Wow, you're right. Nice chemistry and a bit of worldbuilding--I found the bit about the Fire Tribe worshiping an ancient fire dragon as a God of Flame particularly interesting.

Basically copy/pasted this from my reddit thread, in an effort to get as much speculation as possible. And by "star" I mean get the special conversations with Corrin and nice fanservice picture. Clearly, it's going to be the top winners of the popularity poll, and going off the fanservice DLCs in Awakening, one would assume it would feature the top two most popular males and females. From the preview pictures, we basically know that Xander, Ophelia and Dwyer are featured, and they're in the top two most popular first-gen and second-gens, supporting this theory. However, there are a few problems with it: If they do top two of each gender, the first-gens will be the Nohr royals + Oboro. This will probably annoy people who feel like the royals already have too much time in the spotlight and/or got their fanservice DLC (Beach Royale). Since it's the Nohr royals + Oboro, players who have only Birthright get shafted. This is also true of the second-gens--top two for them are Forrest (Nohr only), Dwyer (neutral), Nina (Nohr only) and Ophelia (Nohr only). There are a couple of ways this can be fixed: Expand the characters featured to include top 4 or 5. That nets you Xander, Leo, Takumi, Jakob and Ryoma for first-gen males; Camilla, Oboro, Elise, Azura, and Hinoka for first-gen females; Forrest, Dwyer, Shiro, Shigure and Hisame for second-gen males; and Nina, Ophelia, Soleil, Selkie and Velouria for second-gen females. There's still a heavy royal slant, but some of the non-royals get some spotlight, too, and there's more of an even distribution in terms of nationality. Problem here is that they have to dig into the high teens/low 20s for the kids, where they don't have as many clamoring fans. Include just the top two royals and top two non-royals of each gender for the first-gen, and the top four of each gender for the second gen. So Xander, Leo, Jakob and Niles for first-gen males; Camilla, Elise, Oboro and Azura for first-gen females; and basically the same kids as above minus Hisame and Velouria. This lets more non-royals shine, but has a heavier Nohr slant than the above. Given that IntSys has promised more maps in the Fates kids DLC compared to the Future Past (6 versus 3), they are willing to giving us more content compared to Awakening--and (I think, correct me if I'm wrong) they've had more time to compile it, four months to Awakening's two or so. So what does everyone think? Will we be getting more characters this time, and if so, how will they handle it? Or are we basically getting the second coming of the Nohr royals?

Speaking of the kids, I just realized something. The Failed Revelation DLC stars Kana, Corrin's daughter/son. ...so what if Corrin married Niles or Rhajat as the same sex? They never have Kana.

Well, maybe they'll expand it to include more winners? Because it slants really heavily Nohr if it's just top 2, so Birthright players get screwed over. Top 4 IntSys plz ;-; EDIT: I just realized/remembered that Xander was in the top three for the marriage poll hosted by Famitsu way, waaaaay back. Maybe they'll base the results off that? It'd be Azura/Felicia/Jakob/Xander then.

He already does that to Corrin, Azura and the royals in Revelation, so if he doesn't do it here it will be out-of-character and disappoint me immensely. please give me Anankos-possessed!Corrin as the final boss

Honestly, no. What would really solve all of Conquest's problems was if Garon was not a flat, one-dimensional villain, or at least tried to pretend he had good goals. Then the Nohrian siblings, Corrin and Azura would actually have a good reason to follow him because they believe in his cause instead of just "DADDY'S NOT EVIL".

Not from what I've seen. I only care about the fanservice convos and pics, to be honest. PvP is RIP now and I was initially hyped for the kids DLC, but now doubt is starting to creep in. Boots and I think an Elite Seal? Maybe we're getting Roy amiibo compatibility?

Top winners. I'm hoping they expand past the royals, because otherwise it's pretty much going to be Beach Royale 2.0, with Oboro being the only non-royal who gets something. Not to mention it'd be heavily slanted towards Nohr, so people who only have Birthright will get hardly anything. Like, c'mon IntSys, top 4? Top 5? There'll be two Nohrians, two Hoshidans and one neutral per gender in that case.

*hopes go down in flames* Please, please let them have included more people other than the royals...please, they already had their fanservice pics...

Does that mean there'll be more fanservice DLC packs?

I agreed with your critique of the art, but your "ew" comment was pretty rude and unnecessary. And I don't really talk to you a lot, so I don't know how accurate my impressions is, but a lot of the posts I've seen from you seem to have you complaining about something.

Why do you have to complain about everything? Sure, the pose is dumb, and I agree that her arms are too skinny, but it's still a pretty piece of art, and Kozaki didn't have to draw it.

I liked pretty much any moment with the siblings. There was one part in Conquest where Corrin was off to Port Dia, and Elise made a comment, and Leo started teasing her, and they all ended up laughing. It felt very sibling-y and heartwarming to me. I'm also fond of a lot of Azura's scenes. I also liked some of the subplots, such as the "traitor" sub-plots in Birthright and Revelation, or the "what's wrong with Takumi" sub-plot in Conquest. I thought the first part of Revelation was really good. was handled quite well, IMO.

Ugh, this so much. I REALLY find a lot of the epilogues disappointing, as well as how to story doesn't seem to acknowledge a characters' married status. I get it, there's a lot of main characters unlike Awakening, and it can't handle them ALL, but they could have at least put effort into the epilogues, instead of just writing two different things up and slapping them together without seeing if they contradict. If anyone ever made a "new epilogues" patch, I would be so happy.

Azura is still one of the best characters written in a Fire Emblem game, ever. I still can't choose between Takumi or Leo for the guys. Takumi is really excellently done, but Leo is such an awesome bro.
