  1. It'll all be pointless when Keenum and Bortles duel it out for SB52
  2. I'm sure the coke and weed have dried up any tears that may have formed also I'm going to miss the videos of bills mafia
  3. No prayers from this guy. Though my roommate is from Tennessee and going to the game next week so you'll get plenty from him
  4. That match up between the Steelers passing offense and Jags pass defense is probably the one I'm most looking forward to next weekend
  5. That was a brutal game. Hard to feel confident if you're a Jags fan
  6. I think LeSean's effectiveness today will determine what kind of fight the Bills put up. I doubt any of their pass catchers can consistently win today, so this offense will sink or swim on Shady's bum ankle
  7. It's ironic that you say that on the day the playoffs start. Seemed like a regular week to me. Also, the degenerate inside me is inspiring me to bet some of these lines... Tennessee (+8.5) @ Kansas City eh, this spread is huge. KC will probably win this one in a blowout, but I'm getting this strange feeling that the Titans offense will look competent today. Atlanta (+6) @ Los Angeles another huge spread, and I'm going with another underdog. I'm not sure why, but I don't feel like the Rams are legit. Of course, the Falcons have been a true model of inconsistency this season, so I'll bet on them having one nice showing before bombing out. Buffalo @ Jacksonville (-8.5) lol I just realized all the spreads this week are huge. Buffalo making the playoffs is a nice story, but I think the happy ends there. Jacksonville's defense is going to dominate, and Bortles won't have to throw more than 18-20 passes. Carolina @ New Orleans (-6.5) The Saints are going to cruise. I think Carolina's defense will be overmatched and Cam Newton has had some very poor stretches of play this year. I like New Orleans, to be honest. I think they could end up representing the NFC in the super bowl
  8. These playoffs are going to be interesting. Pretty unexcited for Playoff Tom to show up (he's good for at least one head-scratcher pick per playoff game) and hopefully he's markedly better than he was to end the year. The Patriots defense is held together with spit and gum at certain positions, and the offense is going to have to really click to make it to Minnesota. KC isn't really a team that scares me, honestly. A lot of Alex Smith's success opening night came due to defensive confusion and blown coverages, the type of shit you figure is ironed out by week 19. I think their secondary is suspect and pass rush isn't quite good enough to keep Brady uncomfortable for 60 minutes.
  9. You want me to tell you how to feel? That doesn't make sense. Just wait until the kickoff for next week's games and try to explain your emotions then. I'm not writing off the Bills, either. The way this season is gone, I wouldn't be shocked to see every wild card team win next week (okay maybe I would but whatever exaggerating is fun)
  10. Honestly, you had to have a truly garbage team not to at least contend for the 6 seed in the AFC this year. I'm glad that it was put to good use EDIT: Slumber, how do you feel about Case Keenum? Also, I don't think it matters if Philly wins. That's not a tough spot to play and the Eagles are probably the worst team in the playoffs for the NFC now
  11. This is such a classic Bengals game. Whenever you need to put faith in them they let you down
  12. While I agree that the AFC is weaker this season, it's hard to prove which conference is better season-to-season. I'm sure you feel differently. We'll have to agree to disagree that TD run by Alex Collins was pretty insane
  13. The winky face indicates sarcasm, Slumber. The schedule wasn't tough this season but you can't just generalize that across the past 8+ years EDIT: Flacco is Flaccoing so hard. 4-18 for 22 yards o__O
  14. saying their schedules are always easy until the playoffs is sort of absurd to me. then again, I guess the Patriots make basically any opponent look bad in the regular season (outside of Denver/Miami) so I can see why you'd say that ;)
  15. eh, without doing any research, I'd say the AFC East has produced at least 2 wins/close losses per season. Those 6 games make up less the half the schedule, anyway. Being a division winner each season means that the Patriots played the previous season's division winners each season as well, ostensibly making their schedule tougher.
  16. James Harrison's debut went pretty damn well, I'd say. Patriots have secured a playoff bye 8 years in a row, which is a record that will absolutely never be touched (and they'll add to it next year) go bengals go. Rooting for the Bills to make the playoffs so hard
  17. Belichick rarely uses "starters" when it comes to his defensive line rotations. It's all about situation, hot hand, etc. when deciding which specific player to deploy in the defensive front. I anticipate Harrison will get pass-rushing snaps on obvious passing downs. If he has any amount of success in that role, every New England fan will be ecstatic. And if he can't contribute? Goodbye. He's a low-risk flier at the team's weakest position. I do like the signing a lot
  18. Don't worry Ana, that was sarcasm. Though I will say, if Harrison has any pass rushing juice left, this will be a quality signing. Edge rusher is easily the position with the least depth in New England and despite their placement in the top half of the league in sacks, the pass rush as been pretty poor this season
  19. James Harrison to the Patriots!!!! Super bowl back on let's goooooooooooooo
  20. I didn't know what effigy meant but I am now capable of using context clues. It would be pretty spectacular if the Steelers somehow lost tonight. Patriots could really use 2 bye weeks heading into the divisional round
