jugdral any bones even though FE4 turns 20 in 2016. I also wonder what will they do with FE8 and Gaiden since they are standalone games with the smallest casts and no possibility for additional expansions unless they get very creative. -
The question is, did they base Melee Roy's face and hair on prototype portrait? Because it always bothered me how FE6 Roy looks older than Melee version.

Nobody forced him for sure but it was definitely drawn in order to cheer up/pacify Twitter people. There were plenty of reactionary posts like "I don't dislike Lucina but Chrom is the main lord".

Wow, the whole situation with people being angry/sad about Chrom not being featured on the cover got to the point that Kozaki had to draw Chrom.

It's strange because it sounds nothing like any other FE tracks in S.T.E.A.M. and it's the only full track that wasn't mixed with any other song. I think it might be something from IS' personal vault, kind of like that unused Alm's map theme from RD.

Gaiden seems to be the safest choice mostly because they have already worked out how to improve its concepts in later games. Also there aren't many things they could potentially "ruin" compared to, say, FE4. At this point everything could be an improvement. I think the worst offense would be avatar system to those who dislike it or leaving Alm's maps intact.
Actually I have a hard time imagining MyUnit in Gaiden unless you get TWO MUs (one for Alm, one for Celica) or at least customizable MU for Alm side and his/her uncustomizable childhood friend for Celica's side.
However, it's now or never. I can't imagine IS starting the next generation of Fire Emblem with Gaiden remake because there is no way it will be commercially successful. The best we might get is something made on shoestring budget for 3DS with heavy reusage of Awakening and Fates assets.
